I think she buys the clothes from cheap manufacturers and then resells them at a huge markup. Like her Bougie makeup line, which is custom from Ali Express. Add your logo and resell. Probably what Miona does with her makeup brushes and ponytails. Slaps her brand on them and laugh the way to the bank. Doubt anything original is going on with those two.

Yep, and they do not even change the pictures

I found it odd too when they had come back from their honeymoon Jenny made a remark that Sumit had unpacked all of his luggage and Sumit said he would have unpacked hers but didn't know where she wanted her things.

So far, it seems most of her things are on a metal clothes rack in the bedroom. But, when I come home from a trip, the majority of what I unpack goes directly into the laundry.

So Sumit has to do the cooking, work at the restaurant, do the grocery shopping,  and be a full time entertainer for Jenny in case she gets bored.

Oh...anything similar to what STILL seems to be expected of an American working wife and mother?  Let's not forget cleaning and laundry.  At a minimum.

I'm getting tired of her with all her digs at the US - most recently, something about drinking swamp water back in NO. Girl, shut it

I'm tired of her, too. Especially since she was posting on IG all the time of where she and Jovi are traveling to in the US. Vegas, NYC, California and more. I don't know what's happening with them now but she had/has a great life here. STFU, bish.

That said, I have heard from people that have been there that Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. My SIL has been all over Europe and it's her favorite place. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to buy a place and rent it as an air bnb as another poster said and then Yara can visit her mom several times a year when Jovi is away from home working. It's her cold delivery that is so off putting. Acting as if she wants to start a new life without Jovi.

I'm not sure about Jenny. Sumit seems pretty cool and easy-going. Jenny seems very low key and maybe having a midlife crisis? It seems from her bio she always worked low-skilled low-paying jobs and now lives off her social security checks. She's a dumpy dump.

Angela and Mykull should be meeting at a public place. She is tired of him, she thinks now he is a scammer (since she has another guy), she won’t let him keep his Instagram page, he is not allowed to work, etc. etc. Very few people would put up with this nonsense. The long con is running out of steam. Kept him strung along and her punching bag. I would think that they are over, at least until the next part of the script.

So Libby and Andreii are having another baby. Oops, she already had her baby and it has been in the press so it is public knowledge. She knows perfectly well to wait at least 12 weeks to announce to friends and her family. Ellie could care less right now.

Liz is giving Ed his 10th chance. Both need individual counseling too, and maybe a marriage prep class so they learn how to communicate, given that both are insecure, needy, codependent messes. I guess the blanket at the session was supposed to represent safety and security.

Jenny, surely there is something for you to do in India. Find the Embassy, see if there are any ex-Pat groups around, get some hobbies, take some courses. Sumit is 33. He wants to have a life and make some money and do something. He is not your entire universe and you don’t want to suffocate someone. He is allowed to have friends and that you are not always going to be included. All you can cook is mashed potatoes? You have been living there for three years and cannot make a simple dish? Sumit has to do everything for you. He will grow to resent you and you may find yourself home.

Kimbaaly, cut the cord and go back home. Usman is using for for a green card. His entire family does not think you are a suitable mate. Granted, we have no idea if they have ever spoken to him about why he is single at his age, does he like men too, is he just using you, or what. Mr. Superstar should have his pick of girls. They only sort of tolerate you because you have been in the military and have an African American son.

So Yara, you order the champagne for breakfast and of course Jovi drinks it and you are not cool about it. He probably does have a drinking problem, if not being an alcoholic. The two of you probably have talked the dream of having a European base. And you blindside him to tell him you will be apartment hunting with your mom. You two are staying in a 5 star hotel. Given that you do not work full time except for ‘influencing’ and the side hustle of selling clothes and makeup, did you think of maybe finding a reputable realtor in Prague? Did you look into buying property as a foreign buyer? Do EU citizens get a break? How much money do you have? Some places can easily be 500,000 Euros and up. Do you need to get an international mortgage? How does it affect your Green Card? You and Jovi may need to talk to a real estate lawyer or accountant about things like capital gains, US taxes, foreign taxes - yeah, you have to pay those too. That takes a little time and legwork and maybe finding a place will be more viable on your next visit. It is not something you do on a whim. If I was Jovi, the red flag of you dumping me would be waving. You seem checked out. Slamming your new country was not cool either. The coffee is better here. The vibe is better here. We get it, you don’t like New Orleans. You do not seem grateful and appreciative for your life of semi luxury and wearing high end brands. Your selfish, spoiled, entitled attitude needs an adjustment. But next week, maybe you will think Budapest or maybe Istanbul might be better. Spend a couple of months renting a place first to see what life is like each day - and not in your fancy hotel. It is probably scripted but her actions angered me. Maybe they do need some drama and this is it.

Interesting. So she finds cheap clothes and sells them under her own "brand." Is that even legal?

Kim could have tried to smile and look approachable during the family meeting  instead of looking stern and angry. Her face always looks horribly bitter. She broke out into a smile only after the family seemed to like the picture of her son and the fact that she was in the military. How about trying to just be pleasant before you get your way? Next week there is going to be another cry-fest and I hope this one holds. You know that this relationship will never work out with the multiple wives anyway.

Poor Michael. How he wants that green card. Angela, darling, no man wants you. Look at yourself. Why don't you see yourself as you really are? I'm talking about your personality. Michael will do anything for that green card; the guy must have unbelievable strength to put up with this horrific human being. All that massive anger within her all coming out on Michael's head. Has anyone ever stood up for themselves against this belligerent woman?

Wasn't it Angela raging at someone who tried to stand up to her during one of the tell-alls?  I'm old and my memory is bad.  Lol.

"Horrific human being"  yes.  When I was watching the show that phrase from "As Good As it Gets" kept running through my mind whenever Angela started ranting and raving:  "You absolute horror of a human being".

Yes, backstage at the Tell All, she got into a shouting match with Avery after Avery questioned why Jesse was there. Rebecca tried to come to Avery's aid and Angela got very aggressive, in her face, and cussed her out, too. Finally, Angela was escorted outside for a cigarette and to calm down. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast refused to appear with her again, so Angela stormed out of the building.

This reminded me of a pre-pandemic  border phenomenon, "Pirate Joe's", in Vancouver Canada.

The owner would cross the border into WA, stock up on Trader Joe's products and bring them back to Canada, where he sold them - at a mark up - from a small storefront under the name of Pirate Joe's.

He maintained that his store was legal under the US concept of "first sale doctrine", but couldn't afford a drawn-out court battle, and closed the store after five years.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I felt for Angela last night.  Instead of standing up to her or even just breaking up (the best option), he has sex with her to "butter her up" before the IG conversation.  I'd feel used, too.  With that being said, they're acting like eighth graders over social media.  Bottom line: if you don't trust someone, can't let them out of your sight (even from Georgia apparently), then you have no healthy relationship,  much less a marriage.

Oh, Jenny.  Sumit is 33 years old.  The man has to work, have friends, you know, things normal people do.  He is not going to spend your marriage staring at you, only being with you.  "Let there be space in your togetherness".  I'm almost Jenny's age, and she is the exact opposite of what I want my sixties and beyond to be like.  All these years and she's afraid of the market?  She hasn't met one expat friend, nor learned a word of Hindi?  I get the feeling her life in America was similarly stunted.  I'd say she acts eighty rather than sixty, but I don't like that comparison as I know eighty year olds with fuller lives than Jenny.  They go to the market and make fabulous food, too!  Mashed potatoes?  What did she eat in America?

I too would be for Jovi and Yara to get a place in Europe, after all the legalities mentioned above were met, of course.  It's not that simple, just plunking down lots and lots of euros for a pad.  It's still not a terrible idea.  What's terrible is Yara's growing coldness towards Jovi, the U.S., and their marriage.  Terrible is just slamming Jovi upside the head with the news "I'm looking for an apartment here".   Previews show her saying she's been miserable for 2.5 years?  If Jovi lets her go, she takes her daughter to Europe and Jovi is an absent dad.  He's a dad with a drinking problem, too., as no one in their lives brings up.

Oh,, Kim.  Are you seriously thinking that you'll take Usman back to America and his other wife (ves) and children will be in Nigeria?  Do you really believe that even if you're #1, your jealousy won't grow like a fungus every time you know he's got private time with her?  Do you really not understand how ridiculous this is?  In those robes, you look like E.T. gone wrong.  And like E.T., time to go home.

The rest I have no need to waste words on.  Oh, and even though we were spared for one week, fuck you, Bilal.

Oh yes, you're right,  but I think most people would eventually back-off when they saw how off-the-rails Angela could get. She'd be off the Richter scale - most people don't have that much anger in them to be able to lash out, long and hard until their prey was defeated. As I mentioned recently, Kulani, in Pillow Talk said, "I love you Angela, but . . . " ------- translation: I fear you. Big time.  In case they ever meet again, she wants to be on her good side. No one can love Angela. You can't love a stick of dynamite.

I remember that line now in As Good as it Gets - I loved that movie, especially Greg Kinnear. Thanks for that memory!

For the money Jenny spent at the market she could have bought a whole shit load of street food and have some rupees left over and told Sumit she has dinner ready. Dumb chicken.

Regardless if Kim was in the military or not. They suck together.

I will never understand why these women go get these guys from overseas. Never.

I shudder to think of Kim in the Army with a weapon, but from the way she bosses Usman around ("Here, hold my hand!" "Sit down!" "Don't tell me what to do" “You’re not doing it right,” etc.) I can certainly imagine her as an intimidating Drill Sergeant barking orders at new recruits.

I can see meeting someone during my travels or if I was taking or auditing courses at a French or Italian university or cooking class and we kept in touch. I would be wary of someone from say, Africa, and wonder if I was being scammed. But that is me.

Yes I like that she stood her ground too.  If she would have stayed and haggled she probably could have gotten a pretty good deal though.  But to do that she would need to know more of the language.  As it was she overpaid because she didn't know what 300 was.  She just guesstimated the price and overpaid.

Yes you're right too.  My example was meant to show that it never ends well even if someone does try to stand up to Angela.

The nice thing about "As Good as it Gets" was that we get to see an underlying humanity in the Jack Nicholson character.  He eventually becomes a supportive presence for the Greg Kinnear character.  That's something that doesn't come through for me with Angela (the little slice of her that's shown on the show).

My first impulse was to come to Michael's defense somehow, but then as I was thinking about it.  I just can't with either one of them.  Michael did tell Angela that he would take down his IG account before they had sex (so that they would have sex).  That's reprehensible in my opinion.  And Angela the raging, destructive maniac (but she's a fighter she's going to stand up for herself by kicking every table in the place if she needs to) makes it next to impossible for Michael to talk to.  Her reaction when Michael told her she was being selfish was very telling.  That expression of surprise and I think she said something like "Oh I'm the one being selfish?"  He will never get through to her.  She seems to have little to no insight about her behavior.  And to put up with that yes I agree Michael really really wants that green card.

Angela will not listen to Michael but it seems like what he was saying was that because Angela doesn’t want him to work a regular job (originally I thought it was so he could answer her calls immediately but maybe later it was she didn’t want him around women) he was depending on her to send him sufficient money.  The money is apparently insufficient, either because she cut back the amount or because she sends him only enough for him but in his culture a man in his 30s is supposed to help other family members.  So apparently he has been trying to make money on IG (influencer?) which allows him to be at home like she wants and supplements the money that she sends him.  So while she thinks he has IG just to flirt with female fans, if he is telling the truth he is doing it out of economic necessity.  If it’s the latter, then she is being unreasonable asking him to take it down unless she is willing to send more money.  Maybe he could share the password with her so she could ensure he isn’t talking to women but he could still conduct business.  (I know in a healthy relationship that shouldn’t be necessary but I am trying to work within the given constraints.)

You're right, my bad! I just can't imagine a woman in her 60s who raised a family still doesn't know how to cook a meal. I remember back when she was Sumit's "American friend" and first visited him at his parents' house-before she deflowered him-his mother was teaching Jenny how to cook Indian food.

Sumit's know-it-all bossy mother has help with cleaning--probably cooking.  Since Sumit considers that a way of life, now that he's working, perhaps he can spring for some HELP for Jenny.  If only once a week, it should be someone who would be a friend, a helper, but ALSO someone who can instruct her in basic Indian cooking.  It shouldn't cost much.

I typically think Jovi is a skeezy frat boy d-bag, but in this episode, I was team Jovi. Yara doesn't seem to understand that even if she earns money to contribute to the household, it is THEIR household and it isn't just about her and what she wants, etc. She signed up to marry an American. Perhaps when they were dating they tossed the idea around about living somewhere in Europe since his job is what it is---but then they had a baby. That complicates shit. Much harder to be a nomad when you have a young child. I understand her missing her family and friends, but she either needs to find a compromise or just divorce Jovi. She really seems very checked out of her marriage. And her shock and disgust about champagne in the morning felt fake AF too---as if she doesn't throw back mimosas when she is out at brunch with her she-beast friends in NOLA. Her mother's insistence that she would care for the baby whenever her daughter wants fell a little flat on me---I think once she was actually caring for a toddler 24/7 while her daughter parties and searches for a new sugar daddy it will get old really fast. Her mom did not look as young and vibrant as Miss Gwen. Again, she lives in her own little world. Jovi should let her go, but insist she take the baby and only live off HER money (besides support for the baby, not alimony) and see how far she gets.

I think MAYBE if Michael explained to Angie that it makes him feel like less of a man to not bring in SOME income to help the family she would possibly relent. I did feel bad for her because it was NOT right that he lied just to get her to have sex. And his mentioning the damage to the car at that moment would have pissed me off too. She created this mess however because she insisted he quit his job so that he wasn't tempted to cheat and agreed to financially support him. And now when he says the money isn't enough, she bitches that he is only with her for financial support and complains about sending $$.

TLC, please just stop with Usman and Kim. If this is not 100% staged then she is dumber than a box of rocks to think she will get her way in this multiple wife situation.

She explained.  Like a lot of America's single lower-income working moms, she probably didn't have "top"cooking skills or the time and energy to try.  She mentioned a product that had to be Hamburger Helper.  She mentioned frozen pizzas and hamburgers.  I imagine there are many American families who are subsisting well on meals like this...and now, more fast foods than ever before.  I've been "incapcitated" for two months, not concerned about meals at all.  Used up all my Costco stash and frozen stuff.  I'm going to have to (unhappily) rethink meal-planning and shopping.  I'd skip Hamburger Helper (waste of money and packaging), but all of the above sounds just fine to me.

If she earns enough to buy her own apartment in another country she should be paying him alimony.

Not so funny story, I dated a woman for a while before meeting my wife who was CEO of some company & she was earning in the region of $550k a year who had to pay her ex husband $10,000 a month despite the fact that he cheated on her with his 18 year old secretary. I'm old fashioned & the fact that he had a job good enough to have his own secretary & still sue her for alimony blew my mind, I didn't even like her wanting to pay for dinner & I was earning about 10% of what she was.

If that was really the issue?  Angela seems like Ed in a way to me.  In that scene where Ed was grilling Liz about being a lesbian and having had relationships with women that she was not telling him about Ed would not believe Liz when she was telling him nothing like that ever happened.  Ed has this insecure feeling that he falsely ascribes to Liz hiding something from him and no matter what she says Ed won't listen because his feeling of insecurity is still there.  So the issue is Ed's insecurity.  In the same way Angela feels like Michael is scamming her (only in it for the green card) and so she lashes out not because of what Michael says/does etc but because of how she feels.  Again the issue is Angela's feeling of insecurity.

Or...did he lie?  I just don't believe he did.

According to Michael he did lie.  In Michael's words he said something like he told Angela he would take down his IG account in order to calm her down, but that was a lie he didn't take it down and had no intention of taking it down because he needs the money to support his family.

I think alimony is pretty rare nowadays.  She is young and able to work.

I don’t think Michael used Angela for sex.  She is always demanding sex from him like he is her kept gigolo and he probably thought giving her some would placate her for a short while and distract her from the IG issue.  I don’t think it was for his selfish physical gratification: this is Angela after all.

I can see single Yara buying a place (if she had the money to do so) and rent it out to cover the mortgage and taxes.  Now she wants the renter out.  She does have to understand that Jovi is part of her life and she just can’t buy a place on a whim. Sure, see what is out there, find a realtor who won’t rip you off, go back to the US to see what you need to do legally to buy an overseas place, and then get serious.

I agree that her mom will tire of Yara partying with her friends and leaving Mylah with her most days. She will get resentful and tell her off and tell her to grow up - she is a parent now and that unless she pays for a full time nanny or two, the free ride is over. She may want a rich sugar daddy.

How does Angela expect Mykull to pay his bills and buy food? Usman should come clean to Kim that she is only his Green Card ticket.

I'm not sure about Jenny. Sumit seems pretty cool and easy-going. Jenny seems very low key and maybe having a midlife crisis? It seems from her bio she always worked low-skilled low-paying jobs and now lives off her social security checks. She's a dumpy dump.

In Louisiana, any assets that you will acquire during the subsistence of marriage is considered community property unless otherwise classified as separate property. Under this system, both spouses are entitled to equal share(50-50) of the interest in all assets acquired during marriage.

Usually, income levels are figured into a divorce settlement.  She CAN work, but wasn't "regularly employed," and I doubt if her income came even close to his.  She may not an award for long-term alimony, but I bet she would get something "decent" if a divorce is filed within the next few months.

Let's split hairs ... I guess it could be considered a lie...but did he say he DID take it down or he would...sometime in the future?  Maybe he WILL take it down when she sends him "an appropriate wage."  Is TLC paying him nothing?
