DangerousMinds 53,567 August 29, 2014 They were actually my favorite couple. Hope they're doing well! Share this post Link to post
worleybird 1,280 August 29, 2014 I live in Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood (about 7 miles north of the Loop). And a restaurant across the street from me, Tedino's, a pizzeria/Italian place, told me that last week a couple from this show dined out on their sidewalk patio. From the description it sounds like these two, even though his bio says he lives in Indy. The manager said the crew spent some BIG bucks and tipped very well. I'll keep an eye on the show to see when/if it airs. 1 Share this post Link to post
TigerLily20 2,088 October 20, 2014 While I understand why they didn't want to participate in the show (I know he had a lot of problems with the way things were edited, there was an article about it on TWOP somewhere) but for my own selfish reasons I would have liked just a quick update, even just a "they are still married and happy". When watching the marathon yesterday I have to say they were one of my favorite couples, crazy ex-wife and all : ) 2 Share this post Link to post
fliptopbox 4,400 October 20, 2014 Haven't seen the catch-up special yet, but maybe they were prohibited from even mentioning them? If they were that unhappy with the original portrayal they may have sent lawyers after them basically barring TLC from talking about them ever. But I dunno. Anyone know if the catch-up is On Demand yet? I think it aired at the same time as Walking Dead, haha. Share this post Link to post
Adeejay 29,014 October 20, 2014 I hate when people blame editing for the way they are portrayed. The thing is, the editors can only work with what you give them, because while they can edit out, they can't edit in. 2 Share this post Link to post

Or they are just being bratty little kids who won't play nice. 1 Share this post Link to post
DangerousMinds 53,567 October 21, 2014 They were my favorites. I'm hoping this means they are just fine and dandy without whoring themselves out to TV anymore. Share this post Link to post
cooksdelight 54,612 October 21, 2014 From what I've read, they are fine and doing well. And they can't take legal action once they sign the contract to appear on the show. But, deciding not to come back for any more is probably their way of saying "no thank you!" 2 Share this post Link to post
cooksdelight 54,612 October 22, 2014 The info that his friend posted on TWoP, which is now gone. Share this post Link to post
MsJackson 33 October 24, 2014 I recently read that Louis was recognized on Tindr. Does anyone know more? 1 Share this post Link to post

silverspoons 4,774 March 16, 2015 I think Louis spoke too much about how TLC works and they didn't want him to back to spill anymore information. I also think Louis needed any extra money(however little it is for reunions/updates) more then any other cast member and TLC didn't want to give him another dime. In my search for Alan's real timeline, I posted some questions and Louis answered me. He said he was still happily married and talked about the creative editing and timeframes. 2 Share this post Link to post
Raja 8,311 May 24, 2015 I hate when people blame editing for the way they are portrayed. The thing is, the editors can only work with what you give them, because while they can edit out, they can't edit in. Just by listening to them speak during the episodes they seemed to be under the impression that they were doing something like a Lisa Ling documentary and not a Kardashian clone show. I speculate that once the interest was shown the production assistant did her best possible sales job to push the "documentary" angle. They needed someone to fill time. 3 Share this post Link to post
hitch4life 11 November 30, 2015 They didn't like to be fed lines. They didn't like the forced scenes and dialogue and how involved the ex wife was. Money or lack thereof had very little to do with it. 3 Share this post Link to post
KarmaG 686 December 1, 2015 I'm glad to learn that the scenes with the ex were producer driven and not their choice. It was such an awkward thing to watch. 2 Share this post Link to post
