Andre ,while posing as Tony ,carried out the melaswen plot because he wanted revenge for Kristen's "death". He Also wanted revenge on  John for stealing Kristen from him amd he wanted Salem's finest citizens to experience his misery . 

Kristen got involved with Brady and Kristen later " died" when she fell to her death after fighting with  Marlena . Kristen's motivations were due to her obsesion with Brady.  

Why didnt we see Andre being affected by Kristen's death and the fact that Kristen was sleeping with John Black's son ? 

Stefano tried to chop Rafe's penis off after he slept with kate  and yet Andre was completely unaffected by the love of his  life sleeping with Brady Black  

Talk about squandering potential storyline . I think they did drop the ball here.

Dena Higley insulting the audience's intelligence when Carly Manning exited the show . 

She brought in Nicholas Alamain as a 20 year old college  kid in 2011 even though we saw Nicholas as a 21 year old man who dated Billie and cheated on her with Kate back in 1998 . 

Dena could have simply cast Cody Longo as Lawrence and Carly's 2nd son and Nicholas's baby brother .

Well, they could have de-aged him by a few years so he can be Brady and EJ's peer .

He still did the nasty with both Kate and Billie . plus Kate cheated on Victor with Nicholas .

Plus lets not forget that Nicholas and Shawn D were childhood buddies. De-aging  him abit and placing his year of birth to 1981 would have been alright. 

All Im saying is that it is ridiculous to discard this aspect of Nicholas's history.

This is why I don't like SORASing period.  Belle was born when Sami was 16 (but not really).  Will was born a couple of year safter that. And EJ a couple of years after that.  Yet, EJ hit adulthood long before Will and ended up marrying Will's mother.

IIRC, Sami and Shawn were born within a couple of years of each other, but Shawn and Belle now are magically the same age. 

Phillip and Will used to share a nanny.  But, Phillip is the same age as Belle and Shawn.  Shawn was born waaaay before Brady, but Brady is now older than he is. 

It's annoying as all get out as far as I'm concerned.

How is it possible that a guy who had Mike Horton as a father and Dr Robin Jacobs as his mum plus Carrie as his stepmum ,would grow up to be a robotic Sleazy Thug . Im referring to Jeremy Horton . 

And whats worse ,he was a robotic Thug who worked for EJ DiMera 's human trafficking ring. 

The same Dimeras who terrorised his grandma Laura during the mid 1990s . The same DiMeras who kidnapped his aunt Maggie and grandma Alice and took them to Melaswen . The same DiMeras who caused the plane Mickey was on to crash . 

As for him abusing Stephanie. That was contrieved as it gets. By most accounts both Robin and Mike were in his life growing up . Plus Mike was a respectable man who never abused women so one wonders where got his  abusive streak from 

The only thing I could buy was when Hope ,Julie and Maggie Were fawning over Jeremy since Mike was always seen as the Golden boy of the Hortons so it kinda makes sense that the Hortons would fawn over Mike's son.

I liked him . It was awesome seeing him look after the DiMera Mansion When "Tony'" was jailed for the Melaswen debacle. That shOwed how loyal and devoted he was to his employers.

Welp  i said in the spoiler thread weeks ago that if the Stefan dying so Julie can have his heart rumor turned out to be true that I expected to park my ass in the bitterness thread. Well here we are.

I HATE this shit so much. HATE. I hate this more than I imagined I ever would. The way its all being played out is such bullshit. I love BB, he made love Stefan, I love Stabi..I despise Julie. Always have. I know shes a beloved character but meh. It sucks so much to see someone you like being sacrificed for someone you greatly dislike. The way a grief stricken Gabi is being pressured to give her husbands heart to a woman who has treated her like crap is such utter bullshit. Im really struggling to continue watching this depressing mess.

The prison break stoyline of 2016 should /could have been super epic . If only the show was better managed and the budget wasnt cut ,they could have brought back alot of past characters who were hauled off to jail. 

The show should /could have gone all out for that storyline and added more jailed baddies from the show's past  to the Orpheus/Clyde/Xander gang  .  

Im referring to baddies such as :

-Alex Marshall 

Nick Fallon's granddad who was arrested for commiting insurance fraud. 

-Former DA Carson Palmer 

He was arrested by Abe Carver on live tv in the middle of his interview with Jack and Jennifer on their tv show .he was exposed for being bribed by criminals to "look the otherway . 

I can see him harbouring a grudge against Jen and Abe . 

- J.L King 

Salem's drug kingpin of the early 1990s . He had one of his goons shoot a 10 year old Shawn -D while he was playing in the park to get back at Bo . 

- Gus 

Vivian's goon . The one who was beating up hookers (including Chloe ) and ended up being arrested and disowned by Vivian . 

- Carmine 

The DiMera assasin who was dispatched to kill Lucas in Prison . This was when Lucas was in jail for shooting EJ . Carmine failed and he was arrested. I could see him harbouring a grudge against the DiMeras for leaving him to rot in jail .

-Patrick Lockhart 

He will join the prison break crew  and go along with all their plans until he takes Jen and Hope plus JJ hostage and he finally meets a grown up JJ . Dont forget that Patrick delivered JJ when Jen gave birth to him at Melaswen.  I could see Patrick eventually turning against his comrades and assisting Billie and Hope to apprehend them . It will be Patrick's way of redeeming himself in their eyes. 

- Vin Ramsell 

The gun smuggler Bo and Hope hunted down during their brief Bounty Hunting job. He wants revenge on Hope.

- Ian Griffith 

The salem Hospital rapist . He raped many women with Maggie being hiS high profile victim . He also tried to rape Melissa and Jennifer but they got away .He even tried to frame Mike Horton for his crimes. 

-Dr Richard Baker 

The guy who worked for Nicole to carry out the baby Sydney babyswitch. I think he was Hope's accomplice during that Nighttime Hope debacle and he ended up getting arrested for the babyswitch. 

Orpheus ,Alex Marshall ,Clyde and J.L King would be the brains behind the crew.

Instead of them breaking out of the Police escort van ,they would escape from jail and once the cops close off a the main roads leading outta Salem , they then decide to take hostages to secure their eacape while other convicts such as Clyde /Carmine and Xander /Ian go rogue . Clyde and Carmine decide to hurt Chad and Andre while Xander guns for Nicole ,Theresa and Victor.  

Vin Ramsell becomes the first convict to die after seperating from the crew while chased by Salem PD ,he then engages in a firefight with Salem PD and gets shot dead . He'd be shot by Rafe. 

Instead of Clyde shooting Abe on live tv ,it would be Carson Palmer ,who was arrested on live tv those years ago by Abe.  Oh ,the Irony . 

Billie Reed returns after being sent by the ISA to help Salem PD apprehend Orpheus ,an ex ISA agent . Obviously Billie willl encounter her ex lover Patrick . 

Okay ,il  Skip writing  the middle act of this storyline , and write a brief summary on how this storyline would reach its climax. 

Clyde and Carmine ,who have gone rogue , kidnap Kate and Baby Thomas with Chad reluctantly begging  Andre to help him rescue them .Andre would use this to situation to rehabillitate his image . He would then bring his katana sword ,which he used when fighting John during the climax of the Melaswen debacle . 

Andre and Chad sneak inside the building where Kate and Thomas are held with Carmine and Clyde planning to kill Chad and Andre once they get there.

During the rescue Carmine beats Chad  up to Andre's chargrin while Andre and Clyde engage in a steel pole /knife/Katanna fight . During the struggle ,Chad shoots Carmine dead while Andre beheads Clyde . 

Meanwhile Xander and his prison buddy Ian manage to kidnap Theresa and Nicole after knocking out the Kiriakis security and Brady . 

Xander and Ian take them both to the Kiriakis stables after sealing off the mansion and Xander reveals his horrifying aim- To violate Nicole , while he subjects Theresa to actual rape at the hands of Ian, who cannot wait to have a woman for the first time in 3 decades. Afterall ,Xander was in jail after Theresa falsely accuseD him of rape . While Nicole pretended to be into Xander in order to spy on him on behalf of Eric and Daniel . She constantly teased him sexually and constantly led him on .

This time Xander wants his prize . This would illustrate that Xander has gone over the edge .

PluS Xander would shockingly point out that Nicole used be a pornstar so she should 've slept with him during the elephant Statue  storyline . 

Before both women are subjected to this horror , Philip and Brady race against time to rescue them .

Dont forget about Brady's brief "millitary career"when he and Nicole went to Melaswen to rescue John ,Hope and Patrick . Nicole only went along because she was obsessed with Brady . Plus Brady was part of the rescue team that rescued Philip when he was kidnapped by Andre DiMera in Iraq . The rescue team consisted of Lucas ,Rex ,Brady and Shawn .  

Philip used to be in the millitary and Philip also worked for the ISA briefly. I could see the two of mounting their own rescue mission While Salem PD has their hands full  with Orpheus and the others .

Anyways , Brady and Philip would arrive in time preventing Theresa and Nicole from being violated. They engage in a fire fight with Ian and Xander . Ian is shot dead while Xander gets away . 

Meanwhile Orpheus ,Alex,King ,Gus ,Patrick ,CaRson and Baker manage to grab Alot of  hostages at Horton Square .

Orpheus demands a ransom of 100 million Dollars transferred to his offshore account  or he starts killing hostages . They oblige him .

During the whole Hostage  ordeal ,hothead cop JJ tries to rescue them but gets caught by Patrick and Orpheus iS infuriated that Salem PD is deceiving him and he shoots JJ on the leg amd Jennifer screams and begs Orpheus not to kil her son.

PatricK realises that this is the baby he delivered during the Melaswen debacle. This would be the catalyst of his redemption . 

Alex,Orpheus ,Carson,King ,Gus and Patrick discuss how they going to share the 100 million dollars deposited into Orpheus's offshore account ....

King reveals that Fake passports will be delivered by one of his former contacts and they can now demand that Salem PD organise with the governor to bring in a private plane to fly them to any location of their choice so they cam go to the Carribean and withdraw the ransom money and from there go their sePArate ways .

.....Salem PD decide launch a Die Hard style rescue mission to save the hostages. 

Patrick and Jen have a heart to heart talk and Jen begs Patrick not to go down this path even further And they discuss JJ . 

But Patrick Half-heartedly makes it clear its too late for him and he intends to escape with his crew . 

A Salem PD  rescue op led by Hope and ISA agent Billie plus Steve and John plan to enter Horton square via the sewers and they manage to do that  And they emerge and a shootout ensues . Alex and Orpheus get away while Gus ,Carson and King are shot dead. Patrick is the only one left and for the firSt time in many years Patrick comes face to face with both Billie and Hope . 

PatriCK then decides to help Salem PD apprehend Orpheus ,Alex ,Baker and Xander in exchange for a reduced jail sentence . 

Xander meanwhile invades the hotel where Maggie aNd Victor are staying Commando style . He is determined to kill Victor and then reunite with the crew and then return later to get revenge on NicoLe and Theresa. 

Xander and Victor have heated exchange. Xander trashes Victor for caring more for Daniel ,Brady ,Justin ,Philip ,Bo ,Caroline ,Sonny ,Victor II ,Joseph and Alexander .

Before he kills Victor ,he wants to know why he and Justin treat him like an outcast . Why didnt he do anything when Theresa had him arrested ? He could throw Victor's history with Kimberly to his face . Victor would then reply and reveal that Xander's father ,Titus Kiriakis , is the reason why Victor's dad ,Yurgos Kiriakis and Justin'a dad ,Alexander Kiriakis were murdered via car bombing by a rival crime family. BAsically ,Titus was just like Fredo Corleone ,a character from the Godfather film franchise . He Was an incompetent and arrogant brat who was jealous of Victor and Alexander being favourites of Yurgos and he was constantly overlooked .

  So he approached the rival family to take out Victor and Alexander so As the only Kiriakis heir ,he could ascend And takeover the Kiriakis empire and actually give some territory to the rival family . The bombing went awry and inStead of Victor riding the same car as Alexander ,it was Yurgos , who was never meant to die . 

The assasination happened and Victor found out and Titus ,who got caught ,decided to retain what was left of his honour and he commited Suicide. Before he did ,he asked Victor to look after his son ,Alexandros Xander Cook. 

Xander is shocked by this revelation.  He then decides ,that reconciliatio with Victor is impossible and he decides to whack the old man . 

Instead of Victor faking a heart attack to deceive Deimos , Victor would fake a heart attack realising that Xander is going to kill him and he has gone over the edge . 

Xander goes over to Victor and  taunts him And he gets ready to finish Victor off and Victor draws out his concealed pistol and shoots Xander dead . 

A reminder of who Victor Kiriakis truly is . 

Paul Telfer could easily returned later portraying any of Justin's older sons . 

Alex Marshall ,Orpheus and Baker are the last men standing . King's goons bring the fake passports and unbeknowst to Baker and Orpheus , Alex Memorises   Orpheus's naMe on his fake  passport .

Alex ,Baker and Orpheus regroup . 

Patrick spills the beans and leads Salem PD to where Orpheus ,Baker and Alex are hiding . . Baker and Akex get away while Orpheus is caught .

Baker is then captured by Andre ,Who wants to appear heroic and has been hunting for the convicts hoping to catch them and look heroic in Chad And salem's eyes .

Instead of Deimos helping Xander to escape by faking his death ,It would be Andre fakIng Baker's death and in exchange ,Baker will become the DiMera's mob doctor and Rolf's assistant. 

Alex meanwhile finds himself at the Hernandez house and finds Gabi and Arianna . He points a gun at them and demands that Gabi take Rafe's car and drive them both out of Salem and get through the Salem PD roadblock which was in effect when the convicts escaped jail . 

Alex would order Gabi to dress in a sexy manner in order to get through the road block by mesmerising the male officers conducting searches of every car . Alex wears Gabi's make up and wig to disguise himself. When they get to the road block Gabi is stopped by a female officer instead of the anticipated males and she convinces the officer thst she is a stripper heading to a batchelor party in the next town while a disguised Alex is her fellow act  .

They drive right outta salem and they are way beyond the reach of Salem and They stop ,with ALex demanding Gabi to get outta the car . Alex lets her know that he is Nick Fallon's granddad and on behalf of Marie Horton and his daughter Jessica , he is going to lighten their heartache over Nick's death by executing Gabi and burying her body in a shallow grave where nobody will ever find it . Gabi begs for her life and reminds Alex that her daughter is a Horton just like Marie and Jessica.  

Alex then orders Gabi  to strip naked .

He drives his point accross by firing a bullett at her feet. She does as instructed. 

Alex then takes her clothes ,gets inside the car and simply drives off leaving her on the side of the road completely starkers . 

Alex would watch her squirm on the rearview mirror while driving away And laughing his a$$ off . It would be his way of avenging Nick by humiliating Gabi. 

Alex drives off into the unknown.

Meanwhile after Patrick helps Salem PD to catch OrPheus , he only gets a reduced jail sentence for his previous conviction and suspended sentence for the jail break. 

Jen and Billie visit Patrick Before he is hauled away and they both forgive him and he is hauled away to be transported back to jail . 

As for Orpheus ,id pretty much retain the events and storyline they used for him during the jail break storyline. 

With Orpheus dead and with the crisis over ,  You can have Abe calling the bank which hosts Orpheus's offshore bank account to return The  100 million dollars they gave to orpheus whEn he demanded it otherwise he would have shot those hostages. To Abe's horror , the manager of the bank reveals that the "0wner " of the account hss already withdrawn the cash . 

Ita revealed that Alex Marshall got himself a fake Passport and ID using Orpheus's alias and took all the money . The last shot of Alex is Alex enjoying some magarita somewhere in Costa Rica.

Too bad Corday didnt do the right thing and retire the character of Mickey when John left the show . 

It was nonsensical to recast the character .

John Ingle should have been cast as Tommy Horton jr .

Instead of Colin Murphy being the casualty of the Melaswen debacle ,it should have been Mickey sacrificing himself to save to save Alice or Hope  or the whole crew for that matter.

Would have been a neat sendoff for the actor and character.

I agree it would've been much better and it is fitting of the character given all the sacrifices he made for the Hortons for decades. Also no Mickey/Bonnie either which I forgot about until Bonnie mentioned this to Maggie a while back.

I had vivid dreams last night of Nick Corelli coming back from the dead and reuniting with Eve (Charlotte Ross version). This reminds me  I am still horribly bitter that the show chickened out of them as a couple and swiftly made him evil and killed by Jo in a matter of weeks.

With every passing month, I continue to wonder how much better off Hope and Ciara would have been had the writers not fucked over Daniel Cosgrove and allowed Aiden and Chase to be their new family members.

We would likely have been spared Rope, Ted and Princess Gina...and Ciara probably would have a different trajectory too if she hadn't been raped. Speculating here obviously but there was so much story potential to be mined from Aiden the litigator butting heads with police commissioner Hope Brady while sharing a bed at the same time. He probably could have been trying to help cover up the fact that she had shot Stefano (instead of useless Rafe), filed appeals to have her released from prison when she was being roughed up behind bars, and come to Prague to help the gang find the real Stefano.

They still could have followed up on Chase accidentally killing his mother by showing him to be disturbed in some way, but with him cemented as Ciara's fun and kind-hearted brother, this would have been a much more dramatic and heartbreaking arc for the family to grapple with.

Hope and Aiden's marriage could have been tested repeatedly by the fact that he had to defend criminals that Hope was trying to put away, and that in turn Aiden had perhaps bent the law to try to help Hope when she herself was a criminal behind bars. Plus, there would have been the ghosts of both Aiden's first wife and Bo hanging over their relationship. But if they managed to pull through everything, the audience would have been rooting for them.

Instead, now we have KA pretending to be British and failing utterly, and Ciara obsessed with a murdering psychopath. Neither character is even a shadow of their former selves, and it's clear the show has no idea what to do with them long term.

And if the show wanted to pretend that Hope was younger than she actually was, they should have not aged Ciara (keeping the popular LB) and Chase. It would have also avoided another storyline where a female gets sexually assaulted.

Well at least it happened when Days used to be good I can only imagine how terrible the couple would be with Ron at the helm...

Yes I hate how they ruined Hope/Aiden in an ironic twist that did more damage to Hope than Aiden who managed to leave town with some dignity intact. I also haven't liked Ciara since LB played her....

I think they realize that they can't write these two beyond misery. I mean sure Nicole could easily exist in other pairings, alone etc she's a more dynamic character. Eric? Not so much. I mean how many of us including myself complained about a defanged Nicole when she's with Eric. Sure soaps used to write couples where one is bad and the other is good but the bad girl/boy grows up a bit and still manages to be interesting.

I will always be angry and bitter that the legacy kids were never developed and given full lives on the show with Sami being the exception.

The show should have also focused on Eric, Carrie, Stefanie, a sister through Kayla by her husband when Steve was dead, Joey, Steve Hawke(Benjy's son) Jeannie(Theresa), Andrew,  Max Brady, Shawn-Douglas, Zack and Kim and Shane's first daughter never should have been killed off, Brady, Abigail, JJ, Belle, Noelle Curtis, Sarah, Mike, Jeremy,  Nathan, kids from Sandy Horton, kids from Eugene,  kids from Hope's brothers, Alexander Kiriakis, The Kiriakis twins, Philip all should have been the future of the show.  Villains, villainesses, anti-heroes, anti-heroines, heroes  and heroines could have emerged naturally from the legacy kids.

Also, Chad should have been EJ raised by Susan who wanted to know his biological dad Stefano and the actor who played EJ should have been Tony and Anna's son raised by Stefano. Fake legacy children like Paul and Trip should not exist either. 

The vets should be supporting players in the lives of their kids and grandkids who are driving their own stories just like Tom and Alice did with theirs. How many times can we watch Jarlena fight an interloper or face impending death? We all know how it will turn out, boring repetitive and unimaginative.

Shawn/Belle did have a story on the show and a kid(which they aged to quickly and totally wrecked their trajectory in the process) but yeah the other were pretty shortchanged on this show. 

I think they wouldn't have been in this creative rut they're in now and maybe the show would've been in a much better place where their budget wouldn't have been slashed like it was because of it.

Shawn and Belle were also written badly and underdeveloped. I personally was always against Shelle because I wanted John to remain Roman. Another decision that wrecked the show. I would have liked Belle and Abigail to become rivals over Philip.  I also wanted Brady and Abigail to fall in love, they were a destiny couple and that got wrecked with SORAS.

I get Deidre Hall wanted Wayne Northrop to return with her in 1991, and I get that he was the original actor in the role of Roman. But making mincemeat out of Drake Hogestyn's character for Northrop when he didn't even stick around now seems like such a waste.

But with all of the pretzel twisting and the whole Shawn/Belle and Brady/Theresa couplings (which are still gross to me as Kim still considered John her brother, as did Bo), it's way too late to make him Roman again. (And Brady would technically be Brady Brady, although I guess he could keep Black...)

DOnt forget about other indirect legacy kids such as Annie Peters ,daughter of Susan Martin . Susan was Julie's enemy during the 1970s .

Plus Orpheus's son and daughter. 

And also JT Reiber and his half brother plus Charlie Jannings ,Melissa Horton's step son. 

BoOo to fake legacy kids like DANIEL ,Summer ,Xander ,tripp and Paul. 

Paul should have been the son of Peter Blake .

Lucas Adams should have been cast as Steven Hawk .

Paul Telfer should have played Victor Kiriakis II and his twin Joseph Kiriakis. 

EVAN Should have been the son of Eugene and Calliope arriving to sAlem to claim his son with Jordan .

Plus he could have turned out to be bisexual .

They should have brought Melissa Horton back instead of creating Summer. Staci Haiduk would have been great as Melissa. Kristen 's tOtally  played out. 

I also kinda expected Some Of the members of  the last blast crew to also be prominent characters by Now  but that never hapPened despite the fact that Tom Langan and Sussman did a decent job developing them . 

Philip, Jan ,Belle, Shawn ,Mimi ,Chloe and Jason Welles .  

The others got exposure to shine briefly . The oNly character who was heavily featured and given a somewhat prominent status was Philip during the period from mid 2007 to 2010. After that Philip appeared less and less And he eventually left in 2011.   .

but i think Jason should have also been a big time plAyer. He could have been a lOve interest for the likes of Theresa ,Stephanie,Abby and other young LEGACY  ladies . Plus Jason was stated to be from a rich family as well.  He could have been a prominent business man engaging in rivalries with the likes of Chad  and Nicolas Alamain And the Kiriakis clan . So Much Missed potential

Plus Chris was close to the Bradys and he is One of Marlena's maLe BFFs sO it wouldnt be far fetched for the likes of Sami to refer to hiM as uncle Chris . Sami trying to save uncle Chris from the clutches of Kate would have still worked if Chris, perhaps representing Sami during her murder trial for Franco's murder  ,saved Sami from being executed and Sami ended up looking up to him as a father figure .

The present fake Roman is basically Roman in name oNly. 

Josh Taylor is Pretty Much still playing Chris Kositchek . 

I am still apalled that they recast the role of roman with the guy who played Chris Kositchek.

Chris best pairing was Savannah.. She was a bad girl who was not obsessed with a man but she wanted money and power..I think it is why JT's Roman works with Kate.. Also after Roman died JT's Chris was tested with Marlena and they had no chemistry.

I think Gabi hates Abigail so much because she's jealous.  She wants to be a Horton.  She wants that unconditional love and support that Abby has from her parents, sibling, etc.  She can't stand that Abigail has all that.  It's not Abigail's fault that Gabi doesn't have the family/support system that she wants.
