Gibbs and Fornell's crusade to find the head of the drug ring responsible for Fornell's daughter Emily's overdose comes to a climax. Also, Gibbs and Vance finally let the team in on a case that has dangerous implications.

TV Guide says this is episode 6.

Now that McGee is injured has everyone had their time in the hospital? More tracking down Russian drug cartel. Whee.

Nice to get an explanation finally of why Gibbs was shooting McGee.  He was saving his life.  He also saved Torres's life by not letting him run into the airplane when it was going to explode.

Good to have this storyline wrapped up.  Maybe we won't have to see Fornell for a long time now.  And maybe Emily never again. I can hope.

Seeing Torres and Bishop (had to google to remember her name!) embrace after the plane exploded has me wondering when they'll become an official couple and will the showrunners/writers handle it well or will we hate it?  As of right now, I'm okay with it but remembering how they handled Tony & Ziva, I have low hopes.

I haven't read anything about the actor playing McGee leaving the show so I'm sure that McGee will recover.   Speaking of the actor, he got really thin again this season; he's almost gaunt looking now.

This happens a lot with Sean, so I wonder if he has some sort of medical condition that causes this?  If it's by choice, though I don't find it a great look, maybe he prefers himself to be thinner.

CBS has Head of the Snake listed as episode 5 on their website.

I really enjoyed the scene between Gibbs and Fornell in the hanger. I was also suprised that Vance was involved. I don't recall knowing that but Vance has come quite a long way. I doubt that he'd have made the same choices in the early seasons that he was director.

The terrorist plot was quite the twist. I'm not sure how I feel about the resolution and that Bishop was taken. The former was anti-climatic, the latter was unnecessary, in my opinion.

Did I get that right, Bishop and Torres were talking about Gibbs being unfazed by having to shoot McGee? Haven't they been with the team long enough to know that Gibbs does not show his feelings but that that does not have to mean that he's unfazed? Not to mention that I think that it was obvious that it was on his mind. Yes, he did what he had to do but it still wasn't easy for him and I think it showed. But what was he supposed to do? Go on a guilt trip?

If he doesn't think Bishop is on the plane, McGee probably takes cover and calls for backup.  Bishop being taken explains why he was so driven to advance that Gibbs had to shoot him.

Me, too. I liked how they could carry on a conversation while pretending to be trying to shoot each other. Shows what years of friendship can do for you.

It was uncharitable of me, but I found myself thinking that for all she acts like a hot shot agent, she got snatched out of a van in broad daylight. Did she not even have the door locked while doing dangerous undercover work?

This right here! I couldn't believe it when she said, "Maybe he should feel bad," about shooting McGee. Wouldn't they all feel worse if they had all watched McGee die? At least Delilah understood, although she seemed to feel a bit shaky about it. I think it was clear that it was on his mind and that he felt very responsible for McGee and what he was going through.

Yeah, I have so many questions about that. That van was the only car anywhere in sight. There was absolutely no backup anywhere. Who was watching her and why and where did they come from and why did the team not anticipate that?

It was weird and felt forced.

Torres should have asked her what she thinks Gibbs was supposed to do. (Besides, I think he did feel bad but what options did he have?)

I think she felt shaky because McGee was not out of the woods yet.

I'm not sure how far they plan ahead and maybe they'll do something with it but at the moment, I don't think Gibbs shooting McGee was necessary either.

I kinda think whoever is responsible for keeping agents' gear working should be fired for McGee's headset failure. At least, I think that's why he couldn't hear Gibbs telling him to stop?

He was close to the plane which was sending off that weird signal that made them realize there was a bomb on board.  I think that signal interfered with his headset.

Thank God this storyline is over.  I used to love Fornell and Gibbs together but Fornell bugged the crap out of me in this arc  Don't get me started on his daughter.  I never liked her.  Let's see how long she stays clean.

Not happy about Torres and Bishop romance.  Why. do they feel like they need to do this?  Don't these people have lives and meet people outside of work???

McGee's weight is like a yo yo...not healthy.

torres said nothing phases him, and Bishop said maybe something should.  I don't think she wanted him to feel bad, but to not bottle everything up because it's not healthy.
