Joy had to interrupt Sunny’s legal note just to say, “I don’t care.”  I think there’s some tension between the two of them, because Joy seems to care about something very much.

She was trying to make a joke referring to Melania’s “I don’t care” coat.

Oh, baby. Boulton questioned Sunny’s legal knowledge. She has flames coming out of her ears now.

I loved Katheryn Winnick on Vikings. She played one of the best female characters ever.  She looks so different in that clip. (I am not going to watch that show because I’m done with women in peril.)

Thanks for the explanation.  Maybe that’s what Joy meant.  I thought Joy just came off as hostile.

Joy addressed her rage over the past 4 years and we have all noticed on here and commented on  it.   She has said that people online have called her out on it.  Sunny said the same thing regarding herself.  The ladies were in good spirits and spoke of seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Coincidentally, I just watched that show last night without knowing anything at all about it other than the fact that Ryan Phillipe was in it and it was - unexpected.   Even though I didn't know what it was about, I didn't expect that!   And there was definitely a lot of peril for the lady folk.

Oh gosh, I just started fast forwarding when it is her turn to talk.

Well, it looks like Bolton was more prepared this time and was able to knock out both Sunny and Ana on today's show. They never saw it coming.

He put Sunny right into the corner  when he asked her what her knowledge was of the "Emoluments Clause " ('I have a very good understanding' was all she could choke out, with fire coming out of her nostrils). She then changed lanes, and asked him something else since she couldn't really answer his question, so she tried to get out of said corner. ( To paraphrase 'Dirty Dancing', "No one puts Sunny in the corner!")

He then questioned Ana why the (Democratic) House didn't impeach Trump for violating the Emoluments Clause. Sorry, but Bolton was spot on with this one, and now he put Ana in the corner. Ana turned it around and asked why he didn't testify, but he wasn't asked by either the House or the Senate, as he explained. Besides, he was talking about Emoluments Clause and why Dems didn't move to impeach on that last November - nothing for him to testify to on that. A defeated Ana changed tracks like Sunny did, because...'No one puts Ana in a corner!'

Nice play, Bolton. Nice play! Gotta give credit where credit is due.

Eh. Those questions were answered last time he was on. His appearance today was a rehash of old news. I’m not sure what the point was of having him again or why he bothered. Maybe the producers had trouble finding guests because of the holiday.

Whoopi didn’t even plug his book.

I love Christmas but am lazy about decorating. If I ever have kids, I'd get into it for them.

Joy was most definitely joking with her I really don't care response. haha

Some people have warmed up to Bolton just because of what he's saying about you know who. I won't say more to avoid getting OT.

I loved how Sunny responsed to Bolton when he tried to pretend the Trumps must not have broken the Emoluments Clause simply because Pelosi didn't Impeach him over it by pointing to the fact that people like him wouldn't even testify over something 100x more serious like the blackmail of Ukraine into election interference. If they don't care about that, why would they care about anything lesser?

I enjoyed Joy's way of addressing the comments that she's "angry" by pointing out the obvious, that she saw the Trump administration as putting the country on the brink of an overthrow of democracy for dictatorship. I don't think that was an uncommon perception, so I'm not sure why an explanation was needed? TBH, I never really saw that as anger on her part so much as she was being realistic about the country's situation the past four years.

Whoopie is just a human stopwatch at this point. Start talking and she will count down every five seconds with a “right”. It’s so distracting!

And she is not even doing that well.  The producers obviously have a speaking order set to roll and show Sara on screen  and she is ready to speak, but Whoopi calls on Sunny out of order.  If Whoopi can't even watch the screen, why not show the audience the teleprompter screen so we can read it ourselves?

Well that was odd. The show skipped from Sunny asking Bolton her follow up question to the middle of Ana asking whoever that celebrity was on. Wonder if the glitch was due to my Internet going  down around that time. But that makes no sense since I don’t need the Internet to watch television.

What I did see was Joy, Ana, and Sunny asking Bolton sharp questions and him answering in a non-answer way, as if he was someone who demonstrated Profile in Courage.

And Sunny didn’t say she just heard of or knew of the Emoluments Clause-she said there wasn’t enough time for her to get into it with him, and she had another question, which, as I mentioned above glitched out. So I didn’t see what other questions Ana, Sunny, and Sara had.

But I didn’t see any anger or hostility from Joy-she admitted that she’s been angry for the past four years, but now she’s happy.

And I totally got her “I don’t care; do you?” response as a tongue-in-cheek to what Melania had said, or that jacket she wore I think it was after that Hurricane in Puerto Rico.

🤷‍♀️

I got it too, but Joy said it in the middle of when Sunny was speaking, and Sunny may have thought Joy was interrupting to say that she didn't care about whatever Sunny was talking about. Sunny tends to take things literally and is often perplexed by humour and sarcasm.

I felt Joy's pain the past four years. For me it was like being in a pool and keeping my head just above water but feeling like at any moment I could go under. Now I feel like I'm standing in the pool but I won't be getting out of the pool until January 20th.

I didn't see it that way at all. Just Zoom cross talk; had they been in studio, it would have come across as their typical cross talk. But not in a bad way like Joy trying to speak over Sunny. This show has so many technical issues, it's not even funny. They work for Frackin' ABC, and have oodles of money.

His book is old news as it was published months ago and they interviewed him upon release. No need to plug it now. But Bolton has been making the interview rounds this weekend, trying to separate himself from Trump - as he did on 'The View'. I think the reason is obvious.

I wish they had separate interviews with Mika and Joe on different days. As it turns out, he monopolized 90% of the interview, with her sitting by his side and nodding approvingly. Pretty disappointing with two interesting guests.

Even before they got married, they ALWAYS went to interviews as a set. ALWAYS. Which I find very odd. As if one is afraid of what the other will say if they're not their with them.

I missed this. She did plug it, sort of. A picture of it was shown on the screen right before the ladies went to the interview.

Yes, there was a quick shot of the book cover with a mention he was the author of the best-seller, but no mention of it during the interview, as the last interview was focused on the book. Again, he wasn't there (or on other networks this week) to plug his book - it's old news.  I am no fan of Bolton's, but there's no denying he held his own with Sunny and Ana (much to their chagrin).

As for Mika, I do recall she was solo about a year or so ago, when she had released her recent book. It was a very pleasant interview where she wasn't interrupted by her husband.

Even if it doesn't go bad, it can ruin the morale of everyone else in the office as they see or imagine someone being favoured.

We were equals...we were both just new staff attorneys so there wasn’t any kind of subordinate and boss thing going on.  So no opportunity for favoritism.  I agree that that can affect an entire staff, but we weren’t in that position.

I get what joy said about being alone.  A couple of years ago, all of our kids and their families were elsewhere for thanksgiving, and it was just my husband and I and his brother and sister.  I offered to cook but everyone said it was too much trouble.  Everyone in his family loves to go to casinos, so his brother and sister had lots of points and said let’s go to the thanksgiving buffet at the casino.  Aside from the incredibly looooong line to get in (who knew so many celebrate thanksgiving at a casino!), we all agreed afterwards that it was the most depressing thanksgiving ever!  We still talk and laugh about it.  Never again!  This year it’s just us and his brother (who would be alone otherwise) as we all agreed not to get together except on Zoom.

Joe was talking about how Truman was considered a failure of a President at the time he left office, but history now judges him differently.

Whoopi's response: I  have to say, Joe, history will always tell us what we thought we knew. We always find out history has the 411 on everybody.

I completely understand Ana wanting to see her mother, COVID test required, and she will follow the guidelines.

However, I don't understand her being exposed to all those people in airports and her husband, who recently had COVID, going.   Maybe she flies in a private plane?

The first thing I thought of was her husband who just battled COVID. But then I realized he must have the antibodies, so he is considered 'safe' from getting it again (according to most medical experts, though the jury is still out). The others mentioned her mother had a very tough year this year, so they understood her going (and encouraged her to do so). I wonder if they were referring to COVID? She didn't elaborate on what her mother went through this year.

Meanwhile, Sunny looked so despondent when she talked about what she was doing for Thanksgiving. It's just going to be the family she lives with (husband, mother, son and daughter) and the joy of the holiday has completely evaporated within her. Her tone and the look on her face suggested she was going to visit them all in prison. I can only imagine the tension running through that household right now, and it's certainly taking it's toll on Sunny.

I feel for you Ana.  That's rough no matter how you do it.  We had a lovely situation pop up yesterday..during a joint briefing the Mayor and the Gov pleaded once more to stay home etc.  20 minutes later the Mayor was on a plane w/ family to the east coast and the Gov was diagnosed positive!  aaaah the memories... 🙃 🍾  Cheers Sweetie

I've thought about getting them. I just love long hair! It's so pretty and feminine to me. I've seen lots that look natural. I think it depends on the extension type and maybe skill of the person who attached them?

I saw a video of how the human hair for the hair extensions  is acquired.  it was awful.  women living in poverty in Cambodia were being persuaded to sell their hair for very small amounts of money, which they needed to feed their families.  Women were crying, not wanting to give up their hair, but feeling like they had no other choice.  It made me very sad.  If I ever had to get a wig, I would want to know exactly how the hair was acquired.

Ugh that is so sad. I will definitely do research on how the hair is acquired before getting any extensions. I try to be mindful of where I put my money, but it can be tricky. Most people do not put thought into all the money they spend on companies that test on animals, use sweat shops, are antigay, etc.
