Kathy Bates was great!  Scary as hell too

It was nice to see James Caan as well playing a more passive character.  He was very good as well.  I'm used to more overly macho men with him

I remember seeing a countdown on Bravo once, "100 Scariest Movie Moments", and that scene was in there. I can't remember where in the countdown it landed, but yeah. It's horrifying. 

The scene that ultimately leads to that one, where Annie's gone out to run errands or something, and Paul's poking around her home and then has to try and scramble back to bed before she catches him upon returning home, always makes me super anxious and tense as well.

Such a great movie. Kathy Bates was awesome as terrifying Annie. James Caan was great as always. I love him finally turning the tables on her. I also love the sheriff and his wife. They were hilarious together. I hate his murder.
