Would someone please explain to me how Christina manages to work for two rival sock companies?

Sloppy/lazy writing .. she has stated she no longer works there but somehow is still part of the Uppermanagemt bonuses and meetings somehow ... the writers don't know how to write her into things so they just have her in there hoping no-one ask this

I don’t know if you wanted to start a thread about Christina (she probably deserves her own thread for us to keep track of her doings) but your question was also discussed here:

I dont think she is a "owner" just upper management she doesn't have a stake in the company (other then her mother and brother running it) that's why she left her ideas weren't being payed attention to ... there is no way her mother would still be giving any of them money if they were working for another company hell even BOB wouldn't be that nice

It may have been a condition of the father's will or trust that the children receive money every year from the company.

But that doesn’t make sense that she would receive bonuses IF they did well if it was a trust. It really is just sloppy writing

yes, it's stupid writing and I hate it. It's really turning me off the show. It should be illegal for her to get bonuses from Maxdot if she's working for another company. Or, if we handwave it away as a payment for her appearing on the Maxdot infomercial, then her new company should have fired her ass for advertising a competing company. She should have ZERO jobs now, not TWO. If this incompetent writing continues, I may just quit this show.

Plus, if Christina could have just given back her bonus, they could have given that to Goodwin instead. I don't know why Bob wouldn't insist on it, or give his own bonus to Goodwin. Fucking incompetent and selfish people, and now Christina is hiring Goodwin away. The whole storyline is shit.

It's a family owned company and Christina is a stakeholder, whether she works there or not.

Exactly. I think people are getting hung up on the wording "bonuses" perhaps it's not the correct legal description but either the writers don't know the difference or we're to think the family just uses them interchangeably (and not that uncommon in my experience).

Since we don't know timelines on this show, it's quite possible that Christina was still employed at MaxDot until after their fiscal year ended, so as an employee during that time, she's entitled to her bonus. I think the word "bonus" was misused, since it appeared that only the family got bonuses (although this year, it included Kofo). What I found more peculiar is that apparently the only "upper management" is the Wheelers, which includes Dot as -- what? the CEO or chairman of the board? -- Bob is the CEO as far as I can tell, Douglas was HR, and Christina was marketing. Since Douglas's demotion to the warehouse floor, does that mean no one does HR anymore? That's unlikely. (Although maybe that is so, since Dot is increasingly shown to be a throwback to robber barons of old, who believed in exploiting the workers as much as they could get away with. I'd love to see a storyline where the MaxDot employees unionize.)

I don't think Christina is poaching Goodwin. I'm sure he went to her of his own free will, because he was unsatisfied by his treatment at MaxDot, and I don't blame him. At the very least, Goodwin is middle management as manager of the warehouse floor and should have been given something.

It's almost as though the writers never even heard of Google to see how a corporation can be structured.

Doesn’t her mother control their money? I mean if they don’t have to work to still get bonus’s and pay outs to make money why would Douglas or her in hindsight work at all?… it’s a plot hole

They're just all over the place with Christine. Sometimes she's competent and unfairly overlooked by her family, sometimes she's pathetic and needy. And now she got tricked and fired for sleeping with a coworker.

Why couldn't she have just ordered food at the restaurant instead of spending all night drinking with that guy? Surely if you meant to get drunk, you'd go to a bar, not a sit-down restaurant? And now that she's fired, maybe the writers will send her back to MaxDot to be unappreciated again. Too much wackiness, and I'm getting tired of the show's continual drama.
