Yeah my preemption happened close to the end of Lopez and there was still around 10 mins of program, so i dont know if they did a VYD or not

You're right, Ana used to be on CNN regularly.  I usually watch it for a couple of hours every night, and she hasn't been on in quite a while.  Part of the reason, I'm sure, is because they're not spending as much time talking politics, and when they do, they usually have reporters on to discuss it, and not pundits.

I imagine Ana's choosing to enjoy all this free time she has with her husband, and Chacha, of course.

Ana posts semi regularly on Instagram.  She's not sick, although her husband had an accident/surgery on his knee.

I don't get people who are passionately against the masks. It shouldn't be political.

I know they're not fun to wear. It's easier to breathe without them. They cost money. They mess up my makeup. If I don't wear fresh ones, they'll probably make my sensitive, acne-prone skin break out. But you know what? THEY SAVE LIVES. 

I understand it's hard for people who deal with the public to wear them all day long and sometimes they just need a break. I get that if you're not getting close to anyone running an errand you may not really need a mask. But if you make a point to never wear a mask and are not socially distancing, you are a selfish person who doesn't care about your fellow man. I am not high risk myself, but I have loved ones who are. You would think most people do and want to make things like the grocery store less scary for them.

I always have the closed captioning on, and it said "breeding system".  I guess coming right after the first woman, who definitely did not make sense, the closed captioner's take seemed plausible.  Usually you can tell when they get a word wrong. 

In some ways not wearing a mask kind of could be god's breeding system--as in weeding out the stupid?

I haven't seen her on CNN either.  I think she's been busy looking after her husband who had a bad fall that resulted in drastic knee surgery, plus I believe, she's taking the quarantine very seriously (Facebook).

A few months ago a user here said Ana did a q&a in instagram. She was asked why she hadn't been on the view. Ana said the view hadn't called her. I don't think it's her choice. As for CNN, many of the regular pre-covid political commentators haven't been on since it has been mainly covid that is being discussed.

I tuned out because, as per usual, Joy and Ana weren't there, screw this show, etc. etc. I did see the first three minutes though and it was worth it just for Sunny's face after that video they played. LOL

We all know why Ana is not on the show, it is all about pacifying the big baby on the show.. I mean she had Sherry Shepherd banned from the show. I am so livid on Sherry's behalf.. Sherry sounded so hurt in that interview, explaining her awful treatment by the show..

I'm betting they'd rather use Sarah instead of Ana right now, since Sarah is still an employee of ABC with no show. Her GMA afternoon show has been reformatted and retitled ('What You Need to Know" is the new title), and so far they have not asked any of the three hosts back (their show was suffering in the ratings).  Ana is not an ABC employee (she's a contract player) so there's no need to use her when they have Sarah. Plus, I have a feeling when they return to the studio (maybe next season?) Sarah will be back at the table taking Abby's place.

As for this past week - I'm over the 'talk show from home'. It's been three months, and they still can't get it together. They overtalk each other, they don't know who's at bat next, there is dead air when no one knows when to speak...it makes me wonder if anyone is still watching the show (except us!). I'd like to know how the ratings are the past few months. In all fairness - I'm tired of all these shows no longer broadcasting in the studio.

And yes - Sunny's makeup looked awful this week. It looks like she used charcoal on her face and had trouble rubbing it in. She looked ridiculous.

On the bright side, they won a Daytime Emmy on Friday night for 'Best Informative Talk Show' while 'Ellen' won for 'Best Entertainment Talk Show'. Congrats to them - I'm sure they will be bragging about it on Monday, and they should.  I guess it was all those "View Your Deals" which put them in the winner's circle, no ?
