It is a bit of a stretch seeing a 44yo Zoe Saldana plays a twenty-something college student.

The love triangle with 2 attractive Italian guys isn’t believable. It’s also rushed. Amy barely seems interested in Giancarlo.

Six weeks in Florence, Amy is going out with one guy and has eyes on another. Amy does take Sloane’s dating advice seriously - take a lover, it’s fun and free.

I saw the previews for this and was excited for it because I needed a fun show with travel porn, but I don’t want to cry every episode and that’s what the mood seems like in upcoming episodes.

Its not. No tears for me until the 7th episode, and I'm pretty quick to the waterworks.

I thought the entire series was very sweet and touching.

Several episodes in and I still have issue with Zoe's age, she just looks too old and seasoned for the part, but I am getting more used to it.

Maybe it’s a bit hard to find a known black actress who’s fluent in Italian? I don’t know…

Zoe's age doesn't bother me. She practically looks the same as she did in Guess Who?

I honestly could not understand why Amy went for Lino in the end. Not because he wasn’t from a rich family that owned an art gallery, and not because he didn’t finish school. But because of his reaction when her family and Giancarlo visited his restaurant. I’ll grant that Giancarlo was kind of shallow, and we never did get to see much of his personality beyond that. Nonetheless, Lino knew perfectly well that Amy, with whom he was just friends, was dating Giancarlo. And then he had the gall to blow up at her because Giancarlo was there (“in MY restaurant!”) and because he presumed that she brought her family there specifically to meet him (Lino). When in fact it was a matter of “my family is hungry and my friend makes fantastic food at this restaurant”. If a guy had pulled that stunt with me I wouldn’t be dumping my boyfriend for him and running out to kiss him in the rain. I’d be thinking “anger management problem”.

Just started this series yesterday on a friends advice…she raved about it so I’m giving it a go. I don’t think Lino was out of line. Amy obviously knew Lino had feelings for her and she also felt something for him. It was wrong to bring another guy to Lino’s restaurant. If anything she might have warned him first. Although I do think it was presumptuous for Lino to think Amy brought her parents there to meet him specifically.
