What, no cozy cooking scene with Brenda and April?  I loathe Boat Boy.  He reminds me of the popular jocks that I watched from afar in high school, that could get any popular girl to fuck them.  He's selfish and too full of himself.

Seeing how Roberta lives is rather depressing. I can understand why she got involved with the Merryfields.  I think it’s sad that her mother doesn’t believe in polygamy, but is willing to do anything for her daughter to have a better life. 

Sidian is saying one thing, but his demeanor is saying something else.  It’s almost as if it’s something he has to do instead of wants to do.  Tosha seems more excited about Arielle than he does.

I am not sure what, exactly, bothers me about this group of polygamists, aside from them all being unappealing, overall. I just can't shake off the creepy "ick" factor with Sidion (sp?), Garrick, and that short guy who just cruises for random women to join him. I do understand why G and S need to go overseas to find another wife because I do not see what they have to offer a regular American woman. Add the language barrier and these poor foreign women don't have our viewers' insight into how awkward and creepy they actually are. And this nonsense of the men being in "love" is a joke. It's predatory lust, blech.

I agree, except I doubt that he got many women. Even the women he's trying to get with now have nothing to write home about. I do not understand why Brenda is there, given they haven't any kids together. What is the point? As well, his daughter made some valid observations which he wouldn't answer, but then complained she was pushing buttons. I think he wants his world to only contain women he can control.

The Davis clan smells of a welfare scam. If he's got 3 to 4 wives, and they each have kids, each woman can claim for her family unit. She can also live with the other wives and not have it questioned, as opposed to if she moved in with a man. If he doesn't marry any of them, he's not legally bound to support them in the future. Yet he expects all these women to throw their government (or work) pay cheques into the communal money pot.

I find Garrick asexual, in spite of his attempts to appear as an experienced 'husband'. Every sexual overture, or attempt at affection, is clumsy and inauthentic. I find Danielle and Bert have far more sexual chemistry than Garrick with anyone.

Maybe Dannnnielle dresses him and wants him to look as ridiculous as he is.

Both Sidian and Ick are extremely awkward.  Ick is an emotional mess who cries at everything.  Sidian seems to not have open emotional connections with anyone.  Neither needs another wife to throw into the mix.

I think I watched the first season of this show and then now this one. Were they on last season? Is there backstory about why they're into polygamy? Because the vibe I get is church kids who are trying to be really edgy and not pulling it off.  She's dressing out of the Pretty Woman catalogue and he's trying to be Zoolander.

Roberta showed Ick and Dannielle where she grew up, but does she live there now? Methinks it was a play to garner sympathy and continued financial support.  I want to know her current situation.  Mom Roberta’s hair was on point and a decent dye job and blowout flat iron isn’t cheapie.
