It really seems like these women are indulging in controversy just for the sake of controversy. Both of the major areas of "conflict" among the women just don't seem like things they, or anyone else, would argue about . First, who cares if Kyle is closer to Teddy than the other ladies? Why is that a source of conflict? And second, if Denise doesn't want you to have an adult conversation in front of her kids, then don't do it. Why argue about it? Neither one of these two areas of conflict are worth fighting about. I feel like this whole season so far has been much ado about nothing.

What struck me about this episode is how fake the women of Beverly Hills are. Everything about them is artificial, from the faces they've constructed to their superficial friendships. One evening they are hurling insults in a heated row and the very next morning they return to obsequious compliments on their sartorial and tonsorial choices, replete with double air kisses. That is the height of phoniness to me.

As Garcelle pointed out, Kyle has no real interest in getting to know any of these women beyond the surface level. Hell, Kyle didn't even know about the people and things that mattered the most to her former best friend LVP.  Kyle was utterly clueless about Nanny Kay despite LVP having mentioned how near and dear her grandmother was to her, and how she lived with her family in BH for five years before her demise.

Why was Kyle talking in a Cockney British accent when they were all drunk, before Denise got there?  Once was fine, but over and over was annoying.  She thought it was funny, though.

It's her new pony tale twirl. Anything for attention.

she (Rinna) looked clownish. Horrible! Overdone makeup aside, she shouldn’t put her hair back that way. Her features are too large. It’s not flattering.

I thought she looked like a Muppet in that confessional look, with her overblown lips sporting white lipstick etc.

Don't you know anyone who does it?  I do and it's always annoying.  Come to think of it, my friend who does it lives her life on facebook and instagram, has created her own you tube channel, and would certainly be auditioning to be a RH of our town, should they ever want to come here!  So maybe it's that 😄

Denise is a frikn liar liar pants on fire her daughter thought it was funny, so that was total bullshit, shes shady af.

I guess we know what Erica was doing aged 14 then.

Kyle get over yourself and save the excuses for your immature behaviour. Sorry won't cut it.

Dorit is jealous she used to go on and on about her best friends LVP and Kyle and now she has nobody. Saying Kyle has more fun with me, what are we in Kindergarten

This is just getting boring now, please get to the part we are not allowed to mention ASAP

I'm losing interesting in this season. I might go back and watch the preview that was showed in episode 1, because so far that was the only interesting thing that has happened even though it was a red herring.

Kyle has become insufferable. It's like she's amped up or something. Her emotions are barely contained. She's always been neurotic but seems worse this season.

I don't get it with Garcelle. As others have mentioned, Sutton is around more than Garcelle and yet Sutton isn't an official HW.

I think Lisa is letting her mask slip. We're seeing her inner mean girl. She's tried to hide her in the past but isn't as successful now. She's going after Denise for no real reason. And there is definitely something going on with HH, who seems more like her roommate than her husband. I still wonder why Kim's comment enraged her so much several seasons ago. Kim definitely struck a nerve. I wonder what it was about?

Teddy is like Skipper to Kyle (Barbie), an unnecessary add-on.

I used to like Erika the most, but now, she walks around like hot shit thinking who she is.  I don’t care for her that much anymore.  Saying that nasty comment about Denise’s girls was below the belt.  She forgot quickly where she came from and about her kid.  Like I said, she got worse after Cabaret.

Erika has always looked ridiculous to me. At least now she's dressing more appropriately to match what she is on the inside--trash.

Tom is a prominent lawyer, is immaculately dressed and a nice guy, but Geeze he looks damn old.  She flits around him, fluffs up his handkerchief, says goodbye and that’s it.  She probably has an apartment somewhere and does her thing while he is in his office or court. Nice set up.  She has no right to talk about anyone.  I thought she was smarter than that .. and nicer.

It's not friendship - it's strategist alliances in terms of screen time and supporting each other's planned storylines and not outing anything embarrassing.

All the more reason for Dorit to suck up to both Kyle and Teddi then, no?

Quote

Drama is fine when it is organic.

This show has always had drama mixed in with the aspirational porn. It's isn't anything new, though the drama does feel a bit more forced now.

Quote

she didn't want Eileen to change her mind about letting her film a scene on the soap

True, but in the end, it wouldn't be Eilieen's decision to make, since Eileen doesn't produce Y&R.

Quote

But it also feels to me like there is something we aren't seeing because they don't want to break the fourth wall.

I feel that is what frustrated Kyle when she was going after Dorit for being late to Teddi's event. Like, she wanted to come out and say more, but she couldn't.

Quote

Why would they even want to go on a trip together?

They are getting paid to visit great cities and locations and staying in nice accommodations?

Quote

I doubt that kids not being filmed is an iron clad rule on not getting HW status.

It seems to vary from HW show to HW show. On RHONY, Sonja has been on for nearly 10 years, but we haven't seen her daughter once.

First there was pantygate, then puppygate now partygate.  When these ladies get a hold of something, they are like a dog with a bone.  Anything to distract from what is really going on in their lives. "Look over there."

I think it's more the producers thinking they need some type of season long "----gate" storyline. And this type of thinking is also infecting some of the other shows as well, like RHOA.

Granted, you can have season long storylines carry throughout the season, and it can still be entertaining, but trying to base your season around some type of hashtag style catchphrase probably isn't the best way to go about doing it.

She didn't get the diamond because her ex refused to let her children film the show.  For all we may bitch and complain about seeing the families of these women, I guess it's part of the requirement getting the diamond.  I do find it kind of hilarious that whenever we see Garcelle, it's rarely with the women; it's with her kids, her ex or even her friends.

I don’t understand that reason. Haven’t there been other housewives who weren’t allowed to have their kids filmed? We weren’t allowed to see Brandi’s kids. on New York, Sonya and Bethany’s daughters aren’t allowed to be filmed.

#TeamDenise also for all of the reasons against the other “ladies” posted above (and I wasn’t a Team Denise person previously either). I did like Erica, but her comment about Denise’s daughter was so out of line. And to say that Denise lied, her daughter laughed about the overheard conversation, was ridiculous. Perhaps we didn’t see all of Denise’s conversation with her daughter, only the part where she said her and her friend laughed about it. I know when I was 14/15 and if my Mom had asked me about anything sex related - I would have laughed it off, just so I wouldn’t have to discuss it any further.

I wasn't going to watch this year, but then quarantine, so here I am again. I have to say what Erika said about Denise's daughters was one of the most vile things I have heard on any  of these shows, because it was directed at children. I knew all the "we are just Bff's" was only to gang up on LVP. So vile Kyle toyed with going after Dorit, which I might have enjoyed, but they have clearly settled on Denise.  These women are so predictable and so disgusting. Team Denise.

Erika is the PERFECT example for this and their hypocrisy .. at home and around her husband (especially when he’s on THIS SHOW her ADULT husband) she try’s to portray herself as the prefect house wife she cowls to her husband doesn’t curse doesn’t yell doesn’t fight it’s a “proper” wife for her lawyer husband. Yet on this show and  At work she is more Erika Jayne she curses up a storm talks about fucking dresses provocative has done some extremely provocative videos that are all over the internet  ..... her husband sees this show....they don’t say well Erika maybe you shouldn’t film around your Adult husband . so If she can ask for respect in her home because of her husband why can’t Denise do the same? Why does Denise not get the same right? If Erika can keep her work life separate from her life with her husband and no one questions it why can’t Densise? How is please don’t do that around my teenage daughters more vile and upsetting then please don’t do that around my Adult husband?

In this case with Sutton, filming had already concluded or was mostly done when her ex-husband decided that their kids couldn't be a part of it and most of Sutton's solo/at home scenes involved her kids so there was nothing left but group scenes (meaning dinners/events/trips) for the most part. Even when people like Brandi, Sonja, and Bethenny couldn't show their kids on camera, there were still scenes of them at home without their kids. It took a large chunk of Sutton out of the show by taking away those scenes. So she's a Friend Of this season and looks to be on trend to get a diamond for next season, where they will work around the filming issue.

Can someone let these woman know this season is not about being a trashbag.

First, its the Kyle, phony drama, then its attack Denise because, goodness, she had the audacity, to remark on the subject matter of the ladies with kids nearby.

Erica, fall back, where Im from, she'd lose her front teeth. Judging Denise. I used to like her, but just like her glam squad making her look plastic as her brain is plastic. Silly rabbit.

Leave Denise alone. These phony broads have really outdone themselves this year

Oh Denise, come off it.  "I play sexy characters on TV and some people think that's who I am, but that's my work, that's NOT reality".  I like Denise and I think she's doing a fine job mothering her brood, but let's not cloud our perceptions.

If we hadn't already heard multiple references to her husband's anatomy and their sex life, I might be fooled by her Mother Superior act.

But if you think about the fact that for ages Charlie Sheen has been a sleazy horn dog, there must be something of reality in the "sexy characters" she plays that would not just attract a man like Charlie but to see him as a desirable marriage partner "by the second date" (quote from her).  My guess is Denise is every bit the horn dog that she and her behavior have indicated she is, but isn't liking how that looks on TV.

Why did Garcelle even sign up for this show if she's going to be out of town on other jobs all the time?  I'm barely getting to know anything about her relationships with the other women because she's rarely around them.  And then she had the nerve to wonder why Kyle looks past her.  It's hard to connect with someone who isn't there most of the time.

Erika was way out of line saying what she did about Denise's daughters.  To even suggest what she did even in jest was very inappropriate.   I bet if anyone said anything derogatory about her son she would be ready to scratch their eyes out.  No Erika!  Just because you were probably a slutty 14 year old doesn't mean Denise's daughters are.  I wish I was a fly on the wall to see Denise's face watching this episode.

I'm not on Denise's side because I think she's a saint. I do think she's a good human (much nicer than her cast mates), and the other ladies haven't given her, her home, and her children basic respect. I actually saw their side to a degree, but some of the stuff said in this last episode really left a bad taste in my mouth.

If they just said something like "I'm sorry Denise. You mentioned Aaron's penis at the table, so we thought you'd be okay with a little adult conversation. I forgot your kids and their friends were even nearby until you mentioned it." Fair enough. When they insist on saying whatever the heck they want and then there's this attitude of oh you cares, your kids have heard it all and God knows what they've done themselves! Yeah, gross. Denise didn't throw the ladies out of her home, yell at them, or call them bad moms.

Erika's comment really offended me. And then Rinna's been a friend of Denise's for many years, but I guess that doesn't matter as much as shit stirring for the show? And what about the others? I thought Denise and Dorit really hit it off her first season, and Denise backed up Dorit when Kyle was picking on her. Did any of them show Denise support at all when she was outnumbered?

Charlie has been petitioning since 2016 to reduce the support he pays to Brooke.

Denise agreed to receive less than half of what he was ordered to pay her when he and Brooke went back to rehab while Denise fostered their sons.

Charlie, being what he is, an asshole an addict with a progressive disease, stopped paying Denise anything. She eventually filed to receive back payments worth $450,000, and stipulated that during the period in question he diverted $600,000 to adult family members to reduce his assets by more than what he owed to his daughters.

Going up against him means being willing to poke a maniac. He acts halfway decent when Denise asks nothing of him and behaves like a rabid badger when she stands up to him.

The transcripts of his emails and voice messages are full of filth and violent threats and violence and filthy threats.

The constant barrage from a totally out-of-control addict who isn't getting his way wears a person down and extracts an exhausting price.

It isn't a matter of giving one deposition and making a couple of appearances in court. It also means paying an attorney to attend with you. Some of the depositions Denise gave were 7 and 8 hours long and her attorney bills by the hour for that, as is the custom.

Lisa knows this, they have been friends for twenty years.

Charlie has sworn to bleed her dry financially and emotionally, and is succeeding admirably, so that's why she hesitates about going to court. It isn't lame, it's self-preservation.

The vipers desperately want her to spend her airtime laying out all this nasty business. They're not the least bit sympathetic or empathetic, they're out for a kill so they can feel superior because they conduct their lives "better."

Thanks.  I stand corrected.

Denise might not be perfect or always do the right thing but like LVP she does not deserve the attack of these rabid hyenas.

It’s obvious that she is the chosen target. What she needs to do is enlist the new girls in an alliance to take down the old guard. She can even slice off Dorito who is loyal to no one. Film with the new people. She is already friends with Garcelle and I bet Sutton would love to be with the cool kids.

Much like nature, the weak ones get culled first...the kind who get thrown to wolves and run away with their tail between their legs...

Also, what new girls? Garcelle is barely in the game and Sutton makes herself nervous, not exactly the best allies to have if you are planning a palace coup.

Also, wait, aren't the women turning on Kyle also, or so we have been told? I am getting confused as to who the main target of the season is...

I agree that Ericka Pat the Puss Jayne trying to slut shame Denise is beyond hypocritical.   Good grief.  You'd think she could be satisfied with being stunt cast on Broadway.   (by the way, I would never pay those ticket prices to see some RH perform).

No words for Rinna - I've disliked her for a long time.  I'm kind of surprised her daughters aren't more effed up than they are - maybe that because of Harry.  Harry who seems to be living on the other side of the country since his kids grew up, lol.

I appreciate the “Team Denise” argument.  Denise was disrespected in her own home.  It doesn’t matter if her kids were affected or not.  (And what Erika said about Denise’s daughter was just outright horrible.)

Still, I kind of wish, when Kyle apologized, Denise just accepted her apology and moved on.  Instead of launching into how her anger was justified because her daughter picked out the ice sculpture.

Denise has already had three on camera conversations where she has aired her grievances.  How many more scenes do we really need?

I think the biggest problem with RHoBH is that these women hold onto every slight, and keep talking about it forever.

Take a page from RHoNY.  Have your over-the-top arguments, but then recognize that no one is perfect, so just make up and move on.

Some things are just not forgiveable. I believe that the New York housewives pretend to make up and move on, just to remain on the show. In reality, they don't get over grudges, they just continue to film with each other despite grievances for the $$$.  The truth comes out afterwards. Examples: Luann and Ramona vs. Bethenny. I guess it's no different than me continuing to work with people that were horrible. I needed the paycheque so just did what I had to do to get through.

If someone made reference to my young daughter having a threesome, I would definitely not chalk that up to "no one is perfect." I would be determined to take that person down. Hopefully Denise will take advantage of her $1 Million Dollar per season salary to get back at some of these RHBH bitches.
