I can't believe the number of contestants tonight who chose terrible boring audition songs. Do they even watch the show? I understand staying in your comfort zone because the judges hear nerves but you have to show range. The one guy (Mandy?) was lucky Blake turned for him. 

Country singer Pitcher guy never performed in front of an audience. Decent voice but nervous and no control. Well I'm a pitcher was his explanation to the judges on the no audience experience. I get what he's saying but ya not the same thing. This season...

While they've gotten a little better, I still do NOT understand why they insist on showing us the entire audition (including sobby backstory) of someone who then comes out and sings wildly off key while continuing to montage people who were actually selected to be on this show.  The minute they opened their mouths, you knew pitcher guy and brain girl weren't going to be picked.

I watched more of this than I could have imagined. Mostly out of disbelief--over these performances and the cheesy, cringy crap between UghBlake and the rest of the cast.
