Does anyone else think Julia’s death was actually much harder on Smurf?

So I’m watching season five with all the flashbacks to Julia and Andrew’s upbringing.

smurf loved those kids.  Yes she paid Julia’s rent but I suspect that it would have hit her harder when she died.
