Dowel Jones April 6, 2023 Share April 6, 2023 We didn't get to hear any of the rewritten obituary, although the theme of the episode was clear. Those are sometimes the best moments. 3 Link to comment
possibilities April 6, 2023 Share April 6, 2023 I liked this one. I liked that they made it clear what it costs to be in the closet, whether about your sexuality or other aspects of who you are. I thought that was really well done. There are costs to being out about who you are-- it's vulnerable. People might reject you. Especially when you are used to being rejected, it can be hard to persist in showing yourself. And Edward discovered things about his girlfriend that burst his bubble a bit; as much as he was a worried about her rejecting him, he also found out that there were things he didn't like about her. But it just doesn't work to be hiding, either. I thought they did a really good job of showing the reasons why Edward was hiding, as well as the costs of doing it. The scene where he tellls Nell he's tired of being alone-- that was a really touching moment, when his voice broke. And Nell was not so annoying this time. I think the story worked better because she wasn't the one it focused on. She's the hardest character to like, most weeks. This week, she came across in pretty good shape, despite her dimwittedness about the painful aspects of her obituary subject's story. She got it immediately when told, so I also lked how well that moment was handled. 6 Link to comment
Harvey April 7, 2023 Share April 7, 2023 I liked that for once, Neil was actually getting along with her ghost (without some underlying sexual tension going on). 2 Link to comment
nilyank April 8, 2023 Share April 8, 2023 Omigod, I was only until this episode that I realize that Lexi is played by Lauren Ashe (from Superstore). The blonde hair really threw me. She looks great and she has always been funny. 3 Link to comment
bros402 April 10, 2023 Share April 10, 2023 I liked that she and the ghost got along and that she was sort of in the background. The plots were handled well. The show has definitely hit its stride. 2 Link to comment

ItCouldBeWorse April 20, 2023 Share April 20, 2023 (edited) Also, your electricity doesn't get cut off because you miss 1 month. And there would be multiple warnings in the regular mail, probably addressed to Edward, as the lease and the utilities are likely in his name. Unless Nell has been hiding the late notices and termination notice from him, he would know that the bill hadn't been paid for months. And why wouldn't oat milk spoil? Unless it's an unopened shelf stable container, of course it would. Edited April 20, 2023 by ItCouldBeWorse 1 Link to comment
possibilities April 20, 2023 Share April 20, 2023 I would not put it past Nell to be hiding the bills. If it was her job to pay them, I can easily see her intercepting them when they arrive, and then not dealing with them. I can also imagine Edward assuming that she was paying them because he's the sort of person who lives by the agreements, and would not let something like that go. He's a lawyer, right? And a stickler by trade! 1 Link to comment

possibilities April 20, 2023 Share April 20, 2023 Eh-- I'm a stickler, and when I delegate, I assume the person is going to behave responsibly. You can't be doing everybody's job, and responsible adults often assume other adults are also responsible. Just like people who don't lie assume others are also truthful, and liars don't trust anybody. 2 Link to comment
Avabelle November 6, 2023 Share November 6, 2023 I saw real chemistry between Nell and Edward in this episode. I’d be rooting for them if they decide to go there. Link to comment

I like them as friends and I'm so sick and tired of every tv show having a male and a female colleague or roommate who start off as friends ending up as a couple - men and women can be friends, there's no need for writers to pair everyone up. Also, I'm totally shipping Edward with that guy (whose name I've forgotten) that Nell went on a date with; tthere were definite sparks when he and Edward met. 3 Link to comment
