Nice seeing everyone again, currently checking everyone like Laurence Fishburne, et. al’s IMDB page to find out if they were “too busy” for a cameo, I have a lot of conflicting emotions about this finale but my main one is that if the main emotional beat of the finale is Zoey’s Romantic Arc, then they should’ve ended the series earlier to keep the focus on Zoey.  I am admittedly a Junior hater but his character got SCREWED  in the series finale of the show that was now ostensibly supposed to be about him!  Genuinely laughed at Luka  Sabbat’s FaceTime cameo like it was Julianna Marguiles and Archie Punjabi all over again.

I know Laurence Fishburne and Anthony Anderson are both producers on the show, but I suppose no one wanted to pay for them, or any other former Black-ish cast members, to come back for the finale.  That's a bit of a shame.

I managed to escape from watching any of Season 6 but for some reason I thought of it briefly this morning and was curious how it ended so thought I'd check it out.

The best part once again was seeing most of the original cast back.   Does the actor playing Luka have beef with someone from original cast?   He wasn't my fave character but it was weird seeing him on Zoom and his weak play for Zoe was laughable.

The plot with them magically having a boat to "party" on was over the top as usual.    But it was nice to see how it ended at least.

I was okay too with not seeing any of Zoe and Junior's extended family appearing in the finale.    It was a crowded finale as-is.   I'm out...finally.
