Yeah sorry - mistyped it. Fixed it now.

Thursday Sept 25
New York Giants @ Washington Redskins    Giants, Cousins is just not that good and Eli and his offense finally remember the season started.

Sunday, Sept 28th
Carolina Panthers  @ Baltimore Ravens   Ravens, they just keep going no matter what fresh hell is revealed.
Green Bay Packers  @ Chicago Bears   Da Bear.   The Packers are in disarray.
Buffalo Bills  @ Houston Texans    hmmmmmmm, tough one.   Both kinda fell apart last week.   Bills.
Tennessee Titans  @ Indianapolis Colts    Colts
Detroit Lions  @ New York Jets    Lions
Miami Dolphins  @ Oakland Raiders   hahahahahahahahahahahaha.   Really I gotta pick one?   I am sure the League is THRILLED they scheduled this one for London.   Let's see Dolphins can't name a starter and Raiders don't travel well.   But I trust David Carr more than I trust whoever is the back up to Tannehill.  Raiders
Tampa Bay Buccaneers  @ Pittsburgh Steelers   Steelers
Jacksonville Jaguars  @ San Diego Chargers   bwahahahahahahaha,  Chargers.
Atlanta Falcons  @ Minnesota Vikings    Oh man these are some funny games this week.   Falcons
Philadelphia Eagles  @ San Francisco 49ers    Oy.   Eagles are starting to show cracks, 49ers are cracked.   Who is more cracked up?  (me clearly).   49ers just because Ise hates the Eagles.
New Orleans Saints  @ Dallas Cowboys   No website (true story, they forgot to renew the domain registration once and lost control of Dallascowboys.com)   Saints

Monday September 29th
New England Patriots @ Kansas City Chiefs  worst to first to worst for the Chiefs to Pats.

Hey merylinkid, can you do me a favour - go in and also bold your picks. It just makes it easier for me when I'm adding up scores.

I don't want to edit it for you, lest you think I'm being sneaky and possibly changing a pick to maybe - ahem - the Cowboys!!

Thanks! *grin*

And your commentary is hilarious, but NO, no one can hate the Eagles. And the Cowboys are the enemy of the Eagles, so you have to love the birds!!

Must Love Birds.

You misunderstand me.   I am actually a Cowboys fan.   Have been since I was a kid Merylinkid.   I just accept that they suck.   It makes life easier.

Ah, so that's why you hate the Eagles!! Damn rivals! Honestly, the Cowboys wouldn't suck so much if Jerry would keep his oil-stained hands away from the GM job. Step back, Jerry, step back. They maybe the 'Boys could assemble a front line that would allow Romo to do this thing.

Thanks for bolding!

No problem.   Will remember in the future too (well, I'll try).

Jones was just complaining that Claiborne turned out not to be the player they thought he would be.   Yeah and what GM traded up to get him?   He should be fired.

Not a problem, King of Birds, and everyone else, just as long as the picks are finalized by 8:00 pm Thursday.

Problem for me is that I'll change something because I second guess myself, and of course shouldn't have changed it in the first place. Ugh.

I actually just like the Washington Skins.   Because that is what it gets shortened ot anyway.   They can get the same uniform maker as that one women's cycling team and get uniforms that make them look like chests with well-defined pecs, etc.    Then they will always be the Skins and the teams they are playing the "shirts."

The Bills & Texans is hard to pick- it could be either one. Seeing Fitzpatrick play against his old team will be good. He'll wanna win bad- which may be a distraction.

The Raiders have yet to win- this may be the week they get their first. They're at home too.

Eagles & 49ers was hard to pick too. If the 49ers lose this one, they're in trouble.

Oh & GO STEELERS!!!

anarchyangel84, the more the merrier! Hey, all it takes is one bad week for the lot of us, and a good one for you to catch up. You never know.

Also, when the playoffs/Superbowl hits, there is a good chance there too to catch up. Welcome!

May the Washington Taters FRY the New York Giants tonight!!! (God, that was terrible)

WINGSTER55 - where are you, man? Game starts around 8:30 pm today - you've got till then to get some picks in!!!!

ETA: (timestamp 10:36 pm): Let me rephrase that - Hey Washington, try not to FRY yourself...My god, what a mess.

ETA: (timestamp 10:59 pm): *checks what EllieH picked* - Ah, the Giants to win. Should have known. *sigh*

ETA: (timestamp 11:45 pm): Well, that really sucked...

Week one I rooted against my Panthers and they won! I decided I never will root against them again. Now, they start losing every game! Granted, game is not over yet but it's not looking too good. Maybe I should start rooting against them again so they will win again! Also, I have a superstition that when I wear my Panther shirt they lose, guess I should start wearing it off days again......

So far it looks like I'm at half and half for my picks which is actually good for me. I'm no good at this!

Oh no, not everyone sucked this week. MOST of us sucked big time. Popples did the best (so far). King of Birds, AimingforYoko and P2C2E trail Popples by only one point. merylinkid, we both did lousy.

P2C2E was the only person to pick the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - good job!. And King of Birds and AimingforYoko were the only two to pick the Cowboys - again, good job and what on earth was that final score?? What a week.

For the future record, there are only two teams now who are undefeated --> The Cinncinati Bengals (what?) and the Arizona Cardinals. But they both has their bye weeks this week.

What a shit week of football. I'm not great at picking but I'm usually a little better than this. I think I got 5 right.

• The Bills won their first 2 games- now they're in Suckyville so now Manuel gets benched. We'll see how that works.

• Here's a SHOCKER- Raiders fire head coach Dennis Allen. I think it's because more points were scored at Wembley in 4 soccer games than the Raiders scored in 4 football games. Ok maybe I exaggerated just a little.

• The one that broke my heart- my Steelers. I know our Defense was old and they needed to get some younger guys in there but I think they got young confused with good. Especially in the secondary. I'm a 30 yr old female smoker & I doubt they could cover me. Then they give the worst of 'me all- Cortez Allen- a contract with a pile of money. Why? The other team should be paying him, he's doing more for them than for us. Polamalu hasn't been the same since he hurt his knee- he's just trying too hard now and we shoulda never got rid of Ryan Clark. Dick LeBeau prolly wishes he woulda retired. I feel bad for him. Ugh- off to Jacksonville this week. Yinz may as well pick the Jags. I can't, I gotta go with my guys. I'm done ranting. Till next week anyway.

Even though I picked New England to win, I LOVED seeing them get absolutely smashed last night. I'll never be upset getting that pick wrong. It even helped take some of the sting away from the Steelers losing.

Week 4 has come and gone and was littered with a ton of upsets! KC beats the Patriots 41-14! The heck? Yes!

The highest score this week was earned by P2C2E and Popples, who both got 9 out of 13 picks right! Good job!

EllieH still is on top of the leaderboard with 29 points, but King of Birds, Popples, ebk57 and AimingforYoko are only two points behind.

I've already forgotten the posters' name, from the NFL thread, who wrote about how boring the prime-time games have been - but I totally agree. I didn't even watch last night's game. (plus I'm avoiding all things espn)

The Texans @ Cowboys game is a toss up. They're both 3-1 & the Texans beat the Redskins, Raiders, Bills and lost to the Giants. Cowboys beat the Titans, Rams, Saints and lost to the 49ers. Whaddooya do?

Then there's the Falcons @ Giants. Both 2-2. Eeney meeney miney mo. Catch an..... Eli? by his throw. If he fumbles let him go? That was bad. But I think I'm funny, & that's what counts.

The hardest for me is the Cardinals @ Broncos game... Both coming off byes. Both are playing well. Hmmm... I think I'll go with the home team- After this week I predict there will be no more undefeated teams.
