TheOtherOne February 14, 2023 Share February 14, 2023 The case was really obvious way too early, but still not a terrible episode, mostly because none of the characters were really annoying this week. Was that the first time? Amazing! With only three episodes left, glad we're getting some movement on the Keith story, so there might actually be some resolution, since this show looks unlikely to get renewed. Terrible Sidney finally came clean! 4 Link to comment
Madding crowd February 14, 2023 Share February 14, 2023 Can they really identify someone in five minutes by hearing their voice? How would they have these voices in a database? They do some amazing stuff on this show. And I don’t believe the police department would easily have $5,000 to reimburse for the voice ID. 4 Link to comment

Speaking of the police dept; have we ever seen a "real" cop or detective on this show? Since when are the "missing persons" cops allowed to investigate murders? 2 Link to comment

Terrible Sidney finally came clean! I agree on the lack of annoying characters! And the scene with Shannon and the sister's boyfriend in the car felt pretty tense. Did she really think he wouldn't figure it out? Yes, they look the same, but I doubt they kiss the same, for example. Is that skull supposed to be Keith? I didn't see the first couple episodes (and doesn't sound like they're worth watching!). Curious as to what will happen next week and in the finale with that. This show really had potential, and I was excited when I found it because I used to love Without a Trace. But this is nowhere near that level. Annoying characters, some bad acting, bad writing... Ah well--maybe someone will make a better missing persons show. 3 Link to comment

Honestly, after how Kemi was able to deduce where a victim was by looking at the angle of the sun hitting the window, or whatever the hell she did in episode two, I am just expecting very unrealistic and convoluted solutions on this show. So finding someone through voice recognition in two seconds is on par for this show. I’m glad Sidney came clean but I have so many issues with this dumb storyline. I mentioned it early on why Sidney killing her brother would be the worst storyline for this show, which is why I didn’t (and still don’t) think it is something they will stick with. First off, we are led to believe that Sidney is some psychopathic kid, who drowned her brother at the age of twelve, and never said anything for six years or didn’t react much to it. Or, if she did, nobody in her life noticed or chalked it up to weird grief. It does make her look terrible because she never spoke up, for sure. Even though she’s barely 18, it makes her look really bad. But I also still expect that it’s going to be a twist to make her not a murderer, which means this plot is pointless, all to ruin a character who we’re supposed to both feel bad for and not supposed to like. That being said, we are also stuck with this weird Keith arc, where either the twist is that he’s the real Keith and Sidney is wrong or he’s Keith’s twin or something and he’s doing something just as bad as Sidney by lying and manipulating a poor family into believing that he’s their son. Though, with this whole twin storyline this episode, are they foreshadowing or making it clear they aren’t going the twin route? So now the only two teenagers on the show are being presented as sociopaths with lying about really big things. And I do think they’re gonna make both teens sympathetic somehow but it probably won’t be done well. Sidney probably didn’t kill her brother or some random kid. It’s probably some dumb cliffhanger that will lead to Sidney getting in a fight with Keith that led him to run away and she ran after him, only to see him, or some other kid, drown. And they’ll blame Keith, or Fake Keith, lying to his family as trauma (which, to be fair, he should be more traumatized than he is acting and people should note how easily he is able to interact with people after being kidnapped for six years. I know people react differently to trauma, but come on, he’s been acting like he just went to summer camp besides the last episode) and he was manipulated to lie or something. As for the rest of the episode, the case was predictable. C’s drama was….confusing. I probably tuned it out because I didn’t catch why he stuck his head in a sink and why he stood his crush up. Nor do I really care, to be honest. Mike, no, you don’t reward Jason walking into the house constantly with the location of the key. He’s just gonna keep walking in unannounced. This show really has a lot of issues. I’m just hoping that maybe the Keith reveal is not predictable. 1 Link to comment
MarylandGirl February 17, 2023 Share February 17, 2023 Yes, I suspect that she didn't literally kill him. But that some action she took, like fighting with him, ultimately led to his death. So she feels guilt about it. Otherwise, how will they drag this out over 3 episodes? Or maybe she *thinks* she led to his death, but somehow, this Keith is the real Keith after all? And back to this episode, I agree that it was dumb to reveal the location of the key. I wouldn't want *anyone* to just be able to come into my how, let alone my fiance's ex. 4 Link to comment

They didn't notice he was in the water until it was too late. I've developed an irrational dislike of the cop/mother. And yes, I don't expect this to be renewed for another season. If The Family, the 2016 version of this same premise, didn't get a 2nd season this won't either. 2 Link to comment

Or maybe she *thinks* she led to his death, but somehow, this Keith is the real Keith after all? That's exactly what I believe, because I REALLY can't imagine they follow through with, again, a kid killing another kid hands-on. If they do, I would be genuinely surprised. Plus, since we know her friend was with her when Keith drowned...what, all three of them were out on the water, then? No, that doesn't really make sense to me. Hence, why I think it's guilt, but not because she physically killed her brother, but her brother ended up in the water because of her somehow (which is why I initially thought a fight that led him running off, or I guess it could be as simple as Sidney not watching Keith and he ended up in the water anyway). Since this show is so terrible, I was hoping for maybe a more fun reveal, but it looks like they're going to have a very bland and somewhat predictable end. It probably IS the real Keith (to absolve Sidney of her guilt and it's some other kid in the water that drowned before or after that incident), especially given the contents of this episode being around twins and one thought to be dead but isn't. I don't think they'd have the same plot in a short time span of a couple of episodes. 2 Link to comment
