Noah finds himself in a situation not even April can fix.

What?!? Something the Blessed April can't fix?

I hate all these people. Just... everyone at this point. I think I hate NewGabby even more than OldGabby now.

Noah was so wrong in what he did. Choi was right to fire him for negligence even if he was convinced not to turn him over to authorities. That poor nurse will think she did something wrong when it was a setup from the start. If the man wanted to die, there were better settings to do it in then the ER, which involved other staff besides Noah who might get pulled in to the drama

Nice to see Maggie admit that she may keep a brave face but she feels the weight of the world on her shoulders

When Noah was looking at Choi with that big smug smirk on his face, I wanted to punch him into next week. Choi should have reported him to authorities. I knew that wasn’t going to happen, unfortunately, because of St. April pleading for her brother. That poor old man wouldn’t have gone to prison. Noah took away any chance that he might reconsider killing himself.

As usual, the only one who acts like a professional is Dr. Charles.  Love how they let him slowly show his empathic listening skills to help the staff.

yes, he is really the only one who acts sanely and he's now pretty much the only reason i still watch this show.  Not interested in anything Natalie or April have to say. Don't like Choi anymore since he took over management. Halstead just thinks he's right about everything and he often is outside the lines.

Exactly!  Who's to say if he would have still felt suicidal in a few days or weeks.  Maybe he would have realized caring on the clinic was his way to honor his wife.  It's not like Noah's 'assisted suicide' was for compassionate reasons (he wasn't dying a miserable death, he was in mourning).  Noah should have been locked up.  Really, really irresponsible writing.  Just horrible.

Noah was all the way wrong for what he did and I'm happy someone finally faced the consequences of their actions are this hospital.  I still can not stand Choi and I'm waiting for his staff to turn on him.

I feel like Crockett would have done what Noah did , but he would have covered his tracks better. Maggie finally admits that she's not superwoman.

it annoyed me to bring Noah back for one episode and then get rid of him. I kind of expected it but still. Originally, he was very annoying but he gradually got competent and I actually got to where I liked him. So of course he's gone. I did like him telling April that he needed to be out on his own, which was very true.

Ridiculous plot in terms of the suicide. There was no reason the old doctor had to kill himself immediately. He was not going to be detained in prison so he would have had ample time and the ability to kill himself in a few days when he got home.

He would probably have been admitted to a closed psychiatric ward as being a suicide risk since he did in fact attempt suicide.

The issue of suicide is much more nuanced when the situation is like his wife where there is no meaningful existence and the suicide lacks the capacity to end their life without intervention.  But here there was no reason except stupidity and lazy writing for the means to be given to the doctor in this way so as to involve Noah in a fake moral dilemma. - Old Doctor had the rest of his life to do it if he still wanted to after the initial grief and guilt had passed.

While the husband might be currently suicidal and guilt wracked, most attempted suicides can be saved and are glad the attempt was not successful  - that is the nature of why attempts are made to save suicides and offer psychological help.

Ay yi yi.  I just.  Noah with all of his BS and April with all of her BS and then their turning it back around on Choi like he's actually the one with all of the BS.  Maybe Noah would have done what he had done if the ER chief was someone he had a more arms-length relationship, or even an outright unfamiliar or negative relationship, with.  But he did it working under Ethan and expected to be treated differently.  And even if he didn't expect it, April sure did.

Will cuts his hair and wears a white coat to be more professional.  Buddy, I don't think that makes even a tiny dent in how unprofessional your practice of medicine is.

They are ruining the character of Crockett.  I am not sure what the couple name is officially or unofficially, but it seems quite clear to me that it should be "Crockalie."  What a crockalie.  Last episode when they hooked up, I yelled out "gross!" to my tv.  I never talk out loud when I'm watching a show.  They are just that bad.  "What a crockalie!" I will yell at them uncontrollably every week until they end this ghastly pairing.

Yet another episode that makes me happy they wrote out Connor Rhodes and released Colin Donnell from this hellscape.

So basically what you are saying is this whole show is just BS.....and I totally agree.

And I have also added 'Crockalie' to my vernacular... there a few "Crockalie's' in this franchise. I will be using it a lot.

My first thought on seeing this episode is that I'm so glad that I live in a country with MAiD (medical assistance in dying). Choi doesn't need to lie to the police, all he has to do is say that Noah left the syringe there which is all he knows for a fact. Losing the residency in Chicago and moving away from April could be the best thing for Noah.

Is April really stupid, or just so self-righteous that she can't see beyond the end of her current crusade?  There is a very good reason for the rules of who is let into a study and who isn't. There doesn't have to be some deep dark conspiracy as to why African-Americans are represented at 1/4 of their representation in the population and it doesn't mean that they won't be treated if the study is successful. I'm tired of April thinking that she's going to save the world.

How old is Anna anyway? If she's old enough to get pregnant, she's old enough to have a say in where she lives. I like that they cast an actress who looks like she could be Oliver Platt's daughter.

But not before they had ruined the Dr. Rhodes character with that awful melodrama with Ava Bekker. The current show could use a cardiothoracic specialist and Dr. Latham's appearances are too infrequent.

No, April can't fix the medical world by herself and she can't just bend the rules but the issue she raised about minority representation in clinical trials does provide food for thought. I personally can't comment about the validity of her numbers, I just don't know.

Noah was such an idiot. Letting a guy kill himself. And he wasn't even subtle about it, to make it look like a simple accident. He's smirking while telling Ethan it's time to call TOD. Just ugh.

And Ethan again showing why he's shouldn't be the chief resident. He lies to Kevin, simply because it was April begging him. He says, "If it was anybody else." That should never come into play when you're supposed to be an objective leader. And as was mentioned, all he could really tell Kevin was that a doctor left a needle close to where the patient could get to it.

And why the hell was Kevin in this anyway. He's part of Intelligence. Their purview doesn't cover assisted suicides. The writers keep doing this to try to show the One Chicago universe, but it's not cohesive. If PD still had a focus on the patrol part (an issue for a different day), it would make sense. But just dropping Kevin into this episode to bring a Chicago PD mix into this just doesn't work. Maybe they think people aren't paying close attention, but they'd be wrong.

And the Natalie-Crockett crap is already exhausting. Natalie talking about sleeping with him at work. Maggie cheerleading about it. The annoying glances at one another. Conveniently running into each other to talk about what their relationship means. And of course, as soon as she sees his ex-wife, and after Crockett made clear nothing was happening, the walks out. That's teenager maturity, and this is a widowed single mother character. Makes no sense. The Crockett character is being ruined. If they just focused on him being a surgeon with a troubled past, and not being a love interest, his character would have a lot more to work with.

Amen and agree with that!  They are doing a horrible character assassination and grave disservice to Crockett; just let him be a surgeon and not a love interest--at least not with Natalie or ANY of the women at Chicago Med!

I'm not sure why the Noah character returned only to be written him off with an asinine storyline.

Rest of the cast - not even worth mentioning:  No interest in Dr. Charles and his pregnant daughter.  Halstead/April - stop the madness. Maggie & family - just don't care.    What are the writer's thinking?  Have they exhausted all interesting storylines or just lazy writing?  I am about an episode away from not watching any longer.

30% greater incidence of heart problems does merit investigation but that's not a task for this trial. It requires a different type of study. It makes sense also that African-Americans are reluctant to participate in medical trials, Tuskegee was what led to the concept of "informed consent".

April pushing people who are marginal into this study is just going to ruin it for everyone because the results will be flawed.
