Hey y'all, I got the scoop. During the "speak now for forever hold your peace" portion of the wedding, a woman in a mumu stood, up, ripped of her wig and exclaimed,

"Thank you, Dr. Pepper. Well, I cannot tell you all how deeply moved I am. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that Ashley would be the object of so much genuine affection. It makes it all the more difficult for me to say what I'm now going to say. Yes. I do feel it's time to set the record straight. You see, I didn't come here just as a wedding guest, Dr. Pepper, I came to this church to settle an old score. Now you all know that my Ashley was a brilliant social worker; she saved all the children. What you don't know is that to Ashley's family, she was an unmerciful tyrant - a absolute dodo bird. She drove me, her boyfriend, to - to drink; in fact, she - uh, she she she went riding one time and lost all her teeth..."

Unfortunately, the producers couldn't get permission from the boyfriend to air that scene so they had to go through with the wedding and pretend it never happened after he was escorted out. Terribly embarrassing and awkward for all.

Did you just make that up or its for real?

Interesting stuff. I wonder how close he is with either one. He's not connected to either on facebook.

Also, I wonder who/why she would have someone arrested at the wedding. That's weird.

He has a mutual friend with one of them.. I heard about the part about having someone arrested before this guy wrote anything.

Hmmm. I wonder how "her friend attacked a producer" turns into "Ashley got them arrested".

I don't know where you saw Ashley got them arrested. I think she meant the friend got arrested. She (the owner of the twitter account) is limited by the number of allowable characters. Edited by ctbabe

Sorry, was referring to this from the same poster:

@mjfish2 Rumor going around Ashley had a friend arrested at the wedding. You were the best man right? True or false?

I read it as "Ashley was responsible for having the friend arrested" whereas it most likely should be read "Ashley has a friend who was arrested".

It's late. I need to stop obsessing and go to sleep.

I understand... twitter requires shorthand.. I actually noticed that they (David and Ashley) were friendly until he did his first knot interview.. I wish Ash people didn't start the bashing.

I definitely believe that David was prompted by producers to talk because they couldn't get anything out of Ashley. What really scares me is that there was a worse couple that was replaced by Sam and Neil.

I can also buy this sequence of events.

Ashley and David part amicably.

Show airs and Ashley looks like as ass.

Ashley's super classy friends go on twitter and trash David.

Ashley trashes David

David defends himself and gloves comes off with Ashley.

I just got done watching season 1 of Married At First Sight and seeing Courtny and Jason's story and after seeing that I really don't think any of the season 3 couples are going to make it in the long haul. Sam and Neil might stay married a little bit after the show but it won't last long.

After seeing season 1 I don't think the people of this season (except David and Neil) are ready to be married.

Don't forget:

Either Ashley herself or her family members create multiple sock puppet accounts at various discussion boards to belittle and undermine David.

It's pretty shitty if they were indeed friends until Ashley started getting hate from viewers and then she had her family and friends trash him. What a horrible person! You can defend yourself without throwing the other person under the bus. That's just vile.

BTW I watched some of episode 3 again, because I wanted to see David's reaction to finding out their honeymoon destination. He just smiled and said "We're going to the desert!" and then Ashley said she's never been there before, but we didn't hear David saying he has. But anyway, I was shocked because throughout the episode Ashley was smiling, laughing, joking and even a bit flirty. I don't know if it was the alcohol or simply relief after getting through the wedding, but she was a like a different person! I remember I was hopeful about them after that episode, but then she turned into a cold fish in episode 4 and it's been getting worse ever since.

I think the fake twitter account preceded the hate though, the first tweet was made Dec 3rd which was the matchmaking episodes and from memory we thought Ashley was normal. The comments started after the wedding episode which aired Deb 8th,  Ashley's friends were referring people to the tweets from very early in the season I am not sure if they did it before or after the wedding episode aired, whichever one it was the allegations had already been made before we knew about Ashley's coldness.

None of this stuff adds up for me. If Ashley found out something alarming she would have no trouble breaking the contract and just leaving, and might even have a basis for legal action.

Don't understand.

It is highly possible/probable that Ashley and Co found out the negative information about David at the same time the viewers did (most of the negative info came after MAFS revealed the names of the cast but before the premiere); although, it doesn't explain the shift in attitude from episode 3-4. Who knows what was said to her during filming and there is no way to verify what's been edited out, what direction they received from production, or even how David acted on/off camera. I'm inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt simply because I'm 100% sure that the viewers aren't getting a full and accurate representation of things. This isn't a documentary, it's a reality tv show.

I was thinking about this today.. there is no way the producers can show a 100% of what happened. They would need big brother format.. 24hrs camera. David said in his first interview that their honeymoon was challenging. Maybe she had a 'what did i get myself into moment' and she closed up. I don't believe the 2face allegations.. there are so many contradictions from camp Ashley that I don't believe them

I get it and I have to say that outside of these forums I haven't really been privvy to a lot of what they might have said (I'm not on twitter and only follow the show site on facebook and I don't read every comment or thread on there either).  I know it's impossible to show everything because of the show's format and filming, but when 6 weeks of activity is boiled down to 10, 40 minute episodes it does leave substantial room for editing (however biased) and a significant portion of their interactions with each other aren't shown.

IMO, I think that unless whoever David was matched with wasn't all goo-goo gah-gah over him within the first couple of days he'd consider it "challenging".  Now is that because David is a creepy weirdo or is it because he's a nice guy who trusted the process and the matchmakers?  I have no idea.  I also don't know if there is any validity to the concerns/accusations from Ashley's camp.  Maybe they're trying to save face because the show has put her in a bad light, or maybe they're angry that their friend was paired with someone who has so many questions lurking about.  The original intention in me looking into David's legal history was to try and resolve some ambiguity on the aforementioned things.  Unfortunately, because none of it is completely proven, it's only made me more confused....

I know they can't show everything, but it seems like they are already manufacturing stuff for David and Ashley as it is bc there is so little going on between them.

I wonder if there has been some more substantive arguing going on between them that the show has chosen not to air?

Like if she found something out and confronted him.

For all we know he told her about his conviction and it freaked her out and added to her intention to just stonewall him.

Idk. I know so many people hate her and think she's just a bitch but I wonder if there's a bit more to it than that?

I mean, I understand from other posts that his offense was a long time ago and was pretty minor, but if the purpose of the match was for her to try to build a relationship with someone who was otherwise a good match, and if she's kind of a tight-ass in general to begin with, she might have just shut down. What I am trying to say is that if she thought she was compromising in looks in order to get someone of good character, she might be pissed if he turned out to be an actual person with a past.

I agree BBDi. Again, this is total speculation on my part, but I'm wondering if they went to Phoenix for their honeymoon because of legal issues that wouldn't allow one of them to leave the country. I believe I saw something about how the producers worked out a special arrangement for Sean last year to go to Colorado when he was under law enforcement supervision in NJ. IF that is why they stayed in the states, I'm sure some questions would have come up about why the person couldn't leave the country, etc.. Perhaps this is why the honeymoon was challenging? That would coincide with the timing of the attitude shift between them, too.

Thinking about it, they all can make a case against editing.

David 'was made' to look extremely needy and delusional.

Ashley 'was made' to look uninterested and boring.

Sam was just plain rude and disrespectful (I don't think they could have edited her to look better).

Neil was made to look weak and nerdy. Not that being a nerd is bad.

Vanessa was made to look insecure.

Tres was made to look immature.

They can all make a case against the editor.. The producers only work with the material they are given. If you are smiling every time, it would be impossible for the producers to produce a frowning face. Some just accept the editing and apologize for their word and others complain every single time about the unfairness. Life is not fair

Yeah I know that (re editing). Ashley looks miserable pretty much all the time, except when she's not with David.

It seems so fake in her THs when she talks about how she's trying, and in David's THs when he talks about falling in love. It was laughable when she tried to act mad that he was going to Buffalo by himself when she was actually relieved.

Who ARE these people? The only thing that seemed real in that episode is when David pointed out the ways he's tried to get to know her.

Like, if there's real sh*t going on, I want to see it. Finding stuff out about each other's pasts is a very real part of marriage - why not show it if it happened?

And most of them have said in interviews that editing isn't a factor. What we see onscreen accurately reflects what was happening.

My guess is that if they showed her discovering a sorted past that included a criminal history (especially one that included a violent offense regardless of the degree), they probably wouldn't have a show left to produce. With the amount of sh*t they received from viewers after the whole Jess/Ryan stuff started hitting the fan, only to have a criminal cast in the very next season? It wouldn't go over well, me thinks.

They can't show everything.. what you consider interesting might not be interesting to me. I just think Ashley doesn't want the relationship to work that's why she created the physical and emotional distance. Dr Logan said on twitter that Ash was shell shocked for the first 3weeks but I didn't really see a difference on the 4th week.

Ashley's friend said on twitter that David didn't communicate with Ash off camera but it was inferred that David was being excessively physical off camera during Dr C's discussion. The way ashley said really when David agreed to take physical off the table. I am so confused by them.. I think Camp Ash should just say and stick with the truth.

Who confirmed that it was actually him ?

It hasn't been confirmed via mugshot, but David's full name, birthday, and physical location all match up. It even has him listed as being from a town that is 30 minutes away from both the college where he went and the job he took after he left Arizona. Not confirmation, but enough coincidences to make it seem likely.

First it has yet to be confirmed. I think someone else pointed out how easily it is for another person with a similar age and name living near by can happen when they had one number off an address (if I am wrong on that please correct it) and that it can cause a problem. I said as well that I could travel to a couple different places and run into other girls with my name and wouldn't be surprised if the same age. I would hope that people would confirm officially first that it was me or whoever else if someone with my name and age did something wrong before spreading it all over the place. Until we see real 100% proof I'm not going to say its him or not. Plus on top of it wasn't the knife part wasn't even in that info on the court record and I would think it would be in some way. If the tabloids could get Sean's DUI mugshot then I would think if David had one they would him as well. And one other point that many of us have made as well...David hasn't shown one sign of being a fly off the handle abuser. He has been more then calm with her when she has been either cold as can be and not engaging in any conversations or when she was flying off the handle over the stupid text and getting a little on the loud sound. As I said before I doubt most of us would have been so calm ourselves in some of those situations.

It doesn't make sence to me that Ashley knew of David's arrest record, if one even exists. If so, why would she sleep in bed with him? She'd supposedly be putting herself in danger. I don't think Ashley's bad behavior and lack of spark is just what it appears to be.

Editing does make a difference.  I am sure the producers want drama or none of us would be watching.

With the accusations thrown out by camp Ashley if they had concrete proof that it was David IMO we would have seen it by now. They have proven over and over that they are not above slinging mud and making insinuations about David to excuse Ashley's behavior during the experiment. They seem to forget Ashley shut down straight after the ceremony and she could not have found out that early.

She is an adult who married a stranger even if David turned out to be a serial killer that is on production and the experts for not weeding him out. Cortney did an interview in the last few day that said that the requests she made before matching even went into penis size so surely Ashley could have made any criminal record a deal breaker, the experts have ignored them in the past but she would have had a legitimate beef against production/experts if they ignored that.

On location of the honeymoon having to do with his criminal past (if it is him) I looked at the record and it was all completely closed long ago Sean was still on probation from his DUI and had to seek permission from the courts to leave the state for his honeymoon. They are completely different scenarios.
