Not really an interesting episode. ASA Nina Chapman isn't really a compelling character.

For the 200th episode next week, hopefully this show will bring us something memorable.

The Cage triggers so many memories...

I still miss Al. Killing him is the biggest mistake ever!

Quote

CHAPMAN: "Before we met, I heard all these stories about you. He's dirty. He's cruel. But you're decent."

VOIGHT: "Some of those stories are true."

CHAPMAN: "Are you still that man?"

VOIGHT: "I don't know. I don't think about it."

Well it was nice to see other characters getting more screen time & to get away from the miserable mopey deserted wife storyline. Vupton is as boring as Upstead was.

Torres is great undercover but I do worry that's all they are using him for. I guess Atwater has passed the mantle to Torres now, because for a long time that's all Kev was used for. I enjoyed the bar scene however & it looked like Paddy & Ben enjoyed filming that one.

A bit of a plodding episode which seemed a tick the box Voight episode that didn't do much for the overall arc of the season. While the teamwork was better there was no link to any other story or character that was meaningful & that's a huge problem with this show, the lack of continuity is maddening.

Even Mopey seemed completely fine after the end of last episode when she found out that Dopey really doesn't want to come back to her. While I don't care, from a storytelling POV it's where this show has real flaws.

Oh well, file this one as meh and move on..... Can't wait for next week.

It was confusing. Pictures of people we, the audience, have no idea about up on the Murder Board and a twisty story made it hard to follow who's who, and why things went down how they did. Chapman was OK, and I was kind of intrigued with the 'why' of her dalliance with her witness. Are they trying to get something going between her and Voight? They didn't have much of a spark but two deeply flawed characters could become an interesting pairing if they're written intelligently. Then again, when is anything written intelligently on this show.
