mythoughtis 18,871 March 4 Doc brought that on himself. He certainly did need to have told hope where he was going ahead of time. If they are a couple, she had a right to know if he’s leaving town. And given that he cheated on her before and that it took her 20 years to forgive him , he needs to be upfront about his travels. He also needed to not meet Muriel for lunch there and not involve her ( if he did) in his planning for his proposal. Given that he lied about what he was doing.
