Kromm July 24, 2014 Share July 24, 2014 Does the development deal strictly mean they would be acting in the show? I mean, could it mean they would write for a show? Tina Fey has an NBC Universal development deal and she will be behind the scenes in the many shows that get picked up. In the past I don't think they've been guaranteed anything more than a Comedy Central special (which many of them already had done previously anyway), and the rest of the "development" seems like it mostly meant maybe their name got tossed into a ring for possible pilots, but with no assurance (and as far as I can tell, no show winner actually getting a show out of it--and if any of them got actual pilots filmed it stayed under the radar), The main reward of the deal is sure to be MONEY. The deal probably gives them money just for being in it, whether something is produced or not. 1 Link to comment
