The Clarks: King Jarod, Queen Vanessa, Cinderella Kaleh

Recommended Posts

THE CLARKS

Jarod Clark, Vanessa Clark, Kaleh Clark

Jarod and his two queens, Vanessa and Kaleh, live in North Carolina. While Jarod and Vanessa are moving into a new house, their sister wife Kaleh has not been feeling like a valuable member of the family. The Clarks are trying to mend their plural relationship before adding more sister wives to it, but when they confront Kaleh about the tension between them, she doesn’t have the reaction they hoped for.

As long as the King isn't Henry VIII.  Wives who displeased him didn't fare well.

You can tell by his behavior every time they discuss adding another "queen" to the family.  He just wants to have sex without having to travel far for it.  He must not be very good in bed if he can find two (or more) women willing to "share" him.  ("You take him tonight."  "No, I've been stuck with him for two nights in a row.  YOU take him.")

l don't like King Jarod, and a lot of my dislike involves his over-muscled body.  He is a teacher of *special needs* students and students with behavioral problems?   My daughter has a severe disability, and I would be very uncomfortable if her teacher were as bulked up as King Jarod.  I would worry that he felt he had to become physically intimidating in order to keep order in his classes, rather than possessing the skills to lead a special ed class with as little physical prompting as possible.  I would not want my daughter to comply with her teacher's directions because she was afraid, whether the fear was justified or not.

He seems like a perfectly nice person (within the parameters of being on this show), and I have no reason to think he is not a gentle, caring, excellent teacher.  But it disturbs me to think that he would bulk up so, knowing that his over-muscled body would frighten at least some of his students.   Too many students with disabilities have been "controlled" in classrooms using brute force in terms of making them sit or stand, to stop performing certain actions, etc., and I think it would serve Jarod himself to allow his body to become at least a little slack.  JMO.

Polyamory isn’t the same as polygamy right? The Clark’s describe themselves as polyamorous......🧐

Polyamory is the act of having intimate relationships with more than one person at the same time. Polygamy exclusively describes relationships where people are married.  The Clarks aren't trying to "marry" additional wives.  As a counter to this, the Winders see themselves as married to each other and would do so if it was legally allowed much as the Snowdens "married" Vanessa.

I too have a disabled son.  He is in transition now so, at the end of his time in school.  His favorite teacher throughout his school career is an "over-muscled" man who relates to the kids in his class like few other teachers have.  Kids, typical or otherwise do not automatically develop a "fear" of anyone regardless of their bulk.  Generally, they need to be taught to be intimidated by a person with extra size.  Unless they have personal experience or been told by a parent or other influential adult, children do not inherently know that extra size can equate to extra strength.  And just because someone body builds does not mean that individual feels the need or would use that build to "physically intimidate" a child or anyone else for that matter.  We adults have years of news, experiences, and other sources of information, (some sensationalized and exaggerated, some not) that form our perceptions, opinions, and biases which then may lead us to project our unwarranted concerns and judgements onto others.

I don’t understand why they are on the show. They aren’t polygamists.
