They basically gave away who killed Reena. We just don’t know why yet. The back story about the other characters remains interesting enough to keep watching.
I’m going to have to read the book about this murder since it was based on truth.

I can't imagine the difficulty of trying to raise good kids among peers who glorify violence, gangs, the mafia, etc.   It's so repugnant.  And stupid.

The drip-drip-drip pace of this series is annoying.  I like it a lot, but I want to watch it at my leisure, not Hulu's.

A compelling performance by Archie Panjabi. 👏🏻

Those scenes at the morgue are heartbreaking - Suman bursting into tears and the ME detailing every aspects of Reena’s injuries. Even the sound of rustling cloth feels unsettling.

Chief Roy Bentland is such a d!ck. Manjit’s inability and lack of strength to identify Reena’s body shouldn’t make him a suspect. He’s kind enough to even invite those delinquents to his house when Suman won’t.

Reena’s official COD is drowning. But she would have died from her injuries sustained in the second attack. Those injuries are consistent with car crash victims. No indication of sexual trauma.

The discovery of Reena’s Steve Madden boots in Kelly’s closet has opened up a whole new can of worms.  Why keeps a pair of boots from a dead girl? Was Kelly the one who put a cigarette bindi on Reena’s forehead?

Warren is acting suspicious too - the whispering with Kelly, his bloodied pants and the 187 song. But who’s the main culprit between these two? Warren getting beat up by a local teen gang for indoctrination is a disturbing echo to what happens with Reena.

So, Cam and Rebecca were lovers but Rebecca ran to New York and ghosted her. Things between these two are complicated.

I knew from the minute Rebecca saw Cam at the police dept they were lovers.  Is that part of the real story or added for DEI?  I mean years ago I would never assume they were lovers at first glance but now I’m conditioned to think everyone is gay in tv and movies because they usually are.

I am intrigued by the show.  I haven’t watched Killers of the Flower Moon but I think Lily Gladstone is very good.

Cam is a fictional character.

That being said, I hope we get a little more of her backstory. She mentioned spending time in the foster home; I'm assuming that's after she was adopted by the white police chief's family, but I don't know for sure.

A bit of trivia, the actor who plays Raj (the uncle) is Anoop Desai, who also played the djinn on What We Do In The Shadows, and was a Top Ten finalist in America Idol circa 2009.

I like it. All the criticisms I'm seeing in reviews don't bother me. I like the character development and pace so far.

I'm not bothered by the dramatizations and differences from the actual true story. I hope it continues to capture my attention throughout because I'm really looking forward to each episode and I haven't felt that way about a series in a while.

I love Lily Gladstone. I was heartbroken she didn't win the Oscar for Killers of the Flower Moon. I hope she has more chances for that kind of recognition in the future. She deserves it.

I am really glad they didn't go realistic with Reena's dead body...cause this would  be an incredibly hard thing to see. On the other hand, I can't even imagine what her parents (or whoever had to ID her) went through in real life... Her body was in the water for 8 days plus all the injuries, the burns... Geez...

I still cannot stand of Rebecca's character. She is the only thing I dislike in the show so far. Is it the actress? Is it the writing? I dunno, but for me she is the weakest link.

One other thing that slightly annoys me is how incompetent and narrowminded they show the police, using fictional scenes. They try to insert today's issues in a real case happened 30 years ago or so. Not that there wasn't any sexism and racism back then, but they really overdo it. Maybe its in the book, still it seems like this whole thing does not belong in the story.

I like this show so far, or at least I find it compelling, its rough to watch. The obsession the kids have with gangs and the mob is both disturbing and cringe, especially now that things have escalated to murder.

We all spent so much time being creeped out by Josephine we almost forgot to be creeped out by Kelly.

Its great to see Lily Gladstone on my TV.

I just started it and I’m so glad I waited! Now I can watch 3 eps in one night, lol.

Weird, I feel the same way about the massive amount of heterosexual characters in tv and film. . .

There was actually more sexism and racism then, so it seems pretty realistic to me. I am the same age as rhe Rebecca character, and actually worked as a professional social worker/counselor in 1997 with teen girls and it mostly rings true.

The show tried to pin it all on racism.   But I have this theory that racism was not the primary motivating factor in Reena's death.   IMO, it was lookism.   No one can convince me that if Reena had been a very pretty Indian girl she would have been killed just the same.

Yes, I agree, amongst other reasons. It’s just so sad and brutal and unnecessary.
