Just in case any of you are unaware, Logan Paul is the youtuber that filmed a dead body in the Japanese suicide forest a couple of years ago.

I called him a douchebag in the live thread, and I stand by that comment.

So is this show trying to find the most despicable people possible? First we have to put up with antivax McCarthy. And this season has had Jenner that got away with vehicular manslaughter and now Logan. Who's next, R. Kelly?

I think I'm showing my age or something because many of the "stars" that the judges guess are people I've never heard of.   I'd never heard of Logan Paul and now that I've been told what his "claim to fame" is/was, I wshi I was still in the dark. I'm just wondering are the judges provided lists of who the contestants might be?  Show is losing some of its appeal to me.

I wish they would stop with the so-called “ stars” of Tik Tok and You Tube.  I doubt that the demographic who follows them even watch this show.

My teenage kids watch with me and they know more of these people than I do.  Then again, they have no idea who people like the legendary Patti LaBelle are, so I guess it cancels out.

But I agree, I think the target demographic mostly has no idea who these people are.  The names that come mostly out of Jenny's mouth about all these social media people, I have never heard of many of them.

I have however, heard of Logan Paul, only because I remember the Japanese forest incident.  This guy is a twit.  As far as I am concerned, he is the male equivalent of a Kardashian.  Zero talent but inexplicably everywhere and people give him attention.  Why would this show give him even more attention?  He wanted redemption for the forest incident?  Won't be getting it from me.

Never heard of Logan Paul either.  Does he have a brother?  It sounds like Nicole guessed his brother instead.  Also, he was being rude with Piglet (Nick).  Does he know who Piglet is and doesn't like him?  Even if he was trying to be competitive, he took it too far.

Yeah Logan Paul is one of those Youtube "personalities" who are famous for being annoying and "random" and nothing else. I do know who Logan Paul is, and he has always struck me as a massive douchebag who got all butthurt that people were offended about the Japanese Suicide Forrest video and is now on some kind of redemption tour after he got a reputation for no longer being "fun" annoying and became "shitty" annoying and lost a lot of followers. Look at that shit eating grin, reformed my ass. Also, I really did think he was an older guy, his voice sounds scratchy as hell. 

I actually am kind of familiar with the internet star world, and honestly most of them are not people a lot of people who watch this show will be familiar with.

I still have no clue what the point of the Wildcards are. I guess they just wanted more people? At least they can both actually sing.

I wonder if they had trouble getting contestants and the Wildcards were added at the last minute to round up the numbers. Remember that in Piglet’s package he was added in only 4 weeks before filming.

I actually thought he said 4 DAYS before filming.  Did the show really have trouble getting contestants?  Is Nick Cannon really one of the contestants, as Nicole suggested the other week?  So there isn't going to be a Group C this year? 

I feel like there would be more interest from celebrities to do this show.  Season 1 had only 12 contestants but subsequent seasons have had 16, 16, 18 and 16.  Season 4 was filmed during pandemic as well, so that can't be a reason for why celebs won't do the show.  If there are truly only 12 contestants this year that would be disappointing.  Unless there are even more wildcards coming up.

I thought the short notice swap out  was because someone else either got COVID or had an exposure or for some other reason would not be allowed on set, not because they were having trouble casting.

I assume there will be a Group C.  They did this last season too where we were 5 or 6 weeks into the show before we even saw the third group.

I only know Logan Paul because he appeared on Top Chef once and most people commented he was human trash.   Just hearing a couple of the things he's done, that sounds about right.  I despise that as a society we don't just tolerate horrible behavior, but glorify and set it up as an example of how to be cool.

Ever season there's one singer that you can tell instantly.  This year it's Nick Lachey as Piglet.   The judgers know it too, but can't reveal it too early so they're guessing all around the other Boy Bands.   It's like when Patti Labelle came on and Nicole kept saying "I know that voice, you're a legend".   Yet never guessed Patti Labelle until she was voted off.

Logan Paul is indeed human trash.  And he has this smarmy face that looks so eminently punchable.  I truly don't understand why the media and society give him so much attention.

Agreed regarding Nick Lachey.  And Patti LaBelle.  Patti's voice was instantly recognisable.  She had been guessed multiple times in the previous season and then yet when she was actually on, no guesses at all until she was voted off.  I still think it is criminal that she didn't win her season.  She was by far the best singer in that season, and I guess she got voted off because she didn't move around.  Her performance of "Alone" is one of my favourite performances ever on this show.

It's a real mystery how a piece of human trash as irredeemable as Logan Paul ended up seeking redemption on a show usually hosted by Nick Cannon that has Robin Thicke and Jenny McCarthy amongst its judges. A real mystery indeed.

I know literally nothing about this dude. But on an episode of The Good Place, the characters were in Australia at an America themed restaurant (I suppose to mimic Outback Steakhouse) and they had Logan Paul trivia night. So that makes me guess he is trash. Only the literal demon wanted to play Logan Paul trivia. 

I never would have guessed him, and am looking forward to not redeeming many more trashcans on this show.
