What I want to know is why does it look like his fly is unzipped. Lord help me I enlarged it and still could not figure out what was going on. It felt creepy the child is old enough to be my grandson. I shouldn't be looking at his crouch that close.

That's the first thing I thought. The fly is unzipped or he has a tag  or something stuck to the crotch. Looks very strange.

There was a soap opera character named Cord years ago on One Life to Live.  His first name was actually Cordero, because, as we all know, romantic leads on soaps have to have odd names.  Maybe your classmate's mom watched OLTL.

I have a cousin with a daughter named Fallon.  Her mom was a big fan of Dynasty back in the day.  I think every Fallon I've ever met was named after the Dynasty character.

Be still my heart! @doodlebug you reminded me of Cordero Roberts, my OLTL heartthrob, who started many sentences with "Gurl...." My sister sent me a signed (by her!) and personalized head shot of him. Oh, that still makes me laugh!  As do all the comments here about dressing for weddings in your work clothes, lack of hair brushing for a wedding, etc. These fundies make us laugh, don't they?

Christmas?  I guess the parents had something against the name Natalie .  I suspect everyone who names their kid after a place did so because that was where he/she was conceived.

Do we want to take any guesses on who will be in the bridal party for these love birds? Do you think they will announce the wedding date or we will get the information a few days before the nuptials?

Except Bin and Jessa Agressa.

Definitely not the Palin family.

I actually appreciate that Jessa is the dominant one in that relationship. It’s nice to see a Duggar female who takes charge.

OK, I'm confused... If there were only 4 kids (2 brothers, 1 sister, and your friend), how was Ceven the seventh kid? Or was their counting like their spelling?

Has Jackson ever gotten to be a groomsmen yet? Maybe this is finally his time...

Ceven was her mom's 7th kid but she had 3 with her 1st husband.

Or Noel at least. It still means Christmas, but isn’t quite so “in your face.”

Naming kids after where they were conceived is just weird.

Considering that Claire and Justin will be considering baby names in the next year, so we think they’ll go traditional, trendy, Biblical, or name the baby after place of conception weird?

Between all the Duggar boys and Spivey siblings there will be at least 10 groomsmen. For Duggar girls, maybe Joy and the Lost girls? Bigger question, will the Dillards be there? Since we’re guessing Valentines Day weekend, won’t Dreck have the excuse of school?

What does it say about the Duggar way of doing things that the Duggar daughters AND sons conform more to their spouses? What does it also say about Jessa that she is the exception to that rule?

It says Jessa is afraid of her own shadow, and wants to keep the show going. And honestly, I think Jill wanted to wear pants and get her nose pierced and it didn't have anything to do with following Derick. But for the push for TLC money, I think Jill pretty much runs the show in her house too.

I remember conducting a parent teacher conference with a mom and dad back in my teaching days .  Their son was named Lexus Harley.  I asked them how they chose that interesting name.  They said his first name was it was because he was conceived in the back seat of a Lexus and they liked to ride on a Harley...

Oh whoa. Mrs Spivey has topped the infamous Michelle/Kelly Tin Man Dress. I didn't think it could be done, but she did it! I want to see a full length picture of her to see if its even worse.

I couldn't see Mrs. Spivey's dress. She was wearing a dressy coat over another a top. It doesn't look that bad, but maybe there's another picture.

It was the overly ruffled blazer combined with the hat I was referring to.

Isn't that the "We're married now! Eat your hearts out other Duggar boys!" position?

For both of them. Her butt on his thigh and, especially, his hand, which looks to me to be well above the knee and sort of spanning a bit of the thigh gap there.

Have other Duggars done that stuff in photos while merely engaged? I don't remember seeing it. (...also interesting that nobody else in the wedding party is, er, performing in a similar way....)

Beginning to wonder whether Justin did get shipped to Texas because he and Claire were caught in a compromising position in the prayer closet.

Umm.... those 3 would still count as siblings.  Granted technically half siblings.... but still.

Yeah. It's two completely self-absorbed teenagers who've just been handed a license to have sex and pretend they're adults by playing house for real. In a massively repressed culture, no less. So they're wholly absorbed in showing that off.

It's rude and childish. Because they care basically nothing about anything else that's going on, I expect.

Nothing I've written about them here has been intended as a compliment, by the way!

Normally they would but the 3 older ones are in their 50s and the youngest 4 are late 20s to 37

I don't think Christmas is so bad as a name. Provides a ready made nickname of Chris.

On the old "Three's Company" sitcom, Chrissy (the character played by Suzanne Somers) tried to keep her friends from finding out that her given name was actually "Christmas". She was especially embarrassed about it because her last name was "Snow".

I still think it's telling and scary that Justin has all but disappeared into that family, clearly needing and revelling in the attention he's finally getting.

Might come home to roost though, the Mammy-in-Law to be seems VERY attention craving and enjoy feeling nearly famous.

Sad to think what goes on in that family that all the barely adult children flee that house as soon as they can

I went to school with a "Merry" but it was a nickname for Meredith. Of all the Christmas-themed names, I think it's the least ridiculous.

I had a student named Holiday once, but I don't think she was born on any holiday.

Getting back on topic (kind of), I wonder if any of the Duggars will ever get extra creative with theme naming. So far we have Josh and Anna with the M theme, Josiah and Lauren with alphabetical (she did confirm that, right?), and Jessa and Ben with their "Christian heroes" theme that's kind of fizzled out to middle names... none of these themes are particularly outrageous. I want someone to get crazy with a theme :)

It was Chrissy's full name on Three's Company. (Chrissy was Suzanne Somer's character.

Topic: Justin is too young to be getting married imo.

I wish Ben and Jessa had stuck with the outrageous Christian names, Spurgeon,Wilberforce but then Jane sounds so boring although they could’ve called her Seymour but that sounds too much like a boys name. It’s a shame really, we all could’ve sat hit here guessing what crazy name will they come up with next while trying to peep at the names on their bookshelf’s on counting on.

Actually it wasn't Jane Seymour but Jane Gray, so she could have been Gray.

Taking my response to the Josiah and Lauren thread.

Hilary is loving the “social media management” isn’t she? When someone says your child is pretty, the common response is “Thank you so much.” (Totally normal) Yes people have been saying that she looks like Jana (which I think she does), but something is telling me Hilary LOVES THAT Claire looks like Jana.

This one was a teen neighbor of one of my high school friends back 40+ years ago.  She went to Catholic schools and I'd be surprised if she'd ended up in porn.  Her parents thought it was really clever and fun to connect her first and last names that way.  I'm not sure she necessarily agreed.

Time will tell.

But Hilarys husband has an actual job and provides for his family. David is a lazy, slob, grifter. and Spivey probably feed their kids more than once a day.

Jill Rod is just a thirsty fame ho. And she can’t snag a Duggar boy for any of her starved girls to save her life.

I'm starting to think she could overtake JRod! Mrs. Spivey has the added benefit of not immediately appearing to be batsh*t crazy, so she sneaks up on you. JRod is just full on crazy train from the jump, so you expect it.

Unless I see evidence that Mrs. Robinson Spivey keeps her children malnourished and dresses them in rags, JillR is worse, IMO. WAY worse.
