Debating Covid? DON'T! Discussing Fox News reporting on Covid? DON'T!

Again, we are not debating anything regarding Covid in this thread.  This includes but is not limited to:

  • Protocols
  • Government actions
  • Dr. Fauci
  • The severity of the disease
  • Any politician responses
  • Fox News talking points

This is off-topic in the RHOC forums. Warnings have been issued and many posts have been hidden.

Regarding the stupid comment that Shannon might or might not have made about Gina’s condo: I wouldn’t be shocked if Shannon did say it. She’s pretty materialistic and status conscious. But Brauwyn’s behavior isn’t exactly trustworthy. I did notice that when they got into yet another fight about it at the reunion (I swear it’s the dumbest fight) Brauwyn said she “believes” Shannon said it. That’s kind of an odd way to phase it since Brauwyn has always stated that she heard it, she was sober, and Sean was there. And now she just believes in it? Like Santa Clause?

Again, this is the kind of shit that makes people doubt everything she says even sensitive topics like addiction.

It would be fun to see Sarah Winchester back on the show.

I would also like to see Heather Dubrow come back.

I like both of them, so I kind of agree.  But then again, they don't bring a lot to the table.

I was watching the first few seasons and they are actually entertaining.  Vicki claiming that the huge boobed nuts at Havasu will be there to change her diapers, Lauri and Babe headed to the Romney fundraiser, buying horses and visiting her son in jail...  They thought that we were impressed by their wealth and that we looked up to them, as we laughed and laughed.

Maybe they need a whole new crop of delusional wealthy idiots?

I am still on the fence about Elizabeth.  I believe her story, but she is just kind of a liar in general, I think.  The pause to cry doesn't seem authentic to me.

I liked Kara. She was "tres chic". She was a traditional spoiled OC kid. I remember when she complained about getting a hand me down BMW for her 16th birthday.

I thought her son who tried to be a professional baseball player was very rude to Jeana. He threatened to hit her with a baseball bat when she attended one of his games with Vicky.

Jeanna was a doormat for her abusive husband...her older son seemed to be role modeling his father's abusive behavior. Kara married a professional football player for the Jacksonville Jaguars. I believe they recently lost a baby during childbirth. They deceided to do a home birth and there were complications that resulted in the baby dying.

Lynne Curtain's daughters are a mess...porn stars and drug arrests.

I disagree - Kelly hasn't said anything crass IMO.

The women being wealthy and in a bubble - that's the whole point of the show though.  I mean, from the beginning RHOC has been watching new money showing off and thinking they are aspirational, while we watch and laugh AT them because they look like fools.

I don't know what direction this show will go in if Andy thinks we are looking to the housewives as role models, or looking to them for leadership or for health info.

I agree!

Entitled to your opinion but I still maintain that in the years Kelly has been in the show she has indeed displayed crass, vulgar behavior. Maybe it's me but I just don't like bullies.

Brauwyn: I’m not a narcissist. I got checked for that.

Me:😂😂😂😂 It’s not a pregnancy  you nut job!  You can’t just get a Home Narcissist Test kit. Oh you train wreck. This sort of shit is why people question your alcoholism story.

Well, to be fair, Narcissistic Personality Disorder is something you are diagnosed as having by a psychiatrist.  I assumed what she meant is that she had testing and was not diagnosed with NPD.  I wouldn't be surprised if she does have a cluster B personality disorder; I think Momma Deb does, and if your parent has one, you are more likely to also.  And it doesn't look like Bronwyn is doing a great job breaking the cycle.

If she offered to get drugs for a minor, she should be off the show. I'm comfortable with that line.

That said, it looks like Shannon is using this to deflect, rather than over concern for her child, and that's pretty gross too.

Kelly is so unhinged when it comes to Bronwyn.  I find it so bizarre that she is so insanely threatened by the idea of Bronwyn being an alcoholic.  I assume it's because she thinks B drinks less than her, so how can it be a problem?? If Kelly had evidence that B was drinking still, that would be one thing, but to claim she knows for a fact B isn't an alcoholic because she saw her in the morning and B was less hungover than Kelly?  That's...not how it works.  Let it go.

Elizabeth seems to be more trying to sit at the cool kids table by ganging up on B rather than genuinely having beef with her. I'm not saying she has no reason to be upset with anything B has done, but I just feel like if say, Kelly was the one being ganged up on, E would have been yelling at her. She just wants an in.

Gina and Emily seem great.  Good on 'em.

I will disagree with this heavily. It isn’t thrown around enough. January 6 showed that. Kelly is a white passing woman with Mexican ancestry. That doesn’t exclude her from being a racist. She has said many things that are racist. We don’t tell Jewish or other protected classes how to feel or distinguish something is anti Semitic. We need to stop doing this To folks of color and black people. As a light tone person of African ancestry, I can’t tell y a day that I didn’t experience At LEAST one micro aggression. And I am lighter toned. I can’t imagine what my child and others who are darker experience. Nor would I try. Funny how folks defend Kelly and fox’s news to spread propaganda but racism is overstated and overblown. Ok.

Agree with you except for one thing- Jews are not exempt from the minimizing of experiences and feelings either and we’re not a protected class. However, as most of us are White, there is privilege and that I wholeheartedly acknowledge.

I think what’s gotten Kelly unhinged is the fame and attention that Brawnwyn is getting. I actually agree with her that everything that woman does is contrived, but I think that if Brawnwyn toned it way down, Kelly wouldn’t be so intense about her reactions toward her.

That said, I hate Brawnwyn and want her fired yesterday

Brown wind knows there is nothin cooler than an old lady dressing like a rebel teenager circa 1995. She can call it Laura Croft ( who by the way only dresses anything close to this when she is raiding fucking tombs), but I'm totally seeing the girls from the movie The Craft. I don't care if she has NPD or just a big ego. The end result is that she is a selfish, childish lil bitch and I hope after she gets ripped apart in the reunion I never have to see or hear about her again.

Mrs big dick Rick is clearly on Cohen's shit list. The look on his face and the tone of his voice reeked of disdain. Bye bitch!!!

Shannon will be trying to get Sophie to wear that middle-aged mod look to her first college formal. Too many fillers combined with alcohol bloat = HR Puffinstuff. Uno Amiga is trying real hard to get herself one more season with her big reveal of something that happened two years ago. Way to handle it when it's a benefit to YOU, mommy dearest.

Liesabeth is incapable of giving a clear, fully truthful response. She hems and haws until the other person fills in the blank with thier assumption of what she's talking about.

Anyone: How are you doing elizabeth?

Liesabeth: oh, I'm, well, you know, it's, I'm, uh...(weird giggle)

Anyone: Is everything okay?

Liesabeth: well, no, yes, I mean, uh, Jimmy, you know...(weird giggle)

Anyone: so you two aren't getting along?

Liesabeth: something like that, I mean not all the time, most of the time we get along great, just...(weird giggle)

Anyone nods head up and down and smiles, knowing further probing will lead to no idea how Liesabeth is doing.

Gina and Ems I truly hope you get some better castmates to play with next year.

Braunwyn texting her daughter about the "good stuff " is really, really concerning to me.  If it were a man on the cast, we'd all be wondering if this man is trying to groom Shannon's daughter.   I'm wondering whether this was the ultimate goal.  That may sound like sick speculation, but none of us would text a teen offering alcohol.  [edit:  I didn't realize the "good stuff" meant drugs -- even worse!]

I'm thinking now that Braunwyn probably has some sort of personality disorder. Maybe Borderline Personality Disorder?

Just kidding.  I don't know - she's okay I guess but the real problem is she doesn't know any of these women and they don't really know her.   Even after an entire season.  I mean look at Gina and Emily; I don't think they would ever be friends but not for this show.   Probably never even run into each other.   And yet, with little in common besides having young kids and being on this show they seem to be real friends now.

It's probably the weirdest outfit I've seen on a HW's reunion show!  I have seen some fugly ones throughout the years of watching these reunions though.  I always wondered why they have to dress so OTT.  I would say to dress as normal as possible, but for many of these ladies, the word 'normal' isn't in their vocabulary.  Some of them can't pull off the Glam look.

Remember the scene when the Beador's went to the hotel for a "romantic" stay? As they are entering the bedroom, Shannon takes a huge chug of vodka from the bottle with a look of horror on her face.

I bet her drinking has been going on for awhile and the producers didn't focus as much on it, first year/two and all, possibly escalating during/post divorce, she probably thinks she's "handling" it well and doesn't watch herself on the show.

Being the third to Vicki and Tamra minimized her crazy. Now she sticks out like neon, even with Brown's never ending, over the top chaos.

+1000!  This is such an apt diagnosis!  The thing about her having been tested for Narcissism (NPD) and "cleared" is that narcissists are extremely difficult to diagnose, due to their extreme narcissism.  They simply fool the therapists with their charm.

Braunwyn is a Cluster of Cluster B's, with a large percentage what you linked to....Histrionic.  I have a friend who I self-diagnosed as Histrionic several years ago, and I see so much of Braunwyn in her.

If Braunwyn doesn't stop petting her fake ponytail, I'm gonna scream.  I wish someone would walk over and yank it off her head.

Mike Keough was very mean to Jeana, at least on camera.  Off camera, I suspect he was much worse.  And yes, I remember when Jeana said that his personality changed when he was hit with the baseball.  I was hit by a foul ball at a Major League game, on my right arm.  I was in the upper deck, and even from that far away, that hurt like a M-F'er.

It's really a battle between who is worst, Braunwyn vs. Kelly. But at the end of the day, I will give it to Kelly for spreading misinformation and for doubting whether or not Braunwyn is truly an addict. Both of those things have the potential for really harming people who are watching this mess, so while I do think Braunwyn has some deeply troubling issues, I still think Kelly is the worse person.

I suspect that the reason that both Kelly and Shannon are openly doubting Braunwyn on her addiction issues is because they don't want to examine their own relationships with alcohol. Whether or not they fit a classic definition of alcoholism, I think that they both are using alcohol as a crutch and they think that the fact that Braunwyn is addressing her alcoholism is an indictment of their own alcohol use. And that would suggest to me that both have a problem with drinking.

Both Gina and Emily came off well in this episode. Gina made her issues with Braunwyn clear but they didn't come off as hysterical like Kelly and Shannon. And Emily was also clear with her arguments. Not a huge fan of Elizabeth yet because I do think she has some issues telling the truth, even if I also agree that Braunwyn is not exactly a credible source in bringing up those issues.

ETA: I do agree with everyone who says that if Braunwyn admits to saying what she did to Shannon's daughter - which it seems like she does on the previews - she should be fired.

I'm in AA sober for almost four years and I don't tell anyone one thing about their drinking, unless they ask. I might have thoughts, but I mind my business. People get sober in their own way, if they are willing, and in their own time. Someone harping on me when I was deep in my addiction only made me drink more, as an f-you.

On a shallow note, I don't know why everyone talks about how attractive Brown Wind is. She has a tight body but is not attractive in any other way.

I got sober by joining AA but immersed myself by getting a good sponsor and actually working the steps. Attending meetings and listening to others' drunkalogues in itself is not usually a long term solution.  I am no longer actively involved but am not sure that I would have managed to put together 18 years of continuous sobriety without it, but am also not sure it's for everyone.

Having said that, I don't doubt for one second that Brown Wind is an alcoholic, and Kelly has no business questioning it and her argument sounds ridiculous.  Yes, there are some that are mandated by the court to attend AA but I have never seen anyone attend or even admit to being an alcoholic just for fun. But I think Brown Wind clearly also has a mental condition that needs to be treated -  if it is narcissism, not so easy. It is not at all unusual for an alcoholic to have a dual diagnosis.  I also think that Shannon and Kelly might need to have a good long look in the mirror based on their drinking behaviours. Although Kelly is a vile, vulgar piece of trash either way.

Kelly, to me, is a conundrum. She is crass and crude and reactionary, of which I am not a fan, but, she's occasionally astute. She does her research and asks educated questions about the vacation destinations, where the others are, usually, mainly interested in shopping and drinking. Like someone mentioned previously, she's like a monkey that periodically, unexpectedly, types out Shakespeare.

I don't think she was consciously trying to be racist with the "Drunk Wives Matter" hat. I think she thought it was a clever play on words and found it amusing, and the thought process ended there without considering that it might be perceived as offensive, and if she did, she didn't care, because SHE thought it was funny (which is not a valid excuse/rationalization, imo). At least she's not trying to pretend she's something she's not? (looking at you Braunwyn).

I am not sure if Kelly said, “I am black” referring to Braunwyn saying it or not... Perhaps it was clumsy version of saying she’s considered a minority/POC because she’s 59% Spanish/Portuguese (which is 59% more Spanish than the fraudster “Hilaria” Baldwin!!)and 30% Native American.  She posted her 23 & Me results on Instagram a while back. Kelly and Brauwyn are interesting conundrums. They’re on the opposite ends of the self awareness spectrum. Kelly has almost no self awareness. She reminds me of Ramona from RHNY in that way. Both of them seem to have almost no independent ability for self reflection. When they do reflect on themselves it’s usually because someone else forced an issues and even then it’s at the level of about an 5 or 6 year old. They both have a tendency to say things like “I was mad so I said that to hurt you.” Or “I wanted to leave so I was rude.” As if that both explains and justifies their behavior. Neither can quite grasp the concept that honesty isn’t the same thing as an apology. Brauwyn on the other hand is so self aware that it borders on performance art. She’s closer to Carole from RHNY where she is so aware of herself that nothing feels very honest. It’s hard for me to be sympathize to either of them because I always feel like there’s an agenda or con involved. I never really believed that either Brauwyn or Carole were feeling any emotion at all. I never really believe that Ramona or Kelly are sorry for anything they do.

I’m still not ready to pearl clutch about people questioning Brauwyn’s addiction story. Lots of people said that there was no way anyone would lie about cancer but Vicki did. I understand that it’s a sensitive topic and it’s not something people want to have to prove, but I also get why Brauwyn gets the side eye. Do I think Brauwyn is an alcoholic? Probably. Do I think Brauwyn really believes she’s an alcoholic? Ehhhhhh, maybe? Kelly and Shannon’s reasons are stupid though and amount to “I drink a lot too and I’m fine!” That’s just a dumb argument. With Shannon I buy that it’s some deflection from her own drinking. I don’t think that’s it with Kelly though. Without speaking to if she should, I don’t think Kelly worries about her own drinking at all. She just doesn’t worry about any of her own behavior in that way. I think she thinks Brauwyn is lying because she thinks Brauwyn is a liar. I’m with Gina. I believe Brauwyn has a problem and is making some sort of attempt at recovery, but I completely understand why people are doubting her.

I thought Brownshit looked awful in that getup, I also still think her and Sean are acting. Is he really that big a pansy to allow his wife to bring a lover into their home with small children? I also question whether she is an alcoholic. I think she’s just a drunk and if she’s addicted to anything it’s attention. I’m not a big Kelly fan but I enjoyed her telling off Brownie.

During Brown's declaration of her addiction problems, she included fame. I found Shannon's comment interesting, that Brown and Sean were at her house and one of them made the comment that they liked being noticed in public. Could this be fueling all the other ones? Granted the chick has serious problems, but she's so over the top on so many of them. That may be one of the reasons why old Sean sticks around. He likes it too.

Another comment was Kelly's. Something about Brown's agent told her to ?. Was it tone it down or amp it up? Too much noise to understand everything.

Stupid fake shows. Not only are the producers producing content now the agents are too.

To me Braunwyn is worse then Kelly because she’s an abusive predatory famewhore. Kelly is just an idiot. If ppl are using Kelly for medical advice then they too are complete idiots.

Elizabeth annoys me I’m not a fan but who cares if her and her bf have sex. Maybe they have a different type of relationship. Her bringing it up is dumb tho if she’s gonna get all upset about it. I can’t remember if she brought it up first on the show or if it was someone else.

Anyways like I said before Kelly is prob done. If you aren’t up Andy’s ass and you are talking back to him he usually wants you gone. It’s lame. We will see what happens tho.

I dunno...

Yeah, I'm sure that's the case. I'm just hoping it's bad editing!

Plus I can imagine that while Brauwyn, Kelly, and Shannon are probably equally terrible people, Brauwyn is possibly the easiest for the production crew to work with. She’s so hungry to be on the show that I imagine she shows up when and where they want her and will do just about anything they ask her to do. I’d also buy she’s reasonably nice to the crew. I think she sort of thinks of herself as an artist/actress/storyteller and so she thinks of the crew as her colleagues. I’m not saying they like her (she’s gotten enough shitty edits that I’d say the crew thinks she is complete full of shit about everything) but she’s probably pretty easy to work with. I imagine Emily, Gina, and Brauwyn are probably the nicest to the crew.

Shannon strikes me as a nightmare for the crew. She’s such a twitchy person so prone to overreact and she has a really mean streak in her when she feels like she’s being slighted. It wouldn’t surprise me if she has a long history of temper tantrums, endless demands, and very rude behavior to the production crew. They may be over catering to her and now that they have someone in Brauwyn who can bring just as much insane drama without the production headaches they may be willing to just let Shannon go.

Kelly I doubt is aggressively difficult but she has this weird Honey Badger streak to her where she just does what she wants in such a Can’t Stop Won’t  Stop way. I can imagine Kelly will do shit like plan a weeklong trip to NYC in the middle of a filming week and not tell anyone until the last minute. I doubt she’s aggressively nasty to the crew, but probably pretty oblivious to them being actual people with families and plans of their own and that they might get annoyed if she’s changing plans or not showing up or not communicating with them. So again, it may be less that the crew thinks Brauwyn is a better person than Kelly, but that she’s an easier person to film.

This is all total speculation though based on my own observations.

During Brown's declaration of her addiction problems, she included fame. I found Shannon's comment interesting, that Brown and Sean were at her house and one of them made the comment that they liked being noticed in public.

I have no problem believing this.   She told Andy that the paparazzi park outside her house - so she and Sean went shopping at a sex toy shop and of course the paps followed them.  She seemed rather pleased with the story.  Plus, if she hated the attention why choose that moment to take a trip to a sex toy shop - it's not like an emergency grocery run.

I think you are right. I do think that the ability to work with production is behind-the-scenes important as to who stays and who goes. And I think you are also correct that Braunwyn is probably not that difficult to work with but I suspect that Shannon is a total nightmare.  Kelly also seems like someone who off-and-on can be difficult to work with - like, occasionally, she seems like a reasonable human being but then will go off on you.

I think that Shannon must be really, really difficult to work with for production. I just have the sense that she feels like she can order them about, and not treat them professionally.

That being said, I suspect Kelly's gone after this season because of her social media use - I'm not sure Bravo sees any huge upside in keeping her on.

What did Elizabeth do to her to deserve this?

Well she did wear that really terrible outfit to the reunion.   😁

But seriously, the last time I saw Brownie and Liz together was during Liz's panic attack at the lake and I actually thought Brownie was pretty compassionate and helpful during the meltdown.   Then, the next thing I know Brownie grins while slapping Elisabeth with sketchy info that her ex-husband is engaged; something clearly designed to ambush and hurt Elisabeth on camera.

Who does that?   Oh yea, the same woman who runs title searches on her co-workers.

If Bravo gives the heave-ho to Kelly they are left with a pretty weak cast Emily, Gina, Shannon, Braunwyn and Elizabeth.  When Carole got the ax on NYC there was a strong cast left.  The same when Dorinda got the ax. Everytime they fire a housewife in and bring in a new one who has no connection with the current cast things don't usually go too well. I have a feeling that they will stay with what they have now as much as I would like to see Kelly and Braunwyn gone.

BrownWind is the one that really needs to go.  I could put up with all the rest if BW left.  I just don't want Tamra or Vikki back in her place.  They could either recast or bring back someone from the past that is not Tamra or Vikki.

Am I the only one that hated Elizabeth at first (esp. her conspiracy theories) but now I like her and that weird ass laugh?

I hope she is back next season.  Maybe she does tell half truths and has a difficult time answering question but I think it’s all related to her childhood.  She was taught to lie and cover things up and perhaps she is still doing that.  I like the boyfriend too.

Another thing that irritated me was that Andy asked Browndrunk if she thought Shannon was an alcoholic? Who the hell wants or needs Brownturds opinion?

I'm guessing Andy does, lol.

Answering this question was honestly one of the least offensive things Bronwyn has done, lol.  I mean, does ANYone think Shannon doesn't have a drinking problem?? Bueller??  However, I wish that instead of just saying "yes" she had given a more nuanced answer, that might have explained herself to them a little more.  I wish that she had explained it's not about the amount or frequency you drink, which seems to be the only criteria Shannon and Kelly seem to use.  It's about the consequences of your drinking, no matter how much or how little.  When I went to AA, it was because I had been hideously blindsided by a break up and was in a deep depression.  I would binge drink, which wasn't so much the problem as was the hangover the next day.  I was RIDDLED with anxiety and depression and self-loathing, and it scared me.  There were lots of people who questioned whether I was an alcoholic - it was bizarre to me.  "I have a problem and and am attempting to do something about it"..."No, you don't have problem, cut it out."  It was weird!  I may have been what I call a "situational alcoholic" but I had a problem and I got help for it.  That said, when people questioned if I really had a problem, I didn't get defensive - I just laughed it off and said, "pretty sure I would know best..."
