Oops, I guess Crockett made the wrong decision for Blake.

Interesting that Dr. Charles broke up with his psych friend. I think worrying about the fact she was his therapist and knew a lot about him was a legit worry and it's probably good that he took the step to end things instead of continually worrying about it and freezing up in regards to decisions. I think his daughter's comment said out loud cemented what he was internally worrying about

I felt sorry for Will getting his building set ablaze. Dylan shouldn’t have put him in that situation.
I love Crockett, but his backseat operating was beyond the pale. My boy Dr. Abrams was right to throw him out.
Couldn’t Sharon’s daughter have been carried downstairs to the functioning elevators?
Choi and Archer looked hot in their dress uniforms! 😋

I liked their father-daughter dynamic tonight. It was affectionate and playful.

Wasn’t Dr Charles’ daughter previously pregnant and lose it? If so, I thought it was odd she responded to the birth by saying she’s never having a baby

I find it really hard to believe a restaurant didn't have a service elevator aside from the one for the patrons.  They have to haul huge amounts of food and supplies up, and garbage down, not to mention laundry.  That's not going in the customer elevator.

I thought this was a great finale and overall, this season has been a step up from the last few seasons, mostly as a result of the introductions of Dr Hammer and Dr Scott and the reintroduction of Dr Asher.

I have trouble judging this season with any perspective because it has been improved so incredibly much for me by the absence of Natalie. Is Will still awful? Yes. Are some of the storylines awful? Yes. But overall, losing her has improved things so much that it’s a huge step up regardless.

Uh oh Crockett. She trusted him as a surgeon, and he reacted as a boyfriend. And it’s all on him. I’m pulling for him because I like them together but I reiterate- uh oh.

What kind of death trap was that restaurant? An example of the stupid storylines I mentioned. Goodwin always improves things however. I’m glad she had a healthy grand baby.

Don't think I'd want to be eating an expensive dinner in that fancy restaurant while a mother was giving birth on the floor.

I hope everyone’s meals were comped!

Crockett was overbearing and ridiculous.  Much like any medical show, they perpetuate the misconception that a doctor of any specialty is an expert in every specialty that is not of his/her own.  Crockett is a trauma surgeon, yet somehow became a transplant surgeon, yet now knows the nuances of neurosurgery as well.  These are all specific specialties where doctors have to do years of additional training.  Trauma and transplant?  OK, maybe a little overlap and I can see that.  A transplant surgeon knowing neurosurgery?  No.

What's also not addressed is why Blake gave him power of attorney in the first place and not her daughter.  Was their relationship bad?  Don't you think she should have had this discussion first with the daughter?  And Crockett and the daughter...they did or did not hook up?  I remember the storyline implied that they were going to, but I don't ever recall seeing them in bed together.  So isn't that inherently awkward?  Yet it wasn't addressed?

Sharon and her daughter appeared to be at the Signature Room, which is on the 95th floor of the John Hancock center.  So walking down isn't an option.

Yes, obviously there would be a freight elevator.  But there only has to be one elevator to fit with the inane storyline.  Certainly this building has multiple banks of elevators being a high rise.

Looked like they cleared the restaurant for the delivery and had everyone escorted out.  So did they have to walk down?

So Scott goes to see Jo/Milena one last time.  Not for a quickie.  Not even for a hug.  Just because "he couldn't let her leave without seeing her".  Uh, how dumb are you?  That's what FaceTime is for.  What I'm confused about is that this guy was apparently in her apartment even before Scott got there?  I think?  It appeared that way.   So he's lying in wait.  Presumably Jo just didn't arrive home carrying groceries and she was just there for a minute before Dylan arrived.  What was that dude waiting for?  Also (since I fell asleep last episode), does Will know she was undercover?  Scott I think first told Will something about "Milena", but then when they were in the stairwell with the fire and he saw the blood on the wall, he said "That's Jo's."  So a little continuity mix up there.  Also, when did Jo get shot?  Scott and dude struggle, he gets shot through the chest...the bullet exited him and then got lodged into Milena's stomach?  Yeah, I don't think she would be walking down the stairs through raging fire if that were the case.

I still can't stand Choi.  So Choi and Archer in their dress whites (I agree that dress whites always look sharp) for the memorial and gun salute.  Then he hands the flag over to the grieving crying veteran.  So essentially Choi outs his father then?  When he was struggling all along with whether or not to keep the secret?  And where was his sister at the service?

I didn’t mean walk all the way down. The implication I got was that there was a separate elevator that went only to the restaurant. I assumed one took an elevator to a floor, got off, then got onto the restaurant elevator.

No, they never hooked up.

i thought it looked like the area where the delivery was done was kind of closed off by some kind of screens, so as not to be right in the other people's faces.  they really couldn't make them all leave, so seemed like the best they could do

i thought choi gave the flag to the man after pretty much everyone else had left, so not a big display.  and i think it was a thoughtful way to acknowledge how the man must have been hurting.  not a big choi fan, but this was him at his best, in my opinion

when the daughter of the alcoholic mother was standing there screaming her feelings to her dying mother, all i could think was, couldn't someone at least go close the door to that room to try to muffle the sound so the other patients weren't blasted with it

It was an unintended teen pregnancy so I don't see it as odd at all. If anything, the experience would make her reaction stronger since it's not as abstract an idea as it might be for other girls/young women her age (I'm not sure how old she is now, but still in high school I think). Good chance she'll reconsider later on, of course, but a perfectly reasonable reaction in the moment!

Man, Crockett was stupid. How ironic the daughter Avery, who seems to be at odds with her mother, knows what her mother would want instead of Crockett. This is reason # 1542 of why you don't date your boss. Crockett couldn't think objectively, and thought with his heart over his head.

But I also can't let Blake off the hook either. She's only been in a relationship (if you want to call it that) with Crocket for 4-5 months. And in that time, "there's nobody she trusts more" than him to hand over power of attorney for her medical decisions. This is about as contrived as it gets. Who in their right mind gives the power of their medical decisions to someone that they're casually seeing over an actual family member? That makes no sense. They haven't even traded "I love yous", and haven't shown any sign of a full commitment to each other. Marcel is just sleeping with another person he works with. Maybe if they were engaged or had been together for years, would it make sense to give him power of attorney. But not for some relationship that hasn't lasted a year.

And Marcel needs to shut up trying tell an actual neurosurgeon in Dr. Abrams how to do his job. That was so stupid. How was he even allowed to watch the surgery in the first place.

Also, in the real world, that restaurant would not be allowed to be open, or it would not be financially viable if they have just one elevator for the entire building. That's a death trap waiting to happen.

I feel bad for Will. The building he took a leap on buying goes up in flames. I do hope it's properly insured. And Dr. Scott, do you really think Milena/Jo would have been gone forever. She has your number. She'll call you when she's safe. But by going back to the building, you probably lead the mob guy right to her.

It was a chemical pregnancy if I recall. She had all the the normal symptoms of a pregnancy, but it wasn't an actual pregnancy.

Blake giving him power of attorney over her daughter, who is an actual malpractice lawyer, was just stupid. They've been together less than a year, and he's the only person she trusts? Come on. It would make more sense if they had been together longer, like a few years. Not 5 months. Blake and her daughter probably didn't have the best relationship, but considering she was there for her surgery and knew what her mother would want gives the idea that they still had some type of relationship. And Crockett and Avery never did hook-up. Avery wanted to, but Crockett never let it get that far. And the fantasy was destroyed when she walked in on him kissing her mother.
