Leah reconnects with her siblings for the first time since their grandmother's funeral, and Eboni and her potential sister, Ashley, receive their DNA results. Later on, the ladies get glammed up for Luann's music video shoot, where the truth about Sonja's birthday hookup is revealed.

This episode shows that it's The OGs who carry the show.  The best segments were with Ramona, Luann, Sonja.

Leah and her family were BORING.  Eboni search for her father borders Melissa Gorga, who tries to come up with a story line for camera time.

But how real was that? We have all done that with friends when we find out one of our group is stretching the truth. She was caught in a lie and they were talking about it. It was as real and relatable has they have been in a long long time

With friends like them, who needs enemies?  Leah is sneaky pretending to be a friend to Sonja, getting her dirt, than talking about her the next morning with all of them.  Why did she bring the dog, for attention as usual?  
Ramona may be ditsy, but knows how businesses are run.  Sonja pretends to be a business woman, but is getting ripped off .  How many of her businesses have failed?  She is acting nut lately and being a clown to secure her Apple for next season.  How will she pay her bills if not renewed?

That Christmas song take was a calamity.  All running around as usual .. eating, drinking, yelling, talking about each other, the usual mess.  Ebony sure can put it away.  Guess she doesn’t eat at home.  I’m liking Bershan more and more as she’s genuine.  Ebony brings nothing, but does like to gossip, but at least she stopped with the preaching.  The rest I’ve forgotten.

P.S.  Ramona, LuAnn and Sonja keep this show going.  Without them, I think it would be a bust.  The dresses were gorgeous.  Plus the ambience.

Love how Sonja’s quack Healer took all the things the Salem medium said and ran with it in their session. Also love how seriously Sonja took the medium’s strong recommendation that Sonja get her ass into deep deep therapy ASAP…with a PhD.   So what does Miss Morgan do?  Calls her non-doctorate healer.  The drum and bells and stones make me think that woman lost her gig teaching music play to infants and toddlers at a “Mommy & Me” class.  I couldn’t follow Sonja’s “business” meeting.  I do think that guy is a tiny bit shady, but when dealing with someone as Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs as Sonja, it’s gotta be reaally hard to not take advantage of the situation. No words for Sonja’s drunken stupor fake one night stand with Dylan (aka “Mr. Right Now”).  If Sonja is not going to take control of her own life and clean it up, then she will always be taken advantage of, and continue to be a sad clown to her so-called friends to laugh at.

Leah’s brother quietly standing in the middle of her apartment for 2 minutes was 10 times more interesting than anything Leah has said or done in 2 seasons. Why did Leah have to bring her pet rat to the video shoot?  She may not take it seriously, but for Luann it is.  I’d say ‘have some respect’, but…it’s Leah. So yah. Not gonna happen.

Why did Eboni need the DNA company rep to take her swab??  Especially during COVID? Everyone I know who’s done a 23 & Me or Ancestry test managed to spit into the tube and seal it themselves.  And why won’t Eboni’s mom tell her who her father is? Maybe she doesn’t know? Or maybe she was a rape victim, and doesn’t want to burden Eboni with that?

How embarrassing for Sonja to be going to a mans room at age 57 and pretending that they had sex. Telling LuAnn that she couldn’t walk like its a badge of honor. That guy might have been handsome but cringeworthy being on the show and his Insta story. 🤮  Ramona and Lu were gleeful that she didn’t get laid. They all seem so desperate for any attention from a man.  
Ramona might understand business better than Sonja but I didn’t see any real help happening. Sonja needs her lawyer or accountant to look over the books and see that she cashes her checks. 
The Sonja mess was better than any scene with Leah and her goofy sister. The brother didn’t seem as awful despite his unfortunate mustache. They all look almost anorexic.

As much as how  incredibly low my opinion is of Sonja in general, I really think that making a planned, repetitive mission of the mockery of her was just so, so, shitty.  There is NO WAY anyone can claim to be any kind of friend and be so gleefully involved in that.  Unlike the defenses above, I think that is just incredibly bad, low-class behavior.  (Which, granted, is on-point for these women.)  I mean, there wasn't even anything in particular they were trying to GET BACK at Sonja for, they just wanted to spend the night enjoying treating her like garbage and belittling her specifically for the benefit of the viewers they knew would be watching - it was practically orgasmic for them.  So gross.

But like it or not Friends do that.. you gossip among your friend group about others in your group ,... it doesn't mean you arnt friends... you can never say you didn't find something out about a friend and make fun of it ...EVERYONE has ... its just human behavior anyone who says they have never done it isnt telling the truth .. they wernt being mean in it they were smirking because they knew she was full of shit and digging herself in to the lie deeper

 

go back and watch when they thought she was telling the truth at that table before the video shoot they were happy for her excited joyful ... then they found out she was lying and kept making the lie bigger

I am having my brother over for dinner so I am going to wear a mesh shirt with a bra underneath, that seems a little strange.  Brother Leah looks like the cowboy from the Village People.  Sister Leah is looking so skinny, like extra skinny.  Leah can annoy me just standing still.

Also, Ramona on WWWHHLWL with Andy was wearing a beautiful caftan, was that one of Asa's (of Shah's of Sunset alumn?).

 

All these goings on is why I usually watch this show twice.  There’s always so much calamity going on at once that you can’t hear everything or see what they are doing with these ninnies.  Dogs running around, Sonja screaming, Ramona interrupting, etc.  I don’t get the caviar thing either, or Dylan and the girlfriend.

I think the caviar was supposed to be the caviar Sonja had taken to the hotel with the, um … escort guy, and had supposedly eaten which was why they kept asking her about the caviar she had eaten. To hear her lie again. That’s about as much as I got from it all… obviously huge gaps in my understanding of the situation!

Sonja never ever refrains from taking digs at Luann. This has been going on forever. Sonja often takes digs at Ramona. She does this to the two of them, both to their faces and behind their backs, to any other cast mate who will listen and feel sorry for poor Sonja. She obviously resents that they are in better financial shape than she is. The inconvenient fact is that Sonja could have been the wealthiest of all had she not been such a jackass about money. Sonja seems to think that if one goes into a business, money rains down despite putting any real effort in. She can’t even be bothered to cash the checks she does receive. How lazy and entitled.

I get all this, I do, and it's fair.  I think Sonja is a pretty awful human being.  I think in the race to the bottom she's actually my least favorite on the show (although her and Ramona are usually jockeying for that position).  I think this just crossed a line for me somehow, though.  I don't think that digs or jerky behavior is the same as this sort of using random unknown sources to specifically make someone look foolish over and over for entertainment purposes.  YMMV

It’s insulting!’ Something like that, so she didn’t cash it.  Either way, that guy and his backup were both shady and on the defensive as soon as Ramona mentioned her business credentials.  He’s definitely ripping her off.  I don’t feel bad for her though. If she didn’t learn her lesson from the movie fiasco, it’s her own fault.

I'm impressed with how beautiful these women look this season. Ramona, LuAnn and Eboni got it right. Even Leah looked great this episode. I still get Phyllis Diller vibes with Sonja's new look, though. Must be the thin, long nose. 

Ramona is a ditz but don't mess with her money. Reminds me of something Oprah said a long time ago about celebs or anybody in general when accountants and financial advisors have control of your $$$ and you are all of a sudden  hit with tax liens and owing the IRS $$$$$. Don't trust people with your money.  Check your own books, write your own checks, know where your money is and where it's going.

Agreed. Sonja is always sticking a knife in Luann and Ramona in order to make herself look more like the "poor, poor abused Sonja". She hates when they have anything good in their lives - though making fun of her aside, I don't remember seeing scenes of Lu and Ramona be anything but happy for Sonja if she has something good happen to her. They all take their digs at one another, but Sonja weaponizes it to make them feel lousy when they've got something good (when Lu was being happy about Garth, Sonja shit all over it).

But Sonja did this same thing earlier in the season, and in perhaps a worse way, when she told Eboni that Ramona lied about being friends with Black people and only posted pics of those friendships on social media to make herself look good. I don't actually dispute Sonja's argument, and in fact agreed with her at the time, but she was determined to make Ramona look foolish to ingratiate herself with Eboni.

Yep. Ramona has historically been my least favorite, but in these last couple years Sonja has perhaps edged her out of that spot. Of the three I think she is 💯 the worst at being a "good" friend to the other women. I use the word good advisedly because none of them are really good at it because they, each and every one of them, need to be the center of the universe in any space they occupy. That is the number one agenda for each person on this show, so when that comes up against friendship? And I'd add that Sonja, because of her precarious financial situation has the added complication of envy eating her from the inside out.

Definitely. Ramona reminds me of Janice Dickinson sometimes. Both are acquired tastes and I wouldn't break any appointments to meet either one, but when they're in their element, discussing business in Ramona's case, or the fashion industry (Janice), that's when the wheels start turning and they sound like human beings with good sense and not cartoons. 

Sonja's business associates, and I'm using that term loosely, are clearly shady, but so is Sonja, so I'm not all that sympathetic. 

I've said this before, but while there's a lot to say about Bethenny, there's a reason why she's the most financially successful housewife. Skinnygirl wasn't a hustle for her. It's a business that she dedicated her life to. The rest of these ladies just have passion projects every season that you never hear about again. 

I did laugh when Leah said that Luann's video is Luann's version of the what the afterlife looks like to her. Wearing gowns, eating caviar, drinking champagne, and singing off-key is not a bad way to spend eternity, really.

I have to agree with you.  If someone in my friend group said they slept with someone and was bragging that they couldn’t walk the next day and we found out it wasn’t true we would all be talking.  It seems nasty but I have to be honest.  I think it is human nature to gossip.  I need Dylan’s Instagram for details.

In my opinion Sonja has been particularly nasty to Ramona this year.  Just during this episode she kept asking if Dylan was Ramona’s swim instructor or tennis coach.  Then trying to say that William wanted her because when she met him his zipper was already open and that she wants more of a challenge.  Blah, blah, blah…

I’m sorry I know many disagree and I respect that.  It’s just my opinion.  I have not been the biggest fan of Ramona over the years but I think she has been picked on and made fun of this year.  Probably because of Leah and Eboni, but Sonja seemed to have joined forces with their gang up.

I would NOT be happy if somebody lied about sleeping with me.  In fact, I would be downright livid. Sonja is not engaged in good behaviour.

Right? If anyone should retire from reality TV it should be Sonja. She's out of control and it almost seems cruel to keep her on when she's drunk, screaming at people and now lying about having sex with some random dude. She needs to go to rehab and get into therapy. And she needs to stay away from any business propositions...she's a mark for predatory deals and dealers.

Leah brings her dog to the video shoot, bizarre.  I'm waiting for Leah to 'protect' the dog's rights when all the paperwork re distribution, royalties happens.  After all, could be another Bette Davis Eyes phenomenon that's being made here.

Lu's desire to once and for all show these women how much work show business really is speaks to, I suppose, how much work mediocrity takes.

Jesus, we haven't gotten to Black Shabbat yet?  How long will they keep teasing this next brilliant activity that will end up like everything else this season as 'dull on paper, even duller on film.'  And Leah can't go because she's been exposed to covid and has to quarantine for 5, not 10, not 14, but 5 days??  Score 1 for Bravo misinformation.  That should leave plenty of time for whatever Ramona has against a Black Shabbat to come out in volumes.  Seems from the previews some Orthodox Jews may have rubbed Ramona the wrong way, probably in response to Ramona rubbing them the wrong way times ten.

Whatever Sonja did or didn't do with the male model in his room made for the usual lame comedy bit that this show struggles with too much lately (all of it rather forced, and all of it going on much too long).  LuAnn's off-off-off-off Broadway celebrity, Sonja's drunken madness, Ramona's selfishness, and all of their throwing themselves at men, it's all played out.  The new women don't fit in, and the old ones are determined to stay well beyond their expiration date.  

It's never been more clear than in this episode that the old cast thinks they still have it, and the new cast doesn't have it at all, and probably never will.  It's no surprise that the result is embarrassing and boring.

We sure did see a different Ramona in that scene at Sonja's.  I like that Ramona.  I knew she wasn't a fool business-wise and it was nice to see her in her element.  If even for a moment.

I thought that Laura said that when she met Ramona previously she herself was pregnant. Then Laura said to Ramona that she looks gorgeous (though my closed captioning for some reason said beautiful not gorgeous).  Loved Ramona showing up to help Sonja, though Sonja is a lousy friend who really doesn't deserve it. It certainly seems though that her partner is taking advantage of her, so good on Ramona for questioning him. 

Please keep Leah's family off my screen. They are duller than dishwater. And do Leah and Sara not see their brother often? They acted like they had never seen his moustache before, but wouldn't one that thick take a couple of months to grow? Didn't her grandmother die at the end of October, so likely only a month or so before this epi would have been filmed? Also, not a good look on whatever-his-name is. He looked like he was auditioning for a part as a 70s porn star. 

Not sure I want to see an entire season of Eboni searching for her father, but it beats been preached to. I can't imagine why her mother doesn't just tell her, unless she doesn't know herself. I hope if she does find out who it is, the story ends happily for her, but I think the odds are likely more against it. But good luck to her in any case.

I've noticed lately here and other places that people are treating Sonja as though she's some babe in the woods neophyte done so wrong by her castmates.

I used to love Sonja for her wit and charm, but she's playing up this crazy act to secure her apple.  And when you read up on the reasons why she went into bankruptcy, you realize that she's really not a great person.

So I could give two fucks that they were laughing about Sonja's obvious lies -- esp. given her digs at both Lu and Ramona.

Let's see how many have we had across the RHO's franchise suddenly decide to find their birthparents?  Danielle, NeNe, Ashley, now Eboni.  I'm sure there were others as this feels too familiar.  Convenient how they go all their lives without finding them and then decide to find birth family members for a storyline.
