"Never Say Never". Ethan and Olivia are on a stalemate on the future of their marriage; Kim thinks about the next steps in her relationship with Ken; Ethan drops a big news to Cairo's family while visiting him; Olivia is shaken after visiting a tarot card reader and starts questioning her future.

I only watched this because I had nothing better to do, and even then, I didn't pay close attention.

  • Kim's a bitch (what else is new?) and claims Barry's taking his time with the divorce and wishes he has a shack up honey so he'd be more social with hers.
  • I regretted being unable to FF through the Ethan and Olivia dramatics.
  • Hey, I live rather close to that restaurant Moriah works! I couldn't help but notice her employer told her to wear long sleeve shirts.
  • The "fortune teller" Olivia and her friend visited obviously either watches the show or was helped by production. Yeah, you and Ethan are going to get back together in a year or two. 🙄

I cannot imagine Olivia spending time away, returning, and finding anything remotely attractive about that petulant, whiny, translucent man-child known as Ethan. If she does rekindle the relationship, I think it would be because she misses the camera time.

Kim told us that when she does her giggle-girls exchange with Barry, sometimes Ken comes with her.  She said that Ken will get out of the car and make sure to face Barry in an effort to be friendly or whatever.  And my first thought was, that doesn't seem "friendly" at all - on the contrary, it seems threatening.  And why does Ken have to go along anyway?  It's just a flex from Kim that her houseboat is a' rockin.  It's gross.

I had the same thoughts. I get it when a spouse has remarried. But bringing the boyfriend along is just her latest effort to be an insufferable bitch.

Outside of the tension between/around Kim & Barry & KKKen, the Plaths are a borefest. Lydia's singing did not improve a single bit from her "The Hills Are Alive"-esque praise singing out in the fields (or wherever the hell that was, maybe it was the prayer closet, I can't remember).

I'm not saying Olivia makes riveting viewing, but my god she's like our only hope for making this show watchable.

HAHA! I told my wife when Lydia was screeching out a song that whoever told these people that they can sing needs to be slapped. That was before Ethan went into his original sad boy song. I get second-hand embarrassment watching them try to sing while playing the 3 guitar chords that they seem to know.

I dunno, but watching Olivia and her sister get all giggly over talking to boys in a bar was pretty cringeworthy.  Olivia telling the world that her sister buys the super sized box of condoms was ever so special, too.  The pair of them acting like tweens talking about how much touching was allowed and when was way too juvenile for me.

I was glad to see that Moriah is seemingly getting more clothing that fits her instead of wearing booty shorts with her cheeks hanging out.  Wonder how long it will last since Moriah seems to crave that sort of attention from the opposite sex.

I can forgive a lot with those two, based on how they were raised.  They never got to be teenagers.

I'll put $20 on it happening the next time a guy makes eye contact with her.

They're both well into their 20's and have been away from their strict upbringing for a number of years.  Both have been in long term relationships/marriages.  The statute of limitations on their upbringing has run out for me when it comes to stuff like this.  Seems to be semi-scripted and producer-driven and not real.  Olivia is really a terrible actress, IMO.

The bar was episode 3. No one has started a thread for it yet.

Notability, I agree. Olivia and her sister are wayyy cringy!

I think Olivia has way too much screen time. She wanted the divorce, get her off the show.

Now she wants her OWN show.

Olivia is for me the only redeeming thing about this shit show of a family. She married a man boy who could not grow with her. She is the only one on this show who has shown real growth IMO. Any changes from Mother of the Year are just Kim reverting back to who she was before she met Barry. Olivia has actually done the work in therapy and will have a beautiful life, I'm sure. So yes, I enjoy seeing her and seeing her progress in making a life away from her weirdo cult birth family and in law family. Whether she's on this show or her own I don't care.

I am confused as to why Ethan is so upset that Olivia wants to close this chapter of her life, and move on.

She's been wanting kids for awhile, and Ethan openly (and honestly) told her he didn't want kids with her as he questioned what her parenting style would be like. In fact, it sounded like he thought a repeat of his own childhood would be worthwhile.

Say what!? Yet NOW he's angry because she's moved on after 9 months of minimal contact. He's questioned why they aren't trying again...?

Does Ethan even reflect on some of the nonsense he says?

But I will commend Ethan for having Olivia's back about Kim taking his money. The siblings may not have liked the airing of dirty laundry, but Kim WAS mad that Olivia changed Ethan passwords, and still disses Olivia at every opportunity.

Yes, Olivia and Ethan eventually, were following different pursuits, however, the Plath family did not treat her with any respect (aside from Moriah initially) I'm still unsure what Micahs issue with her is?

For "Godly" people, the Plaths sure are manipulative and judgemental. (And God sanctions this bad behaviour...? Puhleese....!!)

Conveniently forgetting that Ethan said they were done, and that he wanted kids, but not with her, huh?

I appreciate seeing where she's at and what her future holds because she emotionally had nothing after she married Ethan.

To know your in-laws dislike you and feel you aren't Christian or good enough for their head-in-the-sand son is saf. But should she have stayed married just because Ethan doesn’t want to divorce? As soon as Ethan decided he didn't want children with her, she emotionally, then physically, checked out. 5 years is a long time to wait for your hubby to decide when to have kids, only to be told "not with you".

What? What do you mean they've both been in relationships? I understood they met at 17 married at 19, and at 25 Olivia is now single and (hopefully divorced). I've never heard they were formerly involved in relationships.

Their upbringing affected every adult decision they made as novices in their marriage and life. To see Ethans embarrassment about his homeschool education will always weigh on him. Olivia's family shunning her will forever affect her.

I feel bad equally for both of them. They are gradually realizing a lot of their fears re: the world were simply in place to stop them from wanting to explore.

I'd love for the kids to focus on making music together. Olivia could help them as well (once anger subsides).

Olivia was married to Ethan; that is a long term relationship.  On the show, Olivia said that her sister had been with her boyfriend for quite a while before they broke up; another long-term relationship.  When I said both had been in long-term relationships, it was in reference to Olivia and her sister's rather childish behavior when talking about their current status as singles.  Neither one was a rookie when it comes to male/female relationships but they talked about it like they were 12 and had never been kissed.

I was purely commenting on Olivia and her sister; Ethan's experiences had nothing to do with it.
