She can’t have a crew with her. Guess she just popped in on her own on a computer or something. 🤷‍♀️

That makes sense.  Thanks!

I’m not understanding why Whoopie can do this long interview but she can’t do the show.

What a giant waste of my time!!!

It appears that Sunny seems determined to take exception to anything Ana says, IMHO.

Sunny is out for a starting a fight before they are even on the air!

I think she believes she far superior than all of the co-hosts, but most likely to get challenged by Ana.

Sunny wants to be only lawyer there!

Joy wasn't any better today!  When she asked the first few questions, she never addressed anyone. So, everyone started talking over each other, and poor Yvette couldn't get a word in edgewise. Boo Joy...you should know better by now.

Yes i thought this was the best one since Monday.  What i don't get is since everyone is in their own homes, and everyone  is vacc, boo, assorted other.  If they  take they regime and i  guess we'll known soon.  But my point is why can't those out now, if they test negative, do a remote show. They're just sitting for an hour chatting. Yada yada yada yes thank you All the Crew!

I was fine with Sunny countering Ana's comparison of the Clintons. It's true they do know how to milk the base, too, as Ana said, although I don't think it's ever been quite to the same extent for it to be an equal comparison. Part of me still feels that Sunny and Sara are probably being pushed to add sparks in the absence of a conservative co-host, but if it's actually genuine rather than an act, I would be more concerned. On its own, she does come off a bit mean at times in the manner she responds.

Sunny is definitely determined to be heard though. I think twice this week she kept going until the other people speaking simply stopped and gave her the air, and once she jumped in when Joy was trying to go to Yvette first. I'm not as bothered as others here are by her though.

I was happy to see Whoopi....she looked good & seemed to be in good spirits.   I got a kick out of what she was doing: listening to audiobooks & opening her Xmas presents and she watched the Ball drop on NYE, the "one with all the stuff going on", lol, so we know she was watching Andy & Anderson :)

Being attractive helps a lot! But it isn't everything - think of Bernie Madoff, who scammed people out of millions for years!

That's because he is a man. I don't think a  non attractive woman of his age would be taken as seriously.

Regarding Elizabeth Holmes it is absolutely the fact she was an attractive woman that she was able to do the con for so long.  It's not a coincidence that it was men she initially conned into investigating.   I remember reading the book about the whole thing and her claim that a single drop of blood could diagnose a long list of diseases and thinking get the fuck out of here.   Even I knew that was bullshit.

Maybe not a single drop of blood, but they are successfully testing a blood test that can potentially find multiple types of cancers..even those that are generally found too late for success (eg pancreatic, ovarian).  So not complete bs.

I'm not defending Sunny because, in my opinion, she does come across as acting a little superior and/or snide at times, but I wonder if she is feeling a sense of "freedom" to speak her mind the last few days because Whoopi isn't there.  We've seen Whoopi shut Sunny down quite often, so now, Sunny may be feeling that Whoopi isn't there to shut her down, she's going to get all her words in, regardless of anyone else.

Sunny does, at times, go on and on and on, sort of like another former co-host, who was always allowed to speak all her words, too.

I just don't like when Sunny gets after Ana for all the problems with the Republican party and that partiy's members, especially when she knows Ana does disagree with the actions of many other Republicans - it sometimes seems like she is baiting Ana to create some fireworks or something.  And, even moreso, it bothers me because Sunny rarely did that with that other former Republican co-host.

Could be! I agree with you about arguing with Ana, since Ana often disagrees with most of what is being discussed as much as Sunny does.

I'm not a huge fan of Ana's however I agree with everything you said.  Sunny seems to want a foe and Ana is a convenient target.  But as you said when she had a co host who deserved to have Sunny's frustration turned on her it didn't happen.

It is rude though.  Especially cutting into Yvette's time.  She didn't even apologize.

As I have said before I will shocked if Sunny is on the View next season.

I wonder if some of this is producer driven?  I mean we do know that Sunny laid off MM because she was basically told if it came down to a choice it would not be Sunny who'd be kept on the show.  Makes me wonder if the producers are now telling her she needs to up her game and become the attack dog of the show.

Although I think Sunny has a chip on her shoulder recently I was glad she objected to Melania being compared to Hillary.  Hillary is well educated and has a long resume serving the country and the only visible resume I have seen for dropout Melania is her porn pics.  I thought Ana showed ignorance in trying to use the what about between Trump and Clinton.

I don't see any difference in Sunny if Whoopi is or is not there.

Sunny is ready for a fight regardless! She would rather be right than happy.

I'm still enjoying this week. Even though it would be better to have them in-studio, I completely understand the reasons why not; even if Whoopi and Sara weren't sick or exposed, I would still understand it with cases up right now. YNB's dog at the end was so cute!

I agreed with them all in support of teachers. Ana probably made the best point of the four that superintendents and school boards should be navigating the divide, not politicians who the majority of which are only concerned about how any particular event will affect their ability to be re-elected rather than what is right and what is wrong.

I actually don't think Sunny is "attacking" Ana all (I realize the quote didn't say attack, but I've seen a few comments with that implication).   She and Ana have a good respectful relationship.  I think she pushes because she knows she can without it becoming nasty and personal and she wants someone to try to "defend" the republican position.   She's done the same towards most of the conservative co-hosts so far.    And Ana doesn't seem to mind at all and is always up to the task to state her opinion.

And she did do the same with MM early on, but we saw what happened when MM was challenged.   MM would counter with strawman arguments, and shout over everyone with blue card talking points.  Sunny got tired of arguing with a toddler and stopped.   I don't know if Sunny was told they'd chose MM over her (although I wouldn't be surprised it they did).   It was pretty obvious that production had some conversations with the ladies on how they should interact with MM.

I don't see Sunny being overly aggressive in her push back of what Ana says.  She automatically goes into prosecutor mode when there's a serious topic and I think she appreciates that Ana can debate without throwing a tantrum.

In my county yes, school board members are elected. Superintendent is someone who is hired for the position.  I personally think school board members should be teachers, or at least someone with some sort of knowledge of the education system.   I hate to see curriculums becoming political.  And increasingly more and more parents and teachers on opposite sides with the kids caught in the middle.

Seriously, two VERY different women, even if you ignore those pictures. Can you imagine if a First Lady of color worked here illegally, lied about having a degree, lied about being fluent in many languages, wore an "I really don't care, do you?" jacket to visit to visit migrant kids, said she thinks sexual assault victims must have evidence, freaked out over the mere mention of her son's name but refuse to condemn bullying of Greta Thunberg, oh and also brought her parents here using chain migration when none of them brought skills or work? I highly doubt certain people would be going ah what a graceful, classy First Lady!

Protocol would require Biden to refer to him as President Trump (not just DJT), but putting those two words together is probably distasteful to him.  Also narcissists often google their own names a lot, so "former president" is like saying he who will not be named.

I think there’s no good solution here.  I understand the teachers (I come from a family of them).  However, there were huge issue with a large number of kids who couldn’t navigate virtual learning. Not to mention what joy noted regarding two working parents who simply can’t be home to oversee school in the home.  It’s really a rock and a hard place…what holds the least risk?  In my state everyone who works in a school has to be vaccinated so we aren’t seeing this kind of pushback.

He actually addresse this today.  He said he didn’t use his name as he didn’t want it to be Biden vs Trump.

Part of the issue with the Chi schools (which was mentioned on the show) is that testing for kids isn’t mandatory. Teachers (and parents for that matter) have no idea which kids are sick. Teachers are afraid.

I have a hard time believing She of many tongues will go back to DC for four more ysars.  She maybe the saving grace.

I feel so bad for Sunny.  To be basically told you're second best even though you've there for years more than the new chick.  Most every job I've had i felt very loyal too.  It hurts to think TPTB considers you  piece of shit

At the end of the show Joy brought up the Pope saying people having pets and not kids was selfish. She threw it to Yvette and said she would say something after Yvette.  But after Yvette spoke Sunny started speaking and Joy did not look happy.

I can believe Dick Cheney showing up to support his daughter, but I don't believe for a minute that he would do anything to "improve" his image. He's never cared before, when he helped do some despicable things like "enhanced" interrogation.

I agree with Yvette.  My life goal as I get older is to be Golden Girl.  I would have no problem spending my senior years living with women (or gay men) and enjoying life.  Sunny might think that wouldn't work for her but she is wrong to say that it's not realistic because we are sexual beings and we need to get our groove on.  You can still do that without being married or living with someone.

Yeah, I disagree with Sunny. I do think a group dynamic like The Golden Girls (or Will & Grace for that matter) could exist with the right people involved. Some people--like Sunny--couldn't do it because as soon as a relationship enters the picture, they either drop their friends or cause drama with them in some way. But Sunny wants a monogamous, romantic relationship more than other things, so I mean... This would never work for her, she's right about that, but as for being impossible for everyone, not so much.

Overall, I thought this was the only dud this week. They didn't really talk much because of so many guests--which are even more horrible when they're remote than their live interviews would be. Poor Ana, I hope she'll be alright.

Yeah, I can think of a lot of reasons why a woman might not want to remarry or live with a man. (With the assumption that Sunny meant a romantic relationship with a man.). Remember when they were talking about marrying an older man and having to be his nurse?  Platonic friends living together for expenses, companionship, whatever would be less burdensome.

Agree. It is wonderful to have a romantic love, but the most important thing is just to have love around you period. That could be siblings, girlfriends, gay male friends, whoever. And I know this isn't Sunny, but a lot of the time the people who put all their time and energy into their partner can end up very lonely at some point. It's like some people forget you can end up divorced or widowed. If you work on maintaining your friendships, you'll never be alone. :)

And yes, single people oftentimes have more sex than those who are "boo'd up."

I heard that too, but she may have meant "negative" as in bad - a positive result. She looked like she hadn't gotten enough sleep, so her brain may have been foggy.

Ana has likely been tested hundreds of times and knows the difference between negative and positive results.

Even if she was tired, the producers heard it and should have corrected it.

Yes. Sunny should have said I couldn't do it but if others can more power to them.  This is another example of her thinking what she thinks is the right way. And let's not forget men usually die younger than women so what are older women supposed to do?  Find a new husband? Live with their adult children?  Live alone?

Yeah, I thought the way she shutdown Yvette was a little unnecessary. I don't like to add fuel to the fire where it comes to the criticism of Sunny because I definitely do not want her going anywhere, she's great on this show 90% of the time, but I agree. I wonder if possibly she feels sort of threatened by Ana or YNB, which would be weird since neither of them want to be a part of the show full-time because of their living arrangements blocking them from doing so. Which is a massive shame, but it is what it is.

Ana had said yesterday that it only takes her two hours to fly to NY though, that's pretty good. If they still filmed Friday's show on Thursday's like in the past, that would have been an easy way for her to be there for two shows a week.
