S11.E05: The Divided States Of Erika

I think Kyle looks very cute. Of course, she should have worn a different bra, maybe a white mask, rather than taupe. But I love the red heels with the cool, flared (?) heel and red handbag.
Sometimes Kyle is witty. “Maybe send the bag in a separate car or something.”

Sometimes her humor is very dorktastic.

You can't cinch your waist unless you actually have one, which I don't believe she does.  I thought she looked good in a little shift dress she wore at the beginning of the season with the fringe - it kind of covered up her stout middle, and she does have great legs for a shorter skirt.

Just for everyone's information - if you live near a residential children's home the high school girls who live there can use them too - that's where I used to donate my bridesmaids dresses.

Fellow ghoul here 😈. If she didn't mean that what did she mean?

Whoever told Sutton that she looked good in her crotch length denim skirt should be ashamed. The clothes in her store and at her Paris themed party looked really beautiful.

I like Sutton. I love her unusual sense of style and passion for color. I like her boutique logo. I love the reasons she loves visiting Paris. I like her friendship with Kyle, who seems to calm and ground her. Even though I think Rinna introduced her into the group as HER affluent friend.

She’s apple-shaped and dresses for that.

Haha I think Kyle can be pretty funny. She’s most funny doing impressions. She does the best impressions of all the housewives.

I've got last week's episodes with the "never before seen scenes" and just heard Sutton say this was the first car she's ever bought without ASKING PERMISSION!   I'm around her age and can honestly say I've NEVER asked permission to buy a car.  In fact my car ownership history more closely resembles Garcelle's lol.

Sorry to say, I have never bought a car on my own!  My dad found and bought my first used car, for which I paid them back in monthly installments.  Then I married and my husband has purchased all our cars. I feel like a failure in the Strong Woman department.  😢

Okay, Garcelle basically saying Erika should've just held out and waited for Tom to die is bleak yet hilarious all in one moment.

Clever one-off, but the truth is more like (I forget who said it) "people are living to 100 now". If Erika was divorcing Tom because she was tired of him, that's one thing but it should have been pretty obvious it was something more of a disaster that made her file.

I did not at all enjoy the husbands' scenes -- whose crummy idea was that?  I care not one bit what PK, Mo and/or Rob think or have to say.  This isn't the Real Husbands of BH and those scenes added nothing to the show.

Harry.  How old is he now?  Do you all think Harry is interested in sex and bj’s at this time in his life?  Between those lips of Rinnas and Bj’s, she’s disgusting.  Unless he uses Viagra.  I think he would rather do gardening instead of Rinna.

You might be surprised how many guys his age (and older) don't need viagra and can still get it on.  If a man keeps himself in good physical shape, age only slows 'em down somewhat.

Funny!  But make no mistake -- the stick is still there.

Tell me about it.  My husband is still good to go after a heart attack.  The Doctor told him it was exercise.  I thought Harry was much older.  I read in Florida at the Villages, the seniors were very active in the sex department.  Good for them.

Ha! Very funny.

I coveted it, too. And it entertained me the way Kyle couldn’t focus on her conversation with Krystle/Crystal Gale because that bag was pulsating. (paraphrasing:) “I have no idea what she’s saying because all I can see is that bag.”

Hermès is irrefutably overpriced and status-driven. However, if you examine the bags and the men’s ties….

Swoon….

There is sooooo much labor and attention to detail with regards to the bags. When I was not a mother, and my disposable income was just piling up, I bought a Kelly bag. I never carry it because it’s ostentatious and not practical. But it still makes me happy.

The ties make me happy because the detail in the patterns is magnificent and sweet.

Just my $.02.

You have a Kelly? I’m super jealous. That’s the one I want (Birkin is way too obvious pretentious for me). I also have no kids.

But you’re obviously smart and that bag is most likely worth more than you paid for it. I’d probably bring it to the dog park or something stupid like that after a few cocktails or an edible. Which is exactly why I know I’m not responsible enough to get one (I still peruse on Poshmark). Know thyself is my motto.

But related to episode - are those terrible dresses Sutton wears couture Dolce & Gabbana? Expensive clothes aren’t my thing. I’m more Max Studio at Nordstrom Rack. They do not fit her well at all for all that money.

It never occurred to me that the bag might be more valuable now. So I guess I am not smart! But I did insure it. This bag is sweet, but it’s also SMALL. I can fit my wallet, keys, one bottle of water, phone, pen. . . and not much else. I. . . guess that I could also carry phones for three of my friends? 🤷🏻‍♀️

What color would you get?

I was on eBay for months, coveting the dark brown alligator Birkins.

Hee, hee! with regard to the bolded.

I think that you’re right: Dolce & Gabbana. Oooh! Love Max Studio!!!

episode: I thought it was amusing and charming that the Housewives somehow arranged themselves so that there was a visual of

Black (with white polka dots or LV logo or solid dark) then a solid shade of pink/pale purple, then dark (with contrast). Then Ewrecka shows up in red.

. . . And now I realize that the producers orchestrated all of that.

You don't just suddenly drop 5 pounds unless you are pounding down laxatives and diuretics or you ran a marathon during a vacation, so more than likely her lack of eating started before the trip.  Weight loss and gain doesn't happen overnight.

I have when under stress - more than that, actually. Lost 7 pounds over one very harrowing weekend of worry. Not saying a vacation in Lake Tahoe lives up to the word "harrowing" lol but in my experience it's possible, that's all.

For me I am still down watching PK with Crystal's husb (Rob?) he, Rob I believe, is such a power Hollywood guy it's hilarious to watch PK schmooze and how thirsty PK is to be his bff and one on one time. This is what PK dreamed of as a child under the covers reading the tabloids about American Hollywood.  When Dorito made him leave I died laughing PK was crushed.  If that shit isn't going down I agree w/you though.

I think a lot of people would be shocked at how much their weight fluctuates.  I weigh myself every day, when I first get up so I'm comparing apples to apples (I'm comfortable with this, so no need to tell me I shouldn't weigh myself so often), and my weight has gone down as much as five pounds overnight.  I also know I'll weigh more during my period, and then I'll drop a few pounds when it's over.  I have about a seven pound range that I seem to stay in, provided I'm neither trying to restrict my eating or going crazy on rich/fatty foods.

I also weigh myself everyday Lasu.  It works for some people.  I know the prevailing idea is not to, but once I got past the initial weeks, the pattern of weight loss and maintaining it, is fascinating on a day to day basis.

Totally OT, but I have a friend who lives in Leisure World and I understand STDs are a problem there with all the "activity" going on.

You have a good point -- I was mildly amused by PKs thirst.

This is the truth.  I have single lady friends who are more active in that department than us marrieds.  They have some wine, enjoy, then close the door good night.  No fuss, no muss.  No cooking, no laundry., etc.

Don’t feel like a failure.  If a car salesman sees you coming, they Jack up the price with some bullshit and take advantage.

What the hell is a Kelly?  All I know is Coach, which are too heavy and sitting in my closet, Dooney & Burke ( Haunted Mansion I HAD to have and now only Vera Bradley totes and cross bodies.  I don’t work anymore or go anywhere.  I travel light now.  What do I do with them now?  My girls have their own.  Plus, I bought a few in Target which are fine.

I am over the period a long time, but I swear I still have PMS every month, and nobody can tell me different, even doctors.  Every month the week before the 10th, I have water retention, tired, headache and am bitchy.  Totally miserable.  People laugh, but I know my body, so they cannot tell me different.  I am a freak of nature.  Oh, and I get crampy too.  WTF?

An Hermès bag named after Grace Kelly like the Birkin is named after Jane Birkin.

Thank you.  Just wondering about the Queen Elizabeth and the same type of bags she always carries.  What kind could it be?  I’m sure it’s the best.
