Wow, some of the 90 dayers are having a hard time seeing themselves in the light the audience does. If you cannot handle the heat get out of the kitchen. Or at the very least:

don’t go on tv to find a partner that is half your age

don't be in such denial with reality

 don't pretend to be looking for love when you are just trying to gain more followers

 dont lie or be an ass on television.

I can't get over how bitter and defensive David is. Even with something so innocuous as him riding the uni-cycle  he lashed out and said how difficult it was and the poster should try to do better or something to that effect.

All along he seemed pretty dense and harmless but in this view he sure looks like a nasty and hateful dude.

..........and the home furnishings! has it been explained at all? i thought someone had said maybe with his plans to ge that megadollar RV he had sold everything and was just staying temporarily with quick 2nd hand furniture? DH was watching last night and even he said what is the story with the furniture?  Lol he said maybe it was his late mother's apartment????

He probably lived with mama, who furnished the place in the 1990s and didn't change a thing after she died.  Or he bought the house in the 1990s and let mommy decorate it, with the plaid couch being a middle-aged woman's idea of masculine, whereas a bachelor like David would have chosen an oversized black or brown leather sofa to match his Columbine trenchcoat if he had decorated it himself.  The cabinets and furniture match and have a colour scheme, and are equally outdated, not a random mix of 2nd hand furniture.

Ed's house also looks like it was decorated by his mother.  Cute for her, but a bit odd for a Malbec-swilling man of the world.

David doesn't live in the house he's filming in. Maybe he rents it out to people "fully furnished."

Part of his creepiness for me is his indignant, belligerent response to anyone who pokes even a little gentle fun at him.  Everybody else is wrong.  I wonder if he allows himself to consider or even listen to people who (very kindly in many cases) express doubt about the wisdom of what he is doing online.  It's as if he's holding his hands over his ears and chanting "lalala can't hear you."

He's an InCel who hasn't matured since his glory days as a unicycler & "professional" bowler (though I was amazed that he could still balance on his unicycle ... he must have practiced).  He may have made more money than his regular job as a "professional" bowler. Is that when he splurged on his leather Columbine Trenchcoat? Rich people don't have to constantly tell you that they are rich, you can tell by the way they live. Posing with a Lamborghini (which could have been a rental, esp. in Las Vegas) doesn't cut it for me.  If he did own it for a while, clearly it didn't hold the interest of American women, so he moved on to spending every cent he earned on international sex tourism.

even in the glory days, unicycles and bowling were hardly considered hobbies that women cared about! jeez, at his age and living in Las Vegas...you'd think he would at least golf.

he's "rich" because he lives in a cheap tract house that he probably bought a couple decades ago with a housefulll of (probably)deceased person's furniture and has never spent a dime on chidden or a family.  not the kind of rich anyone would aspire to. 100k really isn't much to spend if that's the only relationship he has in his life. he's a cheap old guy who probably has a bunch of gold buried  under the rocks in his sad little backyard, and nobody to share it with. pathetic.  even gross ed has a daughter.

It's funny--as I've watched Rose on B90 I've become less concerned about how poor she seems to be.  I'm not sure that by rural Philippines' standards her lot is as desperate as I thought it was, especially since she was able to walk away from Ed.  I think if she were truly at her rope's end she would have gritted her teeth and thought of Manila, but she didn't.  She seems happy in her life--and she was able to react in a non-transactional way to Ed's dreadful treatment of her and ghastly gifts and insulting behavior toward her life in the Philippines.  As she said when he turned up his nose at what he perceived as the squalor of her town, this is where she lives.  A lot of what he perceived (and complained about, noisily and repeatedly) was just the way life is in a tropical country--it's hot and humid, and construction of houses tends not to focus on solid walls and windows because there's no air-conditioning.

So imo Ed showed himself to be not only an incredibly rude guest, but about as ignorant as you could get--and I'm not talking about exchange rates.

I was watching a documentary about Imelda Marcos a couple of days ago.  She'd go to poor areas and hand out cash to kids to buy candy.  The homes were exactly like Rose's place, with one area to cook, hose off and keep chickens. Though a hard life with no prospects for the future, at least her family had food and each other.  She does not need a person like Ed, who seems to get off trying to humiliate her to make himself feel better about himself.
