At this point I   have to wonder if Freydis'  plot was supposed to be part of some other fantasy work and got recycled for this show.

It's hard to keep the relationships straight.  I thought Harold's brother was just an jarl, but he's apparently Canute's heir?  I'm surprised Canute didn't punish him since he tried his side hustle of the Queen.

I'm glad the Emma's sons weren't injured.  Godwin made me laugh when he told the boys that the guards went to heaven.

I hope the scumbag and his posse that threatened the baby in Sweden is killed by Freydis.  Who the hell are they to dictate what religion people should follow?

Looks like Queen Emma will sleep her way back to the top. I can see her working against Edmund who I don't think she has any respect for.

I'm not into the subplot with Uppsala although the scenery is beautiful.

Isn't one of the boys the future Edward the Confessor? He likely has some plot armour

Canute is king of Denmark, Olaf is jarl in Norway, from what I can gather. Canute is promising to make Harald King of Norway.
