So Bill's latest display of Chicken Little Syndrome is that voters won't turn out in November because "some people won't leave their house ever again", because the quarantine is forcing them all to stay home, dagnabbit, or some such horseshit. This in spite of the fact that there's been record turnout for nearly every single primary held this year in SPITE of the quarantine, in SPITE of people having to wait in lines for hours on end, etc. Granted, what happened in Georgia was a massive fustercluck but it had nothing to do with the virus. They still had triple the numbers of voters that they did in the 2016 primary.

He really just won't let go of his whining about taking precautionary health measures during an unprecedented pandemic.

Also, incest porn is "everywhere"? I really don't want to think what he does with his alone time in his mansion. Ew.

Bill's a perv. It's well known that he frequents an elite, members only, "swinger" club in L.A. Also he was a regular visitor at the Playboy Mansion and participant in "Grotto" activities.

If so, that would explain why he's itching so bad for the quarantine to end.

I think Bill was disappointed with Dr. Mozzafarian. While the doctor acknowledged the seriousness of bad nutrition in relation to obesity, diabetes etc., he evaded Bill's questions about any connection to immunity problems. And a sugar tax, Bill? Yeah, like that will ever fly!

The panel was alright. Larry Wilmore can be funny. I didn't realize his show got canceled.

I do agree that calling it "defund the police" is really unfortunate, cuz a lot of my friends/family think it means abolish all police, and they are totally against it until I take 2 minutes to explain what it actually means and then they are like, oh, well that's okay then.

Bill's dogs seem to wish they had a more interesting and loveable owner, and think he's dumb to be out in the heat with his suit on.

Bill is seriously still harping about how we should've all been eating healthier and exercising and building up our immune systems during a pandemic? Bruh, sorry, but if it's looking like bad shit's about to go down and people are scared, the last thing most of us are going to want to do is start a health plan. More like copious amounts of wine and cake were consumed.

He needs to move on from this subject, at least for a few episodes.

Also, speaking only from my own personal experience and observation, of course (and maybe I and my family and friends are just really, really lucky) but I have seen little evidence of the dire financial ruin that Bill keeps faux-wringing his hands over. Yes, I've no doubt that some small businesses and people have felt the pinch and of course that sucks, but I don't believe for one minute that Bill cares that much about the neighborhood restaurants that had to close or the minimum wage workers who got let go. Call me cynical.

Between the stimulus checks, the extra unemployment money and extensions, paid LOAs, debt relief, delayed bill payments, small business aid, hazard pay and other benefits, I just don't see the scorched-earth destruction that he keeps going on about.

He was blathering on a few shows ago about how imperative it is to the human race to meet in a restaurant to "break bread". I really can't see Bill being out in public that much where he could possibly rub elbows with the common folk. Maybe it's different in L.A. and the famous all congregate together somewhere where they can be shielded from the hoi polloi.  IDK. I can't picture him running down to the store either, I'm sure he has (had) people to do it for him. My guess is that he really wants his housekeeper to come back so he doesn't have to mop a floor or clean a toilet.

I've not heard him say one word about the plight of minimum wage workers or mom & pop businesses, so...yeah...I"m with you on the cynicism.

And he was kind of a dick to his dogs too.

Didn't watch the show but it sounds like he's obsessed with the food/illness connection since he's had on one doctor after another this season to talk about it.

I think if it wasn’t known that he’s a huge animal rights guy, on the board of peta, it may seem like he hates them.   But I think he was just teasing, and he takes good care of his animals.

That's what I'm thinking, that he was kind of doing a bit there: "See how dumb my dogs are? They don't listen to me, haha."

The first interview was very good as was the panel.  Larry Wilmore and Matt Welch are both very smart guys. As soon as the nutrition doc came on said, uh, oh and turned it off. I caught the new rules segment yesterday on HBO Go.  They were OK but I think that Bill and his writers may be running out of steam.  It's understandably difficult to keep writing A material in this situation but maybe it's time for Bill to go on a hiatus for a while.  John Oliver's "One man behind a desk" format, is much better suited for the current times and the writing, even within the serious topics that he's covering every week, has been pretty sharp.

I’d be interested in seeing Bill’s weekly menus. What is he eating that is making him healthier than the rest of us?Does he have a special chef preparing these foods? Has he ever mentioned that he recommends a certain type of diet (ie gluten free;vegan etc)? I‘m honestly curious about this.

Here's a link that gives a brief description of Bill's eating habits along with a few other charming details about Bill's issues with western medicine.  I'm all for eating a plant-centric/reasonably unprocessed diet, but Bill's blaming Covid on sugar/soybeans/random-food-villain-of-the-week, is just so, well, faith-based.  Eschewing high fructose corn syrup is probably a good thing, but that didn't save populations from the Spanish flu, the black death, or a jillion other plagues.  The thing with a novel pathogen is that it's novel, and most immune systems aren't adapted to deal with it no matter what you eat.

Is he under the impression that the native people of the Americas all ate too much sugar and spent too much time sitting around playing on their phones and that's why they were so vulnerable to European diseases they hadn't experienced before?
