Whoopi really needs to stop spouting nonsense.  Nobody was yelling at the people in Wisconsin who chose to go out and exercise their right to vote.  And Sara didn't say anything like that when making her point.  Her point was - and it's been mentioned by a hundred different people since it happened yesterday - that they should not have been forced into the choice of either risking their health to vote OR giving the Republicans what they want and staying home and declining to vote.  One of the voters even carried a sign saying "THIS IS RIDICULOUS".  I know she's listening to her books and not watching the news all the time (which is fine; we all need to unplug at times), but maybe if she paid attention to what her fellow co-host was actually saying, her follow up might make sense.  Maybe.

MeAgain:  China lays a lot of blame in this in a lot of ways.  She was trying to say that China is to blame.

Sara used the word  systematic, twice, when she should have used systemic.

I wonder if the ruling that primaries will continue during the quarantine had anything to do with Bernie’s decision. Maybe he didn’t want people out risking their health when it was clear he was not going to win.

Harris did a very good interview - especially when she was proposing her bill to block credit card companies from charging late fees, penalties, higher interest rates, etc or reporting your late payments to you credit report for the next 4 months. It makes sense in the current times, and it should be passed in the Senate.

I believe she was on her A-Game, auditioning for the VP slot with Biden. She was careful with her words, she gave enough polite praise to Sanders (as she found out on-air he had dropped out at 11 am), and was very kind when explaining her differences she has with Biden.

She knows she's on the short-list with other powerful women, and she did her best to stand out from the rest today. Good for her!

Prepare yourselves to see a lot of turbans, headbands and hats in the next few weeks. In addition to those people who are dealing with extensions, many of us “natural” blondes are showing a lot of dark outgrowth. The salons are going to be sooooo busy once they reopen.

I agree with all of that but I want her to get the AG position.  'Cause then she'd be my boss! 🙂

How privileged. I wonder what her contract is like if she is just able to say that she will not appear.

I follow Ana on Instagram, she posted some great videos last week with questions & answers.  She answered this question about appearing remote. Ana said she has not yet heard from The View about participating in the remote show; she's waiting on them.

Doesn’t she live in Miami?  The rest are in NYC or nearby.  It just might be too difficult for them to film her remotely?  And maybe after seeing how bad the connection is with Skype (Joy) shes uncomfortable with it. She’s only on once per week anyway so she could easily make that up. And we don’t know that she’s actually said she won’t appear...it could just as easily have been a decision of the producers or network.  So before we call her “privileged”.....?

Ana showed up on Rosie’s Instagram Live yesterday and looked great - and said she hasn’t worn anything with a zipper or buttons in three weeks!

There was a girl who talked and talked and talked and talked. She talked so much that, frequently, she would need to take a break in the midst of her talking in order to swallow. And that little girl was Kamala Harris.

Seriously, I've never warmed to her because of petty reasons like that one and I don't like how she laughs. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm glad, though, that kamala pointed out that minority women have been more susceptible to disease for ages. Did Megan really just notice it happening now with Covid 19? I've known it all my adult life. Maybe it's because I'm Hispanic, so I'm aware I'm more susceptible to obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, breast cancer, etc. I dont know if i agree with kamala when she says that it's because medical professionals don't take minority women seriously. I think it has more to do with our culture, diet, and lifestyle. (I mean a live in a predominantly Hispanic area in the US. The doctors are Hispanic too, so why wouldn't they take us seriously? As a matter of fact, they blame diet most of the time.)

Due to racial bias in the healthcare system, Black women are more likely die in childbirth in the United states and there is a high infant mortality rate of Black babies as well.  The sad thing is that these deaths are preventable but nobody cares enough to take these Black women seriously and that leads to dangerous consequences.

Plus, it has nothing to do with your economic status because Beyonce and Serena Williams, both wealthy famous Black women almost lost their lives having their babies..Serena is using her horrifying experience to shed light on this epidemic of Black maternal deaths in our country.

I want to like Kamala but her demeanor is off-putting. I think she has the right demeanor for a prosecutor (suspicious and analytical, attuned to nuances) but she scares me like my mom did when I was a tween and a teenager, knowing that she was always ready to pounce even when I wasn't doing anything wrong.

I want to like Kamala so I've looked for another side beyond ready to rumble but I haven't picked up on one. If that makes sense.

PS: I admire strong women so that isn't my issue.

At least Joy eventually mentioned the point that the rumors about her retirement said 2022; Meghan can't read, though, since she was acting like she thought it was going to be imminent.

Something's off with Meghan's audio today, and it's annoying.  Sunny's, too, with that weird background noise.

Oh, yeah.  That'll work - "Please calm down.  I don't care".  If only Meghan would follow her advice.

This show is so disjointed today - Joy's "retirement", Bernie, Feeding America, commercial, Feeding America, Bernie.

Okay, so they're doing a Feed America segment at the beginning of every segment.  Now it makes sense.

I like Whoopi's outfit today.   Again!   What' wrong with me??   And why can't she look this good in the studio.

As for Megs, maybe she never learned to dress herself, because she clearly doesn't know how to do this by herself.   Or her hair.   The reason she probably wears those Halloween costume glasses is to camouflage the bad self-makeup job, too.

I love Mayor Pete, but he really should have shaved before going on air.

I was happy at Whoopi reminding everyone of the fact that universal healthcare was an idea that Hillary ran with back in the ‘90s. Of course she was reviled for it, unlike Bernie. Wonder why that could be. Hearing McCain talk about how the media over-hyped the appeal of socialism was funny considering SHE was one of those in the media that did so. I think she kept saying socialism and the squad were the face of the party practically every day until, coincidentally enough (since he was on the show today), Buttigieg knocked pundits like her who would attack the nominee as socialist regardless of whether a far left or moderate candidate won.

Since the whole Joy’s-retiring thing started with the author of that stupid book, the author who is a close friend of Meghan McCain, I almost think this whole Joy-is-leaving media flare-up was planted by McCain herself just so she could say she (McCain) isn’t leaving again. She probably wanted to turn this into a media-wants-to-hype-up-drama-that-somebody’s-leaving thing instead of a everybody-thinks-McCain-is-unqualified-and-should-be-fired thing.

Since Kamala and Buttigieg were both on the show this week, I’ll say I hope we continue to see a great deal more of both of them the next 10-20 years in the U.S. They are the two I see as the future of their party.

On her IG she’s been posting cooking and cocktail videos,

Can you imagine how much fun you'd have hanging out (if you could) with Ana? Down in Miami - ah..feel that heat after that long winter and in MY fantasy, we're sitting outside, gazing out over the ocean, sipping on some Margaritas that Ana whipped up and we're snacking on shrimp cocktails. We are having an amazing time - listening to some cool tunes (Classic Rock because remember..it is still my fantasy!) and of course, we are bashing Trump, the language growing more colourful with each cocktail. <Sigh> Sounds perfect.

I'm still pretty much only getting half a show what with either Trudeau or Coumo doing daily briefings and when you factor in the wonky Wi Fi issues or whatever else in not working with this Brady Bunch View version, it really feels disjointed and muddled. And I don't just mean Whoopi!!

How many shows have they done from home by now and Whoopi still doesn't silence her phone.

Sunny mentioned that networks should stop airing trump's ramblings. I think my local channels have stopped airing them. The days are running together, I think it was last week when the one local news cut in during trump talking and returned when Dr. Fauci started to speak then cut out when he finished. lol Now they don't even seem to play the briefings at all.

Some of these things are giving me life. Some person of import was being interviewed from home on MSNBC, and I could hear their dog barking in the background. I’m waiting for another moment like the toddler and baby-in-the-walker incident, breaking into the room where the father was conducting a live interview.

Observations from today's show...

1. No mention of the passing of Clinton / Lewinsky whistleblower Linda Tripp, who died yesterday at the age of 70 from pancreatic cancer. Tripp was the 'butt' of many Joy Behar jokes since 1998, and was quite the hot topic when this all came out 20+ years ago. I think they could've given some mention, as she changed the course of history.

2. Mayor Pete didn't have much to say, so I'm not sure why they had him on as a guest today. Maybe they're giving all the past candidates a chance to audition for Biden this week and next ?  Whoever did his make-up gave him a very pink rosy glow - distracting with his Flowbee haircut.

3. Again, no mention of the Hasidic Jews gathering for funerals and Passover celebrations in large crowds the past few days, though the rest of the media has been covering this. Yet they have time to call out churches who are having gatherings during Holy Week (I'm against both, just to set the record straight). C'mon ladies - be fair. Stop looking the other way when it comes to certain religions.

4. Looks like Joy got a professional team in from ABC to do her hair and make-up, cameras, audio and lighting. She's no longer connected on Skype - her feed is much clearer and more professional like Whoopi's has been. I guess the threat of 'retiring' is what did it ? LOL

5. Yes, Meghan - we know you're pregnant. How do we know ? You manage to mention it every single day, as soon as you start talking - lest the world forgets. This is going to be an eternal pregnancy - I just know it.

6.  Rachel Ray obviously did her own hair and make-up, which means she didn't do it at all. She looked a bit disheveled to me, and rather pale. And what is it with everyone (except Sunny) wearing glasses ?

7. I can't wait for tomorrow - I get another chance to buy more over-priced cheap crap from "View Your Deal" which they taped weeks ago !   Maybe they can use that time highlighting charities which could really use some help right now - and have their viewers spend any extra money they may have on donations - rather than soy candles and plant-based flip flops ? Just sayin...

There were 6.6 million new unemployment claims last week, bringing the total for the last three weeks to just under 17 million. The distribution of the first round of government stimulus checks begins next week - and the frivolous View Your Deal chugs along as if things are fine. Barf. Yeah, well, some people, like me, who suffer from Keratoconus, HAVE to wear those Scleral lenses, because wearing glasses doesn't help. I wish I could wear glasses again, but I can't. Not unless I can dole out money I don't have to pay for specialized glasses that would enable me to see with them.

It's a pain in the arse, to be sure.

This was a  truly unbelievable moment.  She was the only person I ever heard touting that Dems were going to be the socialist party (as if that is a bad thing, heh!).  They were probably saying it on Fox but I don't subscribe to that.  And she often snarled:  go ahead, become socialists, see where that will get you!  Wowza, she lacks any self-awareness.

So true. I have my own reasons for not being a fan of Bernie, but these ladies (except Joy) have never discussed him in good faith. I wouldn't trust anything they said about him. The spiteful and immature part of me wanted Bernie to win to raise Whoopi's (and only Whoopi's) taxes.

How did she ever get to be the moderator in the first place?   I wasn't watching back then.   There had to have been better choices, unless she herself was more on the ball years ago.  She doesn't even seem to be happy to be there, most days.   She's snippy, pissy, and can't formulate a coherent sentence.
