When Whoopi says something like “there you have it” you know she is bored and wasn’t listening.

Meg thinks sometimes white people need to shut up yet she’s rambling on and on and on... Please take your own advice, dear.

They forgot to mention the most important FACT about the Cooper/Cooper story ... he "advised" her that dogs were supposed to be on leash in the area (because of the birds).  She didn't like him (telling her what to do) & went after him because he "corrected her".  She deserves more punishment!!!

Whoopi often sounds disengaged, as witnessed with her descriptive, “Right”, after someone makes a heartfelt statement.

That bitch Cooper also almost murdered her dog. I’m not sure I agree with Joy. It’s been a long time since I saw the video, and I find it too disturbing to confirm, but I got the impression she played up the fear for 911.  She weaponized the white woman tears, which is repugnant.  Black women are sitting in jail for voting at the wrong precinct, and this chick gets away with five therapy sessions.

What pisses me off is the Black guy who was her victim jumping to her defense. Does he not realize that he could have been hurt or killed.  Like Sunny said she has to be held accountable.

Her SOURPUSS of a TWAT can just STFU about Cuomo. And I mean her ranting and raving and demanding he resign, and that he committed..."malfeasance"! The moron. If not for the deaths of that couple that--HELLO!-affected her, she wouldn't have said shit. Quelle Shock. Where was all this outrage last summer before she thankfully left for maternity leave? What about all those that died without family around them? And suuuuuure, had your dad died of COVID, do you think your ass, or the hawks, and animals would have been allowed to be near him? Well, maybe, since your ass is so entitled. She forgets that he died BEFORE the world had been hit with a deadly pandemic. So she can just miss me with her hatred for Cuomo. Hell, she seems to hate everyone and everything New York, so why does her ass live there? Oh riiiiight. This show, which has finally given her a free platform to spew her lies and misinformation.

And she hasn't learned SHIT from the murder of George Floyd, since she's always bringing up the BLM protests as a false equivalency to the domestic terrorism on January 6th.

Learn and listen, my ass. How did lightning not strike her lying ASS down. And why is SHE talking about this?

She doesn't.  She's been living in Virginia.  Or "inside the beltway."  It's confusing.

Rehearsal???

This shitshow is rehearsed!?!?

'Rehearsal' as in they usually go over what 'hot topics' will be discussed, what clips of a video a host wants to use during hot topics, what order the topics will be discussed, which order they will go in with questioning the hosts, what the subject with the guests will be (today's guest was there to discuss his book), etc. as everything is timed beforehand, and they need to fit everything in.

However, it seems like every day - despite the rehearsals - there's always a car crash with these women. Whoopi blames it on last-minute changes told in her earpiece, or the hosts want to add something in (when it's not their time), Whoopi doesn't seem to remember the timing for commercial breaks, a guest talks way too long, etc.

This has happened since day one with Whoopi hosting (2007) , it's not new due to them being remote. I don't recall this constantly happening with Rosie moderating, or Walters moderating (I never watched Vieria).  If it did happen, ROsie and Walters seemed to cover it up and take control of it more gracefully than Whoopi - who becomes flustered and angry.

Well, yeah, since she was in her third trimester. But pre and early pandemic, when they were still in the studio, she was living there, right? Or was she hauling her ass between where she is now and  New York.

But, touché!

Dondre Whitfield is a little too pompous for me. And, him calling everyone sister reminded me of when my nieces friends call me “Auntie”.  I don’t say anything to them but I always think- umm, no. I liked him on All My Children though.

Doesn't seem like the kind of man who responds to threats.  But yes, he is a kind, thoughtful man.

Here's a quote from an article about Christian Cooper:

"I'm not sure that her one minute of poor decision-making, bad judgments and, without question, racist response necessarily has to define her completely, you know?"

This was after Amy Cooper was fired from her job, and was excoriated in the press.

No argument here.

I was just elaborating on Christian Cooper's actions that were mentioned above.  He took the high road.  I admire that.

It is admirable but too many times people of color have taken the high road and forgiven transgressions against them and  the forgiven continue to not learn from what they have  done and continue to commit transgressions.

Meggy always has to introduce herself into the narrative when she actually has no idea what the subject of the matter is.  Her talking about her friend's parents dying alone in a nursing home has nothing to do with the Cuomo scandal.  Older people are dying alone all over the country because of the pandemic.  The Cuomo scandal has to do with the undercounting of the numbers.

Meghan has a lot of nerve to sit there smugly calling abortion murder in front of a woman (Whoopi) who had a coat-hanger abortion when she was 14 years old. While implying that women make these choices for frivolous reasons. Just days after she and her healthy, smiling baby did a spread in People magazine.

I've always thought Meghan had balls to talk about abortion the way she does in front of Whoopi.

I've often wondered if the other ladies have plenty issues with MyFather but keep it respectful and say how wonderful he was all the time because Meghan is sitting right there. Meghan doesn't give that same respect back though. Whoopi has shown tremendous grace with her during these debates on multiple occasions.

Because he wasn't an asshole when he was a guest on the show. Unlike Twatty, Joy doesn't let her politics define and subsume her, like Twatty does.

One of the reasons I like Joy is because she reminds me of a time when it was possible to disagree with someone politically but still be friends with them.

I agree Joy is much nicer than Meghan and doesn't let politics define her, but she has absolutely said she has a hard time being friends with certain people in politics/political commentary. I can't give details because it would be breaking board rules. So her waxing poetic about MyFather is still strange to me.

Anyway, I wonder if Whoopi will really lose it on Meghan someday during an abortion debate. Whoopi can be rude to people who haven't really said anything offensive, so it also surprises me how she keeps her cool when Meghan is so insensitive.

I see. I don't care so much about my own friends politics, so long as they don't shove them down my throat and nothing is coming from a hateful place. I also think there is a big difference between someone whose politics make an impact (like MyFathers did) and someone who isn't in politics or perhaps just talks politics.

I thought being pro-life across the board meant condemning capital punishment, being for gun control laws that could keep the country safer, being against wars, pretty sure none of that sounds like Meghan. She's pro birth and a partisan hack.

And the shelter she got the dog from took it back after she nearly choked it to death while holding it by the collar with its front legs off the ground for over a minute.  She should have at least got a ticket for having her dog loose in an on-leash area, all on video.  And some sort of community service where she could learn and practice being civil in a diverse community (supervised, of course).

Perhaps the next time Meghan's "very good friend" Amber Tamblyn is on.  Amber has spoken out about her (safe) abortion in the past.

"As a Republican", Meggie is anti-funding for birth control and prenatal care, and pro-locking up kids at the border.

I was looking to hear her support for free prenatal and child health care. Since she cares so much about the children, that is.

I don't recall hearing from her either when the administration made a concerted effort to execute as many federal death row inmates as possible before Biden took office, because they knew Biden would put the federal ban on capital punishment back in place.   That would be any issue worthy of one her rants...IF she was truly pro-life across the board.

Meghan's full of shit.

My heart goes out to anyone who lost a loved in the nursing homes. It is truly heartbreaking. I can't begin to imagine. But I'm sorry Meghan never shows the same passion when there are horrible consequences from the actions of those of her party. Matter of fact, I've seen her be incredibly dismissive, take things as personal attacks against herself, her family, or the military. She's called people unpatriotic when they've talked about the deadly results of actions of her own party. I'm so sick of this partisan woman who thinks she's so smart and values life more than anyone. She cares about herself and anything that she can somehow relate back to herself. She basically tells everyone else to fuck off. I'm glad she is finally coming around on racial issues, but it only took her until her mid30's to get there. Not too long ago anyone who peacefully protested deeply offended her and was disrespectful to her whole family.

Meghan's views on abortion are not only offensive to WHoopi, she needs to consider that among the TV audience there are thousands of women, couples, families, medical personnel, who have had to make difficult decisions about ending a pregnancy.  its easy to have an opinion on something when you've never had to make the difficult decision yourself.  it is hurtful for someone  who has had to face this issue, to watch a talk show and be exposed to opinions like hers.

Not too long ago, she had used the word "infanticide" about a ruling that parents could withhold extreme measures to save the life of infants born with debilitating conditions (like, without a brain),  This was something that people in her party were discussing, including trump, and calling it "infanticide."   I know  at least one couple who was devastated, first by having to face this difficult situation, then by having to hear people ranting about it and using that term, as if they had slaughtered their child, instead of just accepting their death.

my point - the show needs to be more respectful of its audience.  A show that is geared towomen, needs to recognize that speaking as though every woman who has made difficult gut-wrenching decisions about their pregnancy or their baby, is a murderer, is a show that is dismissive to a segment of their audience.

Yes, all of this. It is so offensive for her to say that. I am not interested in hearing that bullshit at ten a.m. or ever.

Whoopi pushed back on her yesterday.  But Joy could have said something.   Sunny will never really push back on Meghan regarding abortion because she only defends it as being legal. And Sara sadly won't go up against Meghan.

I agree it's reprehensible she is allowed to be so obnoxious and hurtful when talking abortions. I wonder how supportive she would be if someone close to her was faced with having to lose a child to late term abortion.

Meghan is going to be in a bad (even worse than usual) mood tomorrow.  DC is expecting a snow, sleet, ice storm starting later tonight.  The crews are already treating the beltway so living inside the beltway is going to be noisy tonight.  Not to mention the weight of having all that stuff on top of you.

MeAgain will no doubt refer to RL tomorrow as an “icon.” I don’t know, to me an “icon” is someone who is respected by a wide cross section of people.

I’ve asked Joy on Twitter to at least bring up how RL would, on his radio show, “celebrate” when gay men were dying from AIDS-related illnesses. In any event it should be interesting.
