Does anyone know who is filling in for Meghan this week?

They'll probably only go with 4 until her return.  Meg's impending maternity leave was probably one reason they brought Sara back right away.

It was funny that the ladies congratulated Meghan and kept forgetting about Ben and his contribution to the baby.

Whoopi: The baby's name is Liberty Sage McCain.......oh and Domenich.

Sara: Congrats to Meghan....oh and Ben.

LOL, it made me laugh that they forget about him completely. It makes me think that while they know Meghan, they don't know much about Ben or care for him.

The media keeps pushing this “no excitement” thing when it comes to Biden, yet I keep seeing Biden/Harris signs in places I never expected. In fact I just saw a huge Biden/Harris billboard in rural East Tennessee. Who exactly are these media figures talking to?

This talk about  the lack of enthusiasm for Biden bothers me because it does not seem to match what I am seeing on the ground.  I think people have had it and want a change.  The media treat our elections like it is a sporting event, whipping both sides into a frenzy, it is a sobering process that will determine our future. I am usually a fan of Martha but she is not getting this right.. People like Martha are only obsessed with Trump voters so it is par for the course..

Yep. They want a horse race so bad.

I hope this isn't off topic but if we are talking about enthusiasm for the candidates I think the media is confusing what Trump supporters do to show their enthusiasm and what Biden supporters do to show theirs as being comparable.  Where I live there is a parade of cars every weekend flying Trump flags that drive about 30 miles showing their support. People support their candidate in different ways.

Well, that baby announcement was short and sweet.  I saw it last night on People magazine, so, you are right.  One more time, the media, Martha is playing into Trumps handbook.  Do we really need negativity about Biden, when Trumps world is going up in flames.  2016 was as much the media’s fault as Trump, remember the CBS head, Julie Chen’s husband, saying he was good for business, so they gave him all that free coverage.

Exactly! I don't think it is off-topic because Joy spoke about the enthusiasm on the left and she seemed to be annoyed with Martha.

Are they able to see each other remotely like a Zoom meeting?

Chuck S. said "all I have is this camera" when talking to Sunny.

Why, after all these weeks, do they continue to interrupt each other?  This is the only show that has yet to learn Zoom etiquette.  It's maddening.  I adore Joy, but she needs to shutty after what appears to be the end of her comment.

These women can NOT understand the 2-3 second delay and it’s hell for the viewer.

I actually think Sara handles the delay pretty well. She seems to know when Whoopi is going to ask her a question so starts talking likely as Whoopi is finishing to avoid any kind of delay.

The crosstalk is a complete clusterf though.

Exactly. I personally think more aggression than enthusiasm when I see those folks. There are tons of Biden supporters who are very enthusiastic about him but aren't in your face about it.

I WISH they would come back into the studio.  No audience.  Put them at a table where they are spaced far apart, sort of like what they do at the TODAY show.  It is so irritating the way they can't coordinate comments and end up talking over each other.  Then Whoopi gets visibly irritated and everyone stops.  Then they start again with the over-talk.

OK - I DID IT!

I actually bought something from VIEW YOUR DEAL. I bought the Wolferman's English muffins, because I used to buy these all the time for Christmas gifts (their breakfast box is the best gift) and treat myself from time to time, but not too often (they're fattening and expensive).  The company ended up going out of business a while ago (I think it was 2008-09, at the time of the recession) and I was surprised to see they were back under new owners a few years ago. So now I'm trying them again at 'half off'.

I have to say, I had to switch browsers to do so. The site was taking forever to load on Chrome, so I switched to Firefox and had no problems. Hopefully they will be here without delay, and I will report back.

Wolferman's are amazing!!  I actually received a basket of breakfast food items when my Mom passed away as a condolence gift, and it was so yummy!!  I've sent the same basket several times for the same reason, and usually order myself a package or two of the Enghlish muffins.

That was a good deal, and I was very tempted!!  Hope you enjoy them!

Yeah, the one really good or really bad thing about this format (depending on how you look at it) is that it is next to impossible to misread the expressions on the hosts' faces since they are right there facing forward on our screen in their Brady Bunch squares at all times so it's easy to see who is pissed and/or frustrated.  Spoiler Alert: It's usually Whoopi, Meghan or Joy OR Whoopi, Meghan, and Joy.

Also, Joy's face was my face this morning during Whoopi's "Congratulations to Megamouth and whatshisface on the birth of little Liberty Bell...!!"

The table won't stop them from talking over one another - they did that all the time when they were in the studio pre-Covid.

I do wish they would come back, too, but I think the Joy is really not comfortable at all with that - she's mentioned several times already that she is still staying home for the most part and will not feel comfortable going out until there is a vaccine or the virus goes away), and I think that Whoopi is very very comfortable working from home (she's probably not even wearing pants, LOL!!).

No it won't but since they can't seem to learn zoom etiquette, at least half the show won't be "no you go ahead"  silence "no you go ahead"  both talk ......and so on and so on

... My friend’s dog is named Liberty...

President Ford's dog was named Liberty. Is anyone else old enough to remember the old SNL Chevy Chase Gerald Ford skits with the stuffed Liberty?

One of my co-workers was named Liberty...in Farsi. Azadeh (pronounced Uz-AH-day) but always called Azi (pronounced Ozzy). She was born the year Iranian women got the vote.

On topic? Schumer is such a snooze. And a wimp. Can't the Dems get a better Senate leader????

Joy won't go back, Whoppi won't either because of her health issues and she shouldn't, and Meghan won't go back with a new baby. Sunny won't go back because her mother lives with her.

Sunny and Sara were fools for going in the studio when COVID first started in NY.

They need to get it together remotely. CNN can do it!

Lmao! I noticed that too. Joy is really kind and patient with Meghan, considering how poorly the she’s treated. I don’t blame her for not gushing today.

Well that wasn't an interesting show today...

AS I said last week, these interview segments go on too long. As much as I like Schumer, turning the majority of the show over to his interview was way too long. The guest tends to repeat themselves, to get their talking points across. It's too much, too boring.

Whoopi is throwing major shade at her co-hosts by saying that she can relate with Chris Wallace.  It felt very familiar for her, she says.  Oh please, Whoopi.   Major eye roll.

I guess that's why she thought he did a good job, when he clearly didn't.

Love Bernie!  Too bad he never got to debate trump.

Ana is on today.

I'm excited but nervous to see Bernie on the show, especially what happened the last time.

I must have missed that. I can guess, but- what happened?

Why?  The mountains of Vermont?

The mountains are beautiful, for sure!  It's just the contrast of curmudgeonly Bernie sitting in front of them struck me as funny when I first saw him.  Like he's going to suddenly stand up and turn around and start frolicking through the hills or something.

I thought Ana's questions to Bernie were tone deaf. Asking Bernie if Biden is a socialist or a communist sympathize when she herself accused Bernie of these things when he was running. Then asking the stupid question regarding his supporters. Bernie has already answered this question multiple times. It's dumb and we don't need to go over this over and over again.

Edit: Ana also said that Bernie had a lot of Latino support, but not in Florida. Forgetting that Florida Latinos tend to vote red and they are not voting for Biden either. Ugh, I'm so annoyed with her questions.
