Kerstin Lindquist: Bad to the (Pubic) Bone

Recommended Posts

That sentence doesn’t make complete sense but is she saying she knows what prayer to say to bring a life to an end? Like, she prayed for her mum to be “taken”, it worked (she believes) and now she’s saying she can repeat it? Doesn’t seem very Godly to be praying for folks to die. I thought that was His decision to take.

She probably meant to write that there is "no fear" when you know what glory awaits you on the other side.

So does she want to help people better their lives, or does she want to be the Doctor Kevorkian of spirituality for people she's never met who are suffering?

She did nothing to boost that woman's spirits. Just made her hope that Kerstin's death prayer would work.

I don't feel comfortable with her three times a day broccoli habit. So I certainly don't feel comfortable with her spiritual advice.

Maybe she can get a job behind the scenes at the package delivery company where her husband works, because she is not good at helping human beings.

I cannot bear to look at her Instagram any more, but one of her posts when her mother passed away was something to the effect of "this is what you prayed for, so God answered your prayer" or something like that.  I think one of her family members said it to her, because they'd seen her the night before, praying for her mother's pain to end.

I think she's just interweaving this person's cry for help with her own mother's illness, saying "I know what you're going through, since I also prayed my mother's life of pain would end".

My dad was a psychiatrist.....he would be mad as hell at her response this poor person.  I'm just a human being and I'm pretty mad as hell, too.

She’s presenting the TSV Oster oven.
“microwaves aren’t good for you or your body”.
Evidence for that please Kerstin?

It might have been

“microwaves aren’t good for your food or your body”.
Look at me, giving her a break  😇

But still, evidence for that Kerstin?

Oh my. The caller Mira who just called in. She’s sight impaired and wanted to know if the buttons on the oven were touch friendly. Kerstin tried to help, I’m not sure she represented the product completely but she didn’t lie, so well done for that K.

My best friend is sight impaired and because he’s very capable (inspirational actually) it’s easy to forget how small things like this have a massive impact on the usability of a product. I think we sometimes overlook how product descriptions on tv shopping channels is helpful to people who have impaired vision.

Must be a bad day at work today for Kerstinky? She actually had to handle unhealthy looking food!!  Shudders!! She seemed uneasy handling the cookies and cinnamon buns and was trying hard to rationalize it if a vegetable could be found.

I don't know who she's getting her spiritual advice from, but she sounds like she drank the Kool-Aide. She should stop giving advice to anyone, before something happens.

She's probably trying to figure out how she is going to fit all of them into her Lug bag.

For all we know, the paltry plates of broccoli and beans could be props for her health guru schtick.

Wishing an undercover family member who is regularly denied sweets would provide us with some "Caught On Tape" evidence of her gorging on baked goods.

Yes, I was watching this presentation as well. Kirsten did a great job with that caller's questions, and with the entire couple of hours being in the kitchen. I don't recall ever seeing her hosting kitchen/cooking shows in the past, but maybe I just missed them. Either way, it's was interesting to see her out of her norm, and I thought she was excellent! 🙂

Either way, it's was interesting to see her out of her norm, and I thought she was excellent! 🙂

Last January they gave her an hour-long show once a week and it lasted 6 weeks, tops.  Its focus was on eating healthier, and featured food/beverage items and kitchen products that could be used to further that along.  For the most part that's the way it went, but there were cooking demos with guest OAPs and not everything being made was to her liking.  It wasn't hard to see it.  Even with the stuff she liked she would only eat small bites.  I hate to say it, but if you're expounding on the wonderfulness of a food item or something made during a demo and you're telling the truth, taking small nibbles doesn't help in the convincing department.  Although I will add that wolfing it down isn't exactly the best thing to do either, and based on some of the food products I've tried that have appeared on Q and HSN food shows a great deal of lying is going on.

So while she was a team player and definitely went out of her comfort zone yesterday, and she can do kitchen/food shows, it's best if they're tailored for her and management knows that.  Gourmet Holiday is absolutely not for her, whether the hosts are eating or not.  But as they sometimes do, give her shows with food/beverage items she's good with (plant-based, salmon, Nutrisystem, 8Greens, etc), products that can have demos filled with things that she's good with (any type of blender, for example), and she's in her wheelhouse.

Meaning of “-quist” is “twig”  🤣 That’s ironic.

(watching The Masters golf. a player’s last name Is Lundquist. then I wondered about the “-quist”. I know it’s her married name, but still.)

Sorry, if someone’s already posted about this earth shattering tidbit. 😄

Another random thing:  A well-known hockey goaltender has the name of Lundquist, Henrik is his first name, and he is one of the most famous hockey players Sweden has ever produced.  When the Winter Olympics come around or the World Championships come around and he's available, he's their man.  He spent his NHL career with the NY Rangers before signing with the Washington Capitals in the past off-season but hasn't played yet because he had to have his aortic valve replaced.

This woman is just weird.

Says she knows grieving is a long process.

"I read 1-2 years.  And that you'll never fully get over the loss.  Especially that mother-daughter one, I hear is a really hard one."

You read?  You hear?  Doesn't everyone heal in their own time?

You needed a book to confirm a timetable for emotionally dealing with the death of a parent?

It's not a broken arm.  It's a broken heart.  Not as scientific.

Maybe she is just in shock.  Looking for solace.  Maybe I should just give her a break.

Maybe she should be turning to family, friends and her religious community* in times of need, not a bunch of strangers on the internet.

*has she ever spoken about going to an actual place of worship?

I can’t believe she keeps her pool open all winter.  She posted a pic of herself in the pool with her daughter in a bikini, sitting in a snow bank next to the pool.  What person, in their right mind, let’s their child sit in the snow in a bikini?  The picture was posted on Feb 2, 2021.

I don’t follow her, but these statements make me wonder the same thing.  Talk to your husband, family, good friends.  Not your public Q social media. 😖😢

@ Bronx Babe, I'm replying here to your question about Kerstin on the Shopping Channel Hosts thread. I couldn't get your question from that thread to quote here, on a different thread.

Anyway you said you had dozed off and thought you heard Kerstin say she was half Syrian and was darker on the bottom half of her body. You wondered if you were dreaming. Nope, you heard it right -- she did say she was half Syrian. About the bottom half of her body being darker, she was referring to the QVC studio closeup that only showed her head and shoulders. This happened on the IT Cosmetics show at 4:00 p.m. Sunday April 11. I found the product video with the half Syrian comment. That video did not have closed captions, but I'm positive she said she was half Syrian.

I’m one of those people -- you’re seeing Chantal [model applying powder], just how beautiful. Never looks orange, never looks muddy, just a beautiful warm glow. But I’m one of those people who, Kerstin, where, when I’m getting any sun, I’m wearing the SPF, now wearing a face mask, I’ve got a [high?] –

Kerstin: Oh my goodness, me too.

Marissa: I’ve gotta even out that wonky tan that I know I’m going to get, and get that even glow.

Kerstin 3:48: … Oh, wear a sunscreen everywhere.  Face, arms, everywhere. But I mean my body, naturally, because I’m half Syrian, tends to tan. But I am in, like, a locked cage from here up [gestures to the small part of her, face and shoulders area, shown on camera closeups during this presentation] so nothing, nothing gets to my face. And so, there’s, you know, I’m so pale here [gestures to her face] compared to my body, so this is perfect because it gives you just that little bit of warmth without having to actually get in the sun.

She has to use those self-tanners and various other products when she's on Q to cover up what would otherwise be obvious based on the photos she's posted on social media:  Irreversible skin damage due to sun overexposure.  So if she's covering herself head to toe with sunscreen, good, because she's already done herself enough harm.

Oh, and she's not pale.  I'm pale.  People can tell the state of my health if they notice I'm paler than usual.  When I got my wisdom teeth removed the last thing I heard before the anesthesia kicked in was "Look at how white her skin is!"

I'm confused or dense or both.

Who in Kerstin's family is/was Syrian?

She didn't say, but it would have to be her bio father. She referred to her "stepfather" several times during her mother''s illness, so apparently her mother was married before to Kerstin's bio father, the Syrian. There would have been either a divorce, or he died, and Kerstin's mom married the man who is now Kerstin's stepfather. For Kerstin to say she was half Syrian means one of her bio parents was full Syrian. I don't think it was her mother. She posted a 1978 picture of her mother on Instagram, and there was nothing Syrian in her appearance.

Anyway I am just going by what Kerstin said on the show, "I'm half Syrian." We won't know anything else about that unless she decides to talk about it.

So, she took her stepfather's name as her own? Because her mother was Lindquist, and that ain't a Syrian name.

According to the 1978 picture Kerstin posted, her mother's name at the time was Kathy Kutschka. So I guess she was married to a man named Kutschka. Kerstin said in her comment with the picture that she was only a few months old when the picture was taken, so I'm assuming Mr. Kutschka was her bio father. Or was that another stepfather? It isn't a Syrian name, rather, it sounds like an Eastern European name. It's all pretty confusing. Her family history is quite complicated. Here is what she wrote about discovering new relatives through a DNA test, on an adoption blog:
