Keep Michael Darby off my screen. He comes off as creepy, even while holding his new born. I don't want to see him panting after Juan, or patting himself on the back for going without sex while ash is postpartum (bj's don't count, doncha know?), or slithering around rubbing up on people. If ash has to go to get rid of him...bye girl.

Wendy is so sexually charged...except for with her husband. The attention she seeks isn't his...not directly anyway. She's reinforcing to herself, and him, that other people find her desirable. If everybody wants you (anybody else hear Billy squire there?), surely your man will recognize how lucky he is you stay with him. I could be wrong, but this is the vibe I get.

Mia may have worked the pole in her early days, but later she moved on to being an escort and I believe there was no pole in that particular establishment. Her old man husband seems tired and ready to move to Florida with Ray. Too bad they have kids that won't graduate high school until he's 80. 

Candyass thinks she's so coy and cute. The junior high crowd finds her to be a master manipulator. 

Robyn, I'd say Juan not being attracted to you because you sleep too much is a red flag, but you'd only fly it proudly with all the others...maybe glitter glue it on a hat.

This is why I think that they weren't that close of friends to begin with, because I don't care what Gizelle says, that was not a 'joke'. She was being downright nasty. If Karen was the kind of person to find it funny, then it was way too soon to make that kind of joke. She would be no friend of mine. She didn't come to support, she came to clown. I just watched the season 3 reunion when Karen broke down. She was right. They weren't interested in supporting. They just cared about being messy. 

With that said, I find it very sad the pure glee that some of the housewives have in exposing and discussing marital problems. All of these black queens are mothers/stepmothers, and love to bash a black family doing the best they can. It's across the board. With as hard as Ashley went at Robyn in season 1, I would think that Robyn would appeal to Gizelle to dial it back a bit. But that is Gizelle's and Ashley's assignment, so that's what they will do. Personally, even though this is how I provided for them, I would hate for my kids to grow up and watch me on the show taking pleasure and making it my job to put down another woman and her husband. 

As for Wendy, I believe we just might be seeing the real Wendy. Yes she's an academic, but not the straight-laced bookworm that people want to believe. Otherwise, she would not have signed up for and stayed on a Bravo housewives show.

I hate Michael but loved Dean and Dillion (?) being so cute in that scene together. 

Candiace's (what I assume) spare bedroom with her clothes still in the garbage bags from the move stressed me out. She has such cute clothes-make unpacking them a priority!

Karen needs to get over it or find something else because honestly to me what Ray said to Gizelle is way worse then what Gizelle said about him. Plus what she said is pretty accurate about him too. Ray had/has such backwards thinking.

Michael gets grosser every time I see him. He was never anything good to begin with but he’s aging horribly. Ashley should be ashamed she’s bringing innocent children into that mess. Hopefully those kids don’t turn out like their gross predatory dad.

The whole "respectability" debate has been going on forever.  It's the hair styles the outfits, the makeup.   

I feel like all this was first an issue with the rise of computers.    A lot of people were extremely intelligent but non conformist.  Especially women in the field. 

So, I dont know why Wendy thinks this is some kind of ground breaking discussion. It really isn't.

I agree with you. I just think that Wendy's first season, her producer told her to really play up her 4 degrees business. That's the story that they wanted us to believe. Now that she is finished with plastic surgery, now her storyline is tell the people that you can be both. It is not ground breaking, but it's easy for the other ladies to come at her from that angle. It's all about a story in the end. As Ashley said, she went from Wendy 4 degrees to Mrs. Wendy if you're nasty. Wendy is just another woman looking to collect her check from Bravo.

It's interesting seeing all the criticism of Wendy's wardrobe.  It's as if there a notion a person has to dress the same way they started out dressing on the show.  Wendy started filming her first season shortly after she had a baby so she was going through physical changes at the time and probably was more covered up than usual anyway.  I could very easily see Dorit in some of the things Wendy has been wearing and I don't think she'd be criticized for it.

seriously she can wear whatever she wants it just seems like she got a lobotomy between seasons. Like her IQ plummeted by 100 points. She suddenly got stupid on a simple business plan and the basic things you would need? She slapped a candle in a box and thought yup that’s all you gotta do?  

Like I wouldn’t be surprised if my favorite color is clear came out of her mouth at some point this season.

Wendy is baffling this season - it is as of she had 100 IQ points surgically removed during the hiatus. One would think that she would have used the platform to further goals that used her very real intellectual and theoretical communication abilities. Instead her goal is to be a doyenne of home stuff when there has never been any indication that she had this domestic passion or talent. And she manifests it by wanting to peddle candles which is oversaturated. Anyone with her academic/intellectual background would know the rudiments of starting a business - she acted as if she had never heard of anything called a business plan or a mission statement which is the first thing one does.

The only housewife who really built an empire was Bethenny and Skinny Girl Margaritas was a logical extension of who she was on the show. She was her target aspirational audience and she inserted the brand even before it became a brand. While we didn't see it, I have no doubt that Bethenny had set it up as a business using lawyers and finance people.

Wendy was even less *smart* about business than Sonja with her toaster oven idiocy. And again, Wendy's brand is being a smart woman while Sonja's brand was being a ditz. I just don't understand how Wendy thinks that acting like a ditz and focusing on plastic surgery enhanced boobs and asses makes her a more "valuable" housewife.

Wendy reminds me of the girl in school who was smart and then started acting more like the bimbos to be elected prom queen when in truth, she had a better chance at being prom queen the way she was because people respected her more.

Howives with plastic surgery are a dime a dozen...not many of them were professors at prestigious academic institutions. 

Her outfit on the bus looked incredibly uncomfortable and cold on what was an overcast and probably freezing day. Wendy looked like she was going to the beach in Cancun rather than Williamsburg. 

Can someone explain to me why in the Hell Juan ejaculating inside of Robyn would make Wendy drop it like it's hot? Robyn and her ain't tight like that.

This is an interesting point that you make.  I think that had it JUST been the wardrobe that may have been one thing (I think the bus look was just bad, like just really bad, IMO - I can't imagine who I'd think that looks good on) but Wendy is like changing everything.  From the rooter to the tooter as they say!

Its not just the clothes, its the confounding ignorance and bad decision making, its the screaming catch phrases and this focus on presenting herself as almost wholly a one dimensional person that is jarring

Wendy last season was of the cool and intelligent analysis.  She, with Robyn calmly explained why Monique was full of shit to her face.  Now she is out here trying to make 'TICK TOCK BITCH, I GOT TIME" happen.  I barely heard any explanation about how or why she thought Mia was in the wrong, it was like 0-100. 

Wendy last season was intelligent and thoughtful.  Now she doesn't know that you need to register a business?  She doesn't know you need a business plan if you want to be the black Martha Stewart?  She literally just bought some random candles and put them in a box?  She didn't even do a google search?  Karen has ZERO degrees and managed to figure out perfume and wigs, Wendy is a doctor with four degrees and doesn't know to ask someone how you start a small business.  

Wendy's candles are such an aggressively bad idea that its almost like failing at this business is strategic and all part of a storyline because it makes no sense.  

And its the personality change.  Its not just the skimpy clothes, if Wendy wore skimpy clothes and was the same person, I think it would be like "oh, okay!"  But everytime she walks into a room, she is talking about her tits or shaking her ass.  And both of these are totally fine, and I understand that people can be both thoughtful and introspective AND willing to drop it like its not (As a gemini I know all about dual personalities) but we like almost never saw any part of this with Wendy last year.  Even when she was being silly, there wasn't....almost this hypersexualization.  like"hey i walked in a room, look at my ass in these shortie shorts!"

Notice how totally disappointed we all confess to feeling about our reality shows when the main motivation of each individual becomes their storyline in their effort to cling to their apple, orange, peach, diamond, etc...?  The good ole days of The Real Housewives were when what hooked us to begin with were the organic human dynamics at play between several women.  (Okay, with a little real estate porn, fashion porn, decoratin porn thrown in!)

I miss the old days, too. I'm just starting to watch this season and don't know if I'll have the attention span to see it through.

I think Wendy is an intelligent, educated woman who likely thought she could come on and "win" at the Housewives game. She was gonna figure out how to play a version of herself and become a staaaah of the show, yet keep her respectability so she could continue at Johns Hopkins. When lot of people found first-season Wendy boring or annoying, she decided to go for a FULL makeover and become just another typical Housewife with a catch-phrase and a product to peddle. At least if she gets the boot she gets to keep the new body. And she still has FOUR degrees.

Finally got to finish the last few minutes of Sunday’s eppy….

While I was furious with the balls of Beaky Buzzard telling Mia that she’s taking her room just to be close to her puppet master, I was just as annoyed at Mia sitting there like Casper Milquetoast after she did it!  Even Beaky’s friend Alabama (tm Alexander Rodgers) was looking at her like, jigga what?!

‘It’s all love’ my ass!  I wish a bitch would pull shit like that at me….if I were Mia not only would I have kept the room but I would have said I wouldn’t have had a problem trading it if you had just asked me like a fucking human being!

Karen, Gizzard did not wish death upon Ray!  There.  That’s the one positive thing I’ll ever say about Gizzard.  Now, while that might have been four years ago, ‘Free Uncle Ben’ was three years ago and that’s something Karen should still be pissed about.  Gizzard took a personal situation her friend was going through and put it on blast…that’s why I cheered Karen on when she attacked with the Reverend Leon Lonnie Love Bryant and his ‘living in his cell phone’.  Gizzard talks shit about other HW’s families, but hers is off limits?  GTBFOH!!  It’d be a cold day in Hell before I’d apologize to that heiffa.

I feel like this show is unnecessarily overproduced this season. Even Robyn telling Mia that she was switching rooms seems like an idea fed by a producer to start a fight so that they can accuse Gizelle and Robyn of being so far up each other's @$$ that they have to stay in adjoining rooms. Because really? You are in the sam house, is it really that important for you to be on the same floor? They were hoping for a fight to undo all the good work they did on their little lunch outing without Karen.

Nene was also from Atlanta, which is the capital of the strip club, where you're either a stripper or frequent the strip club.  Atlanta is known for entertainment and most of the cast members on the show had some connection to entertainment or sports (which is a form of entertainment).

RHOP's original premise was bougie/wanna be bougie women.  Being a loud and proud stripper doesn't really fit that.  I don't see Mia being ashamed for her past but being a loud and proud stripper is probably not something she wants to highlight; she would rather highlight being a mom and running a business.

At the same time, I don't see Mia particularly being "hurt" if this group of women or trying to change herself if the group doesn't accept her.  That's the difference between her and Monique: Monique was (is) desperate & dehydrated to be accepted by others and I don't see that level of desperation and dehydration with Mia yet.

Right.  Notice her boobs weren't busting out during the scene with him.  They're popping fresh for other people.  Maybe Wendy seeking attention from other people instead of him is why he was allegedly stepping out on her.

Because Wendy's wardrobe is ridiculous.  Why does she think the other women on the show want to see her bowling ball boobs and ass cheeks in ridiculous at every filming? If we want to keep it all the way real, Wendy should be mad at MONIQUE instead of Gizelle because the blog MONIQUE was a frequent guest on (and who played a huge part in the Candiace smear campaign) is the one who started talking about Eddie cheating.  Don't forget, Monique had a tab on Wendy in her binder, too.

Just like Monique got mad at Gizelle for bringing up the trainer rumors and beat up Candiace for ??? instead of getting mad at Gigi for starting the rumor in the first place, Wendy got smoke for Gizelle instead of bringing that smoke to Monique who most likely brought that rumor to the blog and who is also not on the show anymore.

Yes, that scene was embarrassing to watch. I can't even call this a side hustle. This is a no-hustle. That's information that could've been easily googled. Someone upthread wrote that Eddie has a business degree and practices tax law? Sis, you have a built-in consultant and colleagues you could've asked, and you want to writhe around with your new body and act like a dunderhead? I don't find stupidity, especially playing up stupidity, to be cute. Just because it worked for Jessica Simpson doesn't mean it should be emulated.

And not to put too fine a point on it, it sends an awful message when a person "becomes prettier" and acts stupid.

Gizelle had always low-key shaded him in her talking heads but that was the first time she really showed distain for him publicly to Karen's face. And no matter what folks may think about Karen and Ray's relationship, Karen rides for Ray publicly, even in those years where she was complaining about how much attention he was giving her. 

I can't wait to see how much grace Gizelle demands from Karen next season, when the story of Jamal's tax issues become part of the storyline...

That's Jamal's tax issues, not Gizelle's tax issues.  Gizelle will not be paying Jamal's tax bills like Karen was paying Ray's.

Apparently, Candiace and Mia were commenting about room-gate with Candiace expressing surprise to Mia for putting up with Beaky kicking her out of the room chosen for her.

Mia’s response – “I thought it would be nice to share some luxury with those who may not get to experience it at home often.”

Now THIS?  Makes me love Mia even more!

Who was Mia trying to kid when talking to her kid about how much she works?  She was talking like she was a struggling single mom working two jobs to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. Even if she had said the reason she had to work was to show her kids a good work ethic, I could have at least pretended that was something.  But to say she's doing it for her kids, when her kids already have every need met and most wants too, it's just absurd.  And then on top of it all, to get her kid, the one who apparently is feeling neglected, to cosign her delusion?  That's bullshit.

I also thought it was pretty disingenuous that they were acting like her mom just couldn't be bothered to drive 20 minutes to be with them, when maybe it's the cameras keeping her away?  Shockingly, not everyone likes to have their business out on the Bravo street.

There was a movie called Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion where they pretended to be important businesswomen by putting on suits.

That feels on par with what Mia is doing.

She is doing some kind of girl boss cosplay...the way Camille Grammer pretended to be a "producer".

I would be curious to see what she actually knows about 14 franchises she is supposedly "runs".

I get this, but there is a difference between what happens IRL and what happens on the show. Gizelle brought it up on camera. Once that happens that makes it "real". If the off camera blog postings don't get reported on camera, its like they never happened.

Wendy can both be mad at Monique (for not controlling her people???) in real life, and be pissed at Gizelle for bringing something up on camera that doesn't need to be discussed. And trust me, the Bravo producers would shut Wendy down in a moment if she started going on about "this is all Monique's fault" when she is no longer on the show.

Maybe she is smart enough to realize her gravy train days as trophy wife have an expiration date on them. Maybe there is trouble in paradise we haven't seen yet. We've seen other wealthy, married HWs also work hard to continue to have a life for themselves "just in case", so hopefully Mia is one of them too. 

Regardless of their often time ridiculous reasoning, I'll never knock a HW for keeping their day-job going in the background while filming this nonsense. I think that's why Wendy is so disappointing overall this season, she's tossing away alot for some cameras and candles. I'm sure a few seasons in Mia will follow suit but for now she's a pretty refreshing distraction from the usual BS of this show.
