These writers really tickle me when they screw up character ages. I can't tweet to the actor now since I'm blocked on Twitter at the moment, but when the week is up I will surely post to him how wrong this all is. Well, it's not the actor's fault. A job is a job. And minors are likely subject to labor laws that older actors aren't. 1 4 Link to comment

But he shouldn't have taken the role and should have told them, "Hey, you'd think you'd cast someone who looks the character's age as he should be now?", but that's IF he knew the history of what he even doing. I doubt he even knows much of the L&O: SVU lore and when his character was born to be nit-picky with the continuity like this. I sure would if I was him and had the knowledge I have. 2 hours ago, CrystalBlue said: Adding that in the history of filmmaking, movies and television, as well as on the stage, actors are not required by any law or moral obligation to be the exact same age as the character they portray. No one is saying they have to be the same age but at least look the part. Even for a fifteen year old the dude looks of legal age and having the character mess around with a nineteen year old young lady did not help matters much. They cast a seventeen year old to play this character and the writing makes it seem like they wish the character was pushing adulthood. I hate that the writers feel the need to go above and beyond with things that's not necessary. They could have made Eli thirteen and still given him some good storylines. Not age him up and cast a near-adult in the role so they can pass off having Eli do adult-ish things. -_- Edited December 31, 2021 by TotalDrama 1 Link to comment

And I think enough has been said about actors' ages. Let's return to the content of the episode itself now, please. 3 Link to comment

FozzyBear March 21, 2022 Share March 21, 2022 I’m just now catching up on this so I just watched. I spent the whole episode screaming “Get the kid a lawyer!” At no point did it seem like Eli had a lawyer. Even when he was confessing to Elliot and Olivia I was screaming at them to interrupt him and ask “Before you say another word, answer honestly, do you need a lawyer? Remember whatever you tell us isn’t privileged.” I get Elliot not doing it because of dad and Elliot reasons. But Olivia? You’re a cop! You knew he needed a lawyer 30 seconds into that conversation. 3 Link to comment
christie July 18, 2022 Share July 18, 2022 I spent the whole episode mumbling "why is Olivia even there?" If I were Eliot's son, I wouldn't be glad to see her either. I'm not a Christopher Meloni fan but I thought that he was very good in the scene with Eli in the interrogation room. It was nice to see Raúl again, even if it was for two seconds. Link to comment
