I wouldn't be surprised if jealousy was a factor but I doubt it's a very conscious thing on, say, Kyle's part to defend Erika. When it comes to Kyle, specifically, I suspect that she unknowingly is recreating the dynamic she grew up with when she defends Erika. My guess is that narcissistic Erika is very much like Big Kathy, who sounds like she was pretty manipulative.

Rinna is the one I honestly can't figure out. She seemingly grew up in a functional household with a mother that obviously cared about her. And yet for whatever reason, Rinna seems to gravitate towards women like Diana and Erika. I don't get it.

Is Kyle friends with Diana? Why did she take her side over Sutton's? Why did Rinna throw Denise under the bus when she'd known her longer than everyone else? I sense some jealousy, but who knows.

Kyle enjoys making fun of Sutton. She sabotages her behind her back. Kyle acts like she's still in high school and Sutton is not cool enough to join her group.

In Rinna's case, I too think it was jealousy when it came to Denise. But I also believe Lisa thinks she has to play a certain villain role to hold her spot on the show. It's like she has embraced the job of causing trouble knowing production wants things stirred up.

I honestly think Rinna is convinced she has to play the role of villain to keep her job on the show. The role also suits her as she seems to have a mean streak. So she gravitates to the other troublemakers. Lisa sure doesn't seem anything like her wonderful mother who appeared to be a warm and humorous person, and a strong woman who bravely survived an awful ordeal.

The Hanukkah celebration was one of the more genuine things I’ve seen on this show—certainly in recent seasons.

That Kyle and Dorit were involved makes it even more surprising 🤣

I couldn't stand all of the deflection and other typical playground bully tactics that Diana was using toward Sutton at that lunch.  The constant repeating of Sutton's comments in the form of a question is typical deflection that gives a bully time to think of another retort.  Constantly repeating the same reply to comments, i.e. "So you say" is another one.

I was half expecting Diana to say "I know you are, but what am I?" or "You're not the boss of me".  She was so juvenile.

Plus, I find Diana completely pretentious, persnickety, pernicious (tm - Camille Donatacci), boring, boorish, bougie.  Those are just a few adjectives I have for her.

Except that Diana couldn’t even eventually come up with a retort. She’s heinous AND stupid.

p.s. I haven’t finished watching the entire episode.

Diana better be glad Rinna wasn’t there to toss a glass 🤣

Well…

The only positive thing I can post about this creepy t- - t is that her behavior is universally bonding all of us. And that her appearance now aligns with her decomposing insides. Some really foul, sour stuff going on here.
Maybe realizing that she has lost her looks is causing her to spiral.

Apologies if this was already posted in the past...

Thanks for this-always find these interesting.

in the red dress pic I was wondering if she had gotten a hair transplant around her face but since the second pic is a later one maybe the makeup artist sort of filled in any gaps with dark powder or something.

The scene with Sutton's dating app guy was cute. It actually made it seem like these women are friends.

It was cute!  Back in the day the show seemed more like this except maybe two of the women per show would be in a tiff.   It didn’t seem like just about every cast member was involved in conflict and a bunch of pile-ons.

Let’s be honest, Diana hates Sutton because Sutton stepped all over Diana’s big entrance. Diana and Rinna had concocted their Sutton takedown for Diana’s big introduction to the HWs; Rinna was going to say that she had to go looking for a table to the Elton John gala because Sutton had cancelled her table and Diana, a patron of the gala, was going to confirm it. But Sutton brought receipts, so all Diana had left was to declare it all tacky to be discussing the matter, which was not thr HBIC moment she and Rinna imagined.

In retrospect, you can tell Diana was irritated with Sutton because she kept taking little passive aggressive pot shots, Sutton is clumsy, Sutton is awkward, when she had not even spent any time with Sutton. The forced interactions and meetings (we see you being shady production), did not help; in fact it gave Diana more opportunities and ammunition to go after Sutton (bacon eating vegetarian), and enough continued irritations to cause Sutton to snap at Diana.

Then Sutton unwittingly stepped on Diana’s next big HW moment, her disclosure of her brother’s death, by trying to connect with Diana over shared trauma and mentioning her father’s suicide. Then came the miscarriage discussion. Diana hates Sutton because Sutton unintentionally keeps Diana from having her big HW moments. Apparently, not allowing Diana to shine is a worse crime than drunkingly cussing out a minor (Erika), physically assaulting a person (Kyle), or being a vile bitch in general (Rinna).

I think the only reason Sutton keeps trying to find common ground is that she has spent one season where someone openly hated her and how uncomfortable that made group interactions, so she is trying to smooth things over so everyone can be civil. Unfortunately, Diana doesn’t care, so Sutton needs to just give up.

Oh, you are good! Yes yes yes!

When did the Diana miscarriage happen?  Was it during the filming of this season? Somehow I thought it happened a while ago.  Everytime I see Diana's smug face all I can think of is "Pride comes before the fall." We have seen it before with housewives on various franchises.  Some have even spent time in prison and one is going to prison before long.  I can't help but think that Diana is eventually going to take a fall. She has to be one of the most if not the most unlikeable  housewives in the housewives shows.

I really enjoyed the Hanukkah scene - i loved that everyone around the table was actively participating with the prayer and the song.

I'll take a table for one, but I really don't know the Sound of Music - (I know the songs, but really never saw it), therefore I didn't get Sutton's reference, can someone fill me in while you escort me out.  :)

Let's start at the very beginning

A very good place to start

When you read you begin with A-B-C

Sutton must be a big fan of the musical, because not too many people would remember that.  Diana certainly seemed to have no clue what Sutton was referencing.

It was an odd reference but I got it right away, "Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start," Sutton meaning she wanted to do a time line of the shit show interactions she has had with Diana.

I don't think it is really that deep (though I wouldn't be surprised if Rinna and Diana did scheme about the Elton John thing). I think Diana doesn't like Sutton because she is used to being the richest one around and to people sucking up to her.

I have my issues with Sutton - I think that there are times she can be awkward and self-centered - but she doesn't see much of a need to suck up to Diana because Sutton has her own wealth. So I appreciate the fact that she isn't doing that.

The producers need to split this franchise into two separate shows. The first one, still called RHOBH and airing on Bravo, would have Garcelle, Sutton, Crystal and Dorit (yes I know) as full time cast members with occasional visits by Kathy, LVP and Camille. The second group, known as the “Willains” would feature Rinna, Dianna, Kyle and Erika. That show would air on Peacock. Brandi and Teddi could stop by just to make things even worse. It is not necessary to have story lines. They thought they were getting one with Erika and her legal issues but she finally started listening to her lawyers and now says nothing. They bought a pig in a poke.

Was this week sort of a filler week for the show?  While I enjoyed seeing the holiday stuff, and the family stuff, the episode just seemed like a bunch of filler edited together with no real continuity.

The scene with Rinna and Harry Hamlin was so weird - just praising their daughter, who's becoming soooo important (cough, cough).   Rinna constantly mentioning Lois every chance she can just seems gratuitous and fake to me.  And, why are we not seeing or hearing anything about Delilah anymore - just Amelia?

I loved the scene with Garcelle and her sons shopping, and the scene with Crystal and her daughter was a cute, nothing little filler.

I liked the Hannukah celebration at Kyle's, but I didn't get the whole snow thing.  Was that fake snow, along with Kyle wearing a heavy wool sweater and wool hat in 90 degree LA weather?  If it was real snow, wouldn't it have melted quickly?

I truly have zero interest in seeing either woman on this show. LVP doesn't make or break RHOBH, a fact that I am sure kills LVP because I am sure she thought the show would collapse without her. She can stick to VPR, where she makes a lot more sense.

Quite honestly, I do wonder if the show works without Kyle. There are certainly aspects of Kyle's personality that I don't love but her connections to reality stars throughout Hollywood make her the linchpin to RHOBH, I think. She creates enough drama but also has solid enough relationships to make the show feel cohesive. I know many would like to see her gone but I just don't see that happening and I think the show would suffer if it did.

I know I am over thinking this but at the lunch with Sutton and Diana, when it was over and Sutton said she was leaving, it seemed she hesitantly walked towards the door, was it because she hadn't paid for her lunch and was unsure of who was actually supposed to pay? Was this a passive aggressive FU to Diana as in pay for my meal Diana! Maybe we missed the paying the bill part, but I am totally over thinking.

Also, Seinfeld reference, Sutton ordered soup, "soup isn't a meal Jerry!"

The waiter coming over and awkwardly asking if everything was okay I think for a second Sutton didn't know if she was in therapy or a restaurant!

It would be awesome. Sick of her and her constantly stoned husband. The only thing I am remotely interested in seeing is her dogs. Plus I do enjoy seeing that light up sign in her entry that belongs in a dive bar because every time I see it I think the morally corrupt Faye Resnick did that just to embarass her and Kyle is too clueless to realize it.

Still thinking about how weird the garden party/dinner was. Rinna was boorish, as usual — it seemed like her only purpose for being there was to goad Sutton. Very uncomfortable scene. Then they went inside and everything just…went away. All girly-girl giggles over Sutton’s dating matchup, which I did not find cute, given the current group vibe.

Diana had Rinna do her dirty work. That’s how this chick rolls, I guess. I can’t remember if Diana pretty much folds in confontational group settings, and therefore must feed others (like Minion Rinna) bullshit info to use as ammo and then sends them in to use it, while she keeps her cowardly distance.

If Kyle doesn’t have receipts on everything that happens to the others, it’s immediately suspect? She’s like the cliche, “Pics, or it didn’t happen.” Nobody owes you a damn thing, dear.

Harry and Rinna thanking Lois for Amelia’s (or Delilah’s?) good fortune. O-kay.

Sutton needs to take the “kick me” sign off her back. She sets herself up WAY too much and season after season of this is getting hard to take.

Man, I felt sorry for that server. That alone earned him a good tip (which he probably didn’t get, especially if Diana wound up paying).

I was too focused on Diana’s smirk to watch Sutton, but walking away had to make her feel awkward. Another Kumbaya moment shot to hell. She needs to stop doing this with people who will never be her friend.

That flashback clip was hard to watch. Sutton telling Diana that she had 2 miscarriages, Diana mocking her "here come the tears, with the big blue eyes" and Sutton saying "they're green" with tears in her eyes. And knowing how Kyle manhandled her in that moment. Sutton must have felt like a punching bag between those two.

Erika couldn't have even bothered to take a her sunglasses off while apologizing to Garcelle?

I really wish when Kyle mentioned she had never seen Erika lose her composure, the editors would have rolled clips of Erika losing her mind. I also couldn't stand Kyle's smirk at lunch with Garcelle and Sheree. I'm also so sick of these women saying "Erika has been through a lot." You know who's been through worse? The victims.

Diana at lunch was gaslighting at it's finest. Nothing Sutton said was going to matter, Diana is determined to have a problem with her. Diana was very bizarre in that moment.

I don’t know that Garcelle should use the word alcoholic but I do think that when Erika is on medication she should avoid alcohol. However, watching this show makes me want to drink so I can’t imagine being with the group and not drinking.

Garcelle, Kyle took advantage of her sister’s alcohol problems and turned on her many a time on camera. Shes not going to care if Erika is sloppy drunk. In fact Erika deserves to let her hair down.🙄

I don’t know why Sutton bothered with the Diana lunch other than needing to fill some camera time.  I didn’t think Sutton should share her miscarriages with Diana in the first place because I knew Diana wouldn’t give a shit. She is an odd superficial woman and not friend material in any sense of the word. She’s a name dropper and socialite phony witch. I wish she’d lick her lips off this show cause she’s disgusting and not entertaining.

I always thought the network picked up the restaurant bill.  The food costs surely are minimal as they rarely eat anything but I’m sure the alcohol tab is sky high considering the way these witches guzzle their brews.

I missed most of the episode except for the final scene with Sutton and Diana.  I have to say, of the two, Sutton looked the  prettiest.  And she was the classiest one at that table.
Diana has picked the wrong side unfortunately. She’s probably realizing that now, six months later.

I think Sutton's genteel Southern Miss manners can come across as phony, the 'butter wouldn't melt in her mouth'/'bless your heart' kind of thing. But I do think she was being genuine then because of her own experience. And I do think she's the type of person, as seen by her dealings with Kyle, who doesn't like open conflict and likes people to get to the point of civility and, as she told Diana, to interact pleasantly. Doesn't mean you're best friends but I think she comes from a background that can put on that polite facade--not being fake but just having manners.

I feel like part of it also is that no, Sutton doesn't really feel that bad around Diana because why the hell should she? The woman's just been terrible to her! But she wants to make it clear that she's not being rude. That she isn't taking jabs at her talking about her miscarriage and whatever, she was trying to have a totally acceptable reaction.

But like has been said, she doesn't get that what she's really doing to piss Diana off and seem fake is that she keeps undercutting her big moments. Which is what Diana is literally accusing her of doing. Sutton rightly defends herself against that, she's just wrong in trying to pretend it's coming from a place of caring for Diana instead of just indignation. Because she's earned her indignation. And she can't change her strategy when Diana just mocks everything she says as proof that she's fake.

Also, wanted to mention I keep thinking of Diana's throwaway line about how she gets involved with charities she doesn't even really understand because she's so generous. That felt like a set up to me for some defense when it turns out she's been involved in something shady.

That line and also Rinna's attempt to explain how Amelia was becoming one of the people who "make it happen." Um, what? So she's, like, a model? What's she making happen?

I enjoyed LVP but never thought she made the show either. It has always been an ensemble cast. I do think she makes fabulous TV, but not so fabulous I could get into VPR. Maybe the show needed more her and less chuckleheads, but I digress.

That is Kyle's best quality imo. Vanderpump brought more charm. She would be a better solo reality star imo, but I never felt like she cared about any of the others beyond coworkers she wanted to create drama and sit back and be the favorite. Love it or hate it, Kyle gets into the middle of everything on camera and does have connections to most of the cast. As much as she annoys me this season, I get that she is a still strong anchor.

It's like that Golden Girls episode where Rose becomes obsessed with the fact that one of her male coworkers doesn't like her. Dorothy even tells her to let it go and leave the guy alone. Rose spends most of the episode trying to get him to like her, until she finally comes out and asks why. He basically says, "I just don't like you."

A wise person once pointed out that part of realizing that sometimes you just don't like people is accepting that sometimes other people just won't like you.

What I want to know is why is she friends with Rinna who isn't AList? None of those AListers would be caught dead in Rinna's company.

I'm assuming that Diana is a celebrity hanger-on in general.

Generally speaking, doesn't production decide who they want and assign a housewife to be their "friend" who brings them into the circle? Haven't we learned before that there sometimes was little to no acquaintance whatsoever, which is why the new person sometimes ends up having the biggest beef with the person who brought her in? I think Garcelle and Rinna did, in fact have an acquaintance going back many years, but I think they're the exception.

She's not my favorite so I don't pay that much attention, but hasn't she given the impression that she was a wild child and left home very young and early? She may have attached herself in those early years to the kind of aggressive, dynamic woman she admired and wanted to be, and the desire for their approval never left.

I'm totally team Sutton (vs Diana), but she opened the entire party exchange with Diana with an overtly snide remark implying her serious health issue was a lie, and whether she truly thought so or not, that was so far out of bounds that it gave Diana way too much leeway to treat her hostile-ly from that point forward. Yes, she apologized this week, and I think it was a genuine apology. And the conversation likely would have gone wrong regardless. But her opening move was just so awful that it gave Diana a perfect place to dig in.

I don't know if the full face was baby weight, hormones, or fillers, but Diana's later talking head with the shrunken face was quite jarring.
