Rostov playing Book of the Month Club with Osip is hilarious... What is the Russian word for Cliff Notes?

Enemy At The Gates was about defending Stalingrad... but seeing the two boys leave together reminded me of a movie scene where each pair of soldiers has to share a single rifle and an extra ammo clip...and would be executed if they retreated...

I am enjoying the series thoroughly.  Ewan will use any opportunity to take off his clothes.  I really didn't need to see a close-up of his feet.  It was not a pretty picture.  

But it was a very funny scene.

I don’t understand the favor of Anna and her asking the favor of the culture minister. Was it just to sit there to witness to silently pressure Halecki?
