S01.E06: Ends Justify Means

Back at Inish Mac Tire, Dove and Emmy seek answers but get sidetracked by troubling visions — and revelations. Gilbert deals with a daunting dilemma.

My favorite episode so far.  I don't know why, but I've had a hard time really getting into this show.  It seems to plod along, but also I can't understand a good bit of the dialog due to the accents, so I have to keep cc on.

But finally, an episode where things moved forward and it went at a normal pace.  Loved Dov tripping out, loved the nuns, loved Gilbert trying to give Dov a chance to escape and getting pepper sprayed while everyone else just stood around.

I did not see Gilbert's wife's visit going the way it did.  That was a nice bit of character development for him.

I loved this show.  My parents were Irish immigrants so the accents were not a problem, in fact they were melodic to me. There's nothing better than a quirky, wry, convoluted slow burn of a plot, and Bodkin delivered.

Did I miss where Fiona said Seamus was the father?   Hah Seamus is going to be both loving and hating Sean as a son.
