Kelli looks poised as ever💎 (but I’m just not even gonna bring up her bragging about the $ per game thing🙄).  But LOOOOORDIE, the dancing was sooooo primitive then!  The lame strutting around and such.  I’m reminded of TK’s comment: “The dances these days, they’re just so advanced.”  Yup, thank goodness.
Speaking of “primitive”… that Walk the Dinosaur routine was horrific. It didn’t help that I always hated that dumb song back in the 80’s. But that looked like a bad aerobics class gone wrong.  That being said, I actually enjoyed the Smooth Criminal routine!  One thing is clear, @ShellyB was a slayer & the 🌟!  Her showmanship really shined.  

That video 🫠 yikes!! There were nearly as many technically trained dancers back then…and for sure the style was different. SG consisted more of girls with entertainment stock and showmanship, some with more than training, definitely some with a look. We still laugh about Dinosaur…not one of my favs. That particular tour, the show was an abbreviated version of the normal SG show, so some of the more technical dances were not done.

Sadly there really isn't too much to discuss on here till audition season gets closer but, I just got done catching up with one of my friends who lives in Frisco/The Star area and I feel like I have to share!

*This is gossip I am sharing from someone who is very familiar with the day-to-day prodancer lifestyle in the DFW area so take it as you will!* 

They were explaining to me how you can better guess who is re-auditioning for the upcoming season and who is/has been giving a *tone up* warning. Besides having one of the DCC tell you what their plans are for next season, it is best to check their Instagram, specifically stories. The girls on the current team almost always know who is/isn't re-auditoning or who's on the fence (usually undecided based on status of injuries/relationship status/etc. So the ones who are planning on re-auditioning and/or have possibly gotten a weight warning are going to be posting on Instagram stories ALOT about working out/healthy eating/pilates/personal training/dance classes/meal prepping/etc. The red flags get bigger if they are posting about any of those things either using the well known DCC sponsors or are posting with other DCCs about these things. As soon as they explained it to me and I looked up some of the current DCCs who I have noticed fit this bill it totally adds up! TPTB have to have eyes on the girl's socials and if a DCC is on weight warning and posts that they are at an early morning F45 class with some of the calendar girls, it is like subliminally showing TPTB that they are working on *the problem*.

Also I just want to have it on record that if Victoria gets VOTY I am going to be sick. Obviously VOTY/ROTY are supposed to be peer voted awards and I do not have a say in it but personally I would rather see it go to literally anyone else. I do not hate Victoria, at this point as long as she doesn't try to teach "how to have an ED" I am indifferent towards her. But if she won VOTY for THIS SEASON I would not believe that it came from anyone other than Kelly/Judy/TPTB in honor of VK/Tina.

Please let me know whatever you think! I am currently stuck inside because of Year 3 of Dallaska and miss the discussions!

I don’t think that early morning f45 means all of them were on weight watch because atleast two of them have been training their for a while

I’m not saying everyone who goes to extra team workouts or posts about training has gotten a weight warning. I’m saying that it would make sense if the ones who are constantly posting about those types of things more recently are ones who have been given a weight warning. Again I don’t know who has/hasn’t gotten a weight warning recently for certain but some girls that came to mind who have been extra showy about those topics would be Ashlinn, Kleine, and Tori.

I think it will be such a small retiring group that any vet not on top of everything can be subject to be getting released

10000% agree! I am curious to see how the 1st and 2nd GL roles will end up for next season... If there are no major injuries, vet cuts, or vet retirements (apart from the 5-6 currently speculated) than the majority of the team would vets from the same rookie classes. Also with DCCs strengthen their ties to the Miss America organization and other college dance/pom programs there has to be a lot of talented people coming up!

I’d only seen 5 - has there been a sixth retirement speculated?

But I totally agree with y’all, I feel like this is going to be a really competitive year. In addition to lots of vets, some of the TCU girls who’ve been taking class with Jen for years are finally seniors and may be auditioning, and with Tori and her sister starting a college prep program, they’re really building a pipeline. I fully expect Holly to be in the mix, btw. I’m surprised she wasn’t last year.

I heard a rumor that she did audition last year but I have no idea how far into the process she went. Whether or not that's true I wouldn't be surprised to see her in the mix again in the future!

I think it is true if they are posting a lot on instragram stories about working out, or tagging DCC sponsers - like tanning or teeth etc. they are pretty much gearing up for audition season and will be re-auditioning.
 

Two years ago, the lack of posts on Amanda Dilks social media was a huge clue to me that some discontent was brewing there and she would not be back for a 3rd year. She came back to re-audition (despite my prediction) but then exited training camp fairly early, vax or no vax, you could tell she was conflicted about something.

There are a handful of DCC, however, that rarely use social media, so they remain a question mark. Kelee is one example that rarely posts any stories etc.

That’s what I thought! Very strange to me. I wonder if she was too sharp maybe? I remember thinking that about her style when I first saw her dance, but as she took class I think she’s softened up just a little.

So unlike becoming point, Pro Bowl is different because we don't know if the girl actually wanted to go to Pro Bowl.

You need to be able to be absent from work for a week for Pro bowl and not many people have the flexibility to do that.

My guess is only Kelcey and Jalyn became candidates for Pro bowl to begin with because all the others either had jobs (the 4th ad 5th years) or did not think would be picked (the 2nd and 3rd years).

So it's funny to say somebody was robbed because they weren't chosen for Pro Bowl, because we don't know if they wanted it in the first place.

I'm no expert, so don't quote me on this, but I would think it's ok as long as it doesn't interfere with their DCC responsibilities. Also keeps them in shape.

the pro bowl cheerleaders fly in the Monday before so they can rehearse and do appearances and then fly home the Monday after the game so it’s possible that certain ladies wouldn’t be able to do it

Love that she took on a charity gig, but that lighting and those costumes don't do anything for those girls. Weird shadows, bulky torsos, distorted panels of light on the faces...Madeline is gorgeous and I'm sure the other girls in the photo are as well but this is really unflattering.

I agree that they could be switched but the reason why I initially have Dani here is because she has been featured more in DCC promotional materials and as the point during the Christmas shows at The Star this pass year. Similar to Rachel W but I think Dani is better and comes across as more approachable than Rachel W.

Do the Jets' Flight Crew not exist anymore?  Off to the google...either that or I missed them entirely.  

I like the Dallas and Vegas uniforms the most too, but really just seeing all of the variety is fun.

Tyra seemed a bit checked out her second year,  but on the other hand, I respect those that do it well but don't feel the need to stay and let DCC world consume their entire life for 4-5 years.
