ScoobieDoobs November 21 Share November 21 (edited) Er, to the producer/writers, hate to break it to ya, but clearly ya have to be told this -- MEN DON'T GET THAT CLOSE TO EACH OTHER! We've seen this several times before, where Adam's & Billy's lips are literally almost touching. WTF with this? Unless they're going for a gay moment btw those 2, this is way off. Sheesh, there's not even that kinda chemistry btw them -- or Adam with anyone, especially Chelsea. And speaking of Chelsea, she could so easily be written out & not missed in the least! Oh Daniel, STFU -- what are ya gonna do . . . punch Sharon in the face? What a loser. Idk, Sharon has gotta be dreaming cuz Nick was NOT his usual dumb & useless self. In fact, he was shockingly quite the opposite. He wasn't just pulling a white knight act, he was making a lot of sense in his defense of Sharon to the 2 morons that are Daniel & Summer. And Mikey? Well, we got a reminder of just how humongous his ego is. But he does like a challenge. So yeah, he's gonna defend & help Sharon. And while he mentioned Phyllis, to acknowledge the annoying reaction that'll predictably come from her when she wakes up (in 10 years -- please, please, please), he'll still take Sharon's case. Ian saying "obedience" gave me the icks. What a charmer, eh? Yuck. Edited November 21 by ScoobieDoobs 4 5 3 Link to comment

I immediately forget Chelsea exists the second she's off screen and slightly startled and completely dismayed when she reappears. She's like Casper the Soul Sucking Ghost. I felt my soul leaving my body when she and Connor started their PSA on whatever's a possible trigger for Connor this time and was heading for the light by the time Chelsea was praising him once again for not becoming the world's youngest serial killer. Though, if he's at all heading in that direction, I DO have a list he can start with, and they're all within walking distance..... Speaking of heading towards the light, is there any way Phyllis could be nudged more quickly in that direction? Though I suppose the Powers on the Other Side must be pushing her back in our direction as forcefully as we shove her towards them. Every time Daniel starts thundering retribution I've taken to remembering him stalking around town in that Big Blue Shirt that hung down to his knees, the one that made him look like he'd dressed himself for kindergarten and it brings a smile to my face.......Good times, ah yes, good times....... 1 1 9 1 Link to comment

Kemper November 21 Share November 21 (edited) A quick change of subject since the holidays are near. I have noticed that most all of the romantic couplings in the Hallmark Christmas Movies have more chemistry than any of the relationships on this show. That is really something. We get Ian, Aunt Jordan - not a couple but a terrible (to me) storyline, whatever pairing, so far, that might come from the Neal storyline, Victoria and Cole, Adam and Chelsea, Claire and Kyle, etc. No fun or fireworks. No smoldering - although I do think that Sally and Billy have a possibility. Yikes! We sure could use some believable romance that keeps you wanting to see how it goes. And I will never again mention that Sharon Case has had no storyline for ages. 🙄 Edited November 21 by Kemper 4 4 2 Link to comment
Joimiaroxeu November 21 Share November 21 Arriving late to yesterday's episode party: When Sally walked into the coffeehouse, Chelsea was eyeballing her like, "Here we go again." Right there with ya, Chelz. Loved Diane's long coat. Are those back in style? Michael and Nick should not have let Daniel and Sharon interact. No good was ever going to come of it. I will never understand how Adam has the stones to say anything rude to Billy ever. There are no bygones for killing someone's child. I think Chelsea's another one who needs to stay away from the person she harmed by her selfish behavior. Guess Chelsea counts on Sally's own messy past to give her the semblance of grace. Identity swap. Well it's been a while since Y&R used the doppelgänger ruse. Hopefully we'll never have to see Jordan's ersatz twin. IMO CZ eats enough scenery as it is. 😈 Good grief, Chelsea, shut up! AFAIC Sally doesn't need to keep being a cheerleader for you and Adam. It's clear Jordan and Ian don't truly trust each other. Yep, no honor among psycho criminals. Or obedience. 4 4 Link to comment

Joimiaroxeu November 21 Share November 21 (edited) Kyle was at the coffeehouse buying chocolate chip muffins for Harrison. Surely Mrs. Martinez can make those at home. Heh, I bet Elena's had more lines this week than she's had the whole year so far. Come on, did Daniel need to dump all his personal drama on Elena too? She's Phyllis' ICU doctor, not Daniel's therapist. Billy wants to gather up an Abbott brother posse to deal with that dastardly varmint, Victor. Sigh, just take the L on Abbott-Chancellor, Billy. Victor's not worth more trouble. Hey, it's Lucy! She's become quite the young jetsetter. Chance walked in the coffeehouse unnoticed and got to witness his girlfriend and her ex having a caring moment. IKR, Chance? But you should've seen that reconnection coming down Broadway. More bonding between Sally and Billy. I love the way they match each other's energy. Whatever on dumping Chance, Summer. Phillip Chancellor IV was slumming by dating you and you know it. He should feel like "good riddance to spawn of Phyllis rubbish." Where were Diane and Jack sitting when they were having their secret talk about Kyle? NinjaPenguins November 21 Share November 21 A Simple Recap - Come for the Pity Party, Stay for the Man Pain Daniel blames himself for Phyllis’s accident. Elena wisely points out that if he were truly responsible, the mayor would be at the hospital pinning a medal on his chest. Kyle coos at baby Summer and even cheers on the comatose assclown who took a blowtorch to their marriage. Chance sees them sharing a warm moment and realizes he’s almost free. Kyle leaves to find a plunger that will pull his lips back out, and Summer caw caws at Chance. Like all Newmans, she believes the GCPD is a subsidiary of Newman Enterprises and owes her gross family special favors. Billy asks Jack for Diane’s old job. Jack bites his lip and declines. He also looks momentarily disgusted when Billy tells him that Victor is giving Chancellor to Nikki. What an embarrassment of riches available to Jabot - a thin-skinned, nepo baby corporate thief or an emo, nepo baby embezzler. Instead of just telling Billy about the ruse to save Kyle from his own stank attitude, Jack rejects him and lets him believe he’s a fuck up. Poor, friendless Lucy is back with newfound self esteem and a potential boyfriend named Scotty. Auntie Summer, having discarded another man who wouldn’t kiss the family backside arrives at the hospital to complete the circle of suck around Phyllis’ bedside. Lucy wants to be alone with Grandma Pee Pee to see if her raptor-whispering classes have paid off. Jack and Diane meet on a park bench, conspicuously acting like a couple of teens trying to sneak a vape. Diane is super excited to reward Kyle with the position he wanted all along, but Jack would prefer their son stop being a petulant dickweed before he gets a treat. Billy’s drowning his sorrows again, but at least he has a public make out session with Sally to brighten his day. The rest of us get the roundhouse kick to the larynx that is Lucy awakening the beast. Phyllis looks like absolute hell, which proves you can judge a book by its cover. Hopefully she has amnesia and forgets her personality. 1 2 4 7 1 Link to comment

Hmmm, can Lucy overlook that Faith's mom is yammering endlessly that she murdered her mom? Is Lucy now pointing her stalking tactics at some rando dude named Scotty? Or will she still be stalking Faith -- and make granny proud? Still like Sally & Billy as a couple. But Billy alone? Not so much. Oh Billy, can ya whine anymore to Jackie? It was kind of ironic that he was showing he was capable of violence against a woman after everyone and their brother insisted he was as gentle as a butterfly on a puppy’s nose. Again, Daniel’s anger is perfectly valid given what the situation appears to be, but I did think something ugly was maybe going to happen. If the show could stop presuming we’re all brand new to the Phyllis experience (a colonoscopy/tooth extraction/pelvic exam mash-up), that would be swell. She’s straight up trash and no amount of tearful bedside scenes or words of praise coming out of her many victims’ mouths will change that. She just framed an innocent person for an imaginary murder, so it’s not like some of her worst behavior is ancient history. Daniel’s devotion is especially baffling considering she only told Summer she was alive after faking her own death, because Phyllis knew Daniel had a conscience. Phyllis’ kids don’t need her for shit and they really shouldn’t let Lucy or Harrison anywhere near her. She’s a bad mother who has stolen from her children, bailed out her son’s rapist and emotionally traumatized her kids to the point where they interpret guilt trips and manipulations as love. Phyl’s friendships are all one-sided and she cheats on most of her romantic partners. She’s not strong and unstoppable; she’s just a self-absorbed bully. Good luck getting me to give a shit. 3 3 6 2 Link to comment

Then, if you’re so inclined, fuck off some more. Fuck off like you have never fucked off before. Is this malignant narcissism fanfiction? Victor, one of the most odious creatures to ever lumber out from under Cthulu’s fat folds and onto dry land, has summoned Nick and Adam to the raunch so he can mumble about Sharon. Victor was forced to resurrect the mausoleum Sharon burned to the ground, yougotthat? Unfortunately she forgot to salt the earth. Nick says Sharon is not a threat, but Adam leans into his resurgent douchebaggery and throws her under a convoy. Victor announces he’s giving his awful wife a corporation to run and wants Adam to hype her unearned promotion. There’s some spirited Billy bashing. You know, theoretically I’ve come to accept Billy and Sally as a couple, but it turns out I’m not ready to watch them do it. Phyllis awakens after miraculously growing a second venom sac. Much to the dismay of civilized society, she hasn’t forgotten her plethora of personality disorders. You’d think she’d be over the moon to learn Daniel is free and Sharon has confessed, but you’d be underestimating the great, sucking void inside Phyllis and its insatiable hunger for validation. Chance indulges his masochism kink by questioning her about the accident. Summer gives him the big hairy stink eye. Watch Phyllis nearly blow a vessel when Chance tells her that Michael Baldwin is defending Sharon. “My Michael Baldwin???” Yeah, sorry, Phyllis. You forgot to pee on him. She verbally abuses Chance with such zest that she almost triggers another coma. Almost is the cruelest word in the English language. Summer calls Nick, who arrives at the hospital just in time to hear Phyllis screeching that Sharon tried to kill her. Adam and his father go to the Athletic Club, where the cleaning crew is called in to sweep up the little pieces of Adam’s face after he sees Billy and Sally acting romantical. Sure. The weird red tint overlaying the Sally & Billy sexy times. What was that all about? It looked like bad 1970s porn. And bleh on the corny music too. Dear TPTB: you should've coughed up the $$ and paid for Sabrina Carpenter's song, Bed Chem. I have to say though, the staging of that scene was daring. A couple of the coital positions shown probably hit the FCC's decency limits for daytime broadcast TV. CHANCE?!??! WTAF is wrong with this guy? Ugh, Victor got me out here rooting for Jordan and Ian and whatever chaos they're planning to wreak. I don't understand why Victor's suddenly moved into DEFCON status over Sharon. boes November 23 Share November 23 (edited) Starting at the previews - Nikki's breathless invocation of all the blessings she and the rest of her nest of vipers are grateful for upon this Thanksgiving would have been the perfect time for someone to pie her right in her self-satisfied face. After all, it IS the holidays. I never need to see Billy fully or partially naked and I never need to see him vertical, so today was a double whammy. That music was.....interesting? Who knew there was a Taste of Honey cover band? But, very unwillingly, Billy and Sally are working for me. He's never been easier to take than he is with her and she's not doing all the heavy lifting in this coupling that she was doing with Adam in their last go around. Luckily, he still continues to be a big whiny nepo baby with zero insight and a long list of grievances, so he hasn't changed THAT much. Otherwise, it would feel like the earth had reversed its axis. Over at the Hell Mouth, Jabba the Hut had summoned his offspring so he could verbally pee all over Sharon. Victor used to be Sharon's biggest defender, at least until his disastrous marriage to her, shortly before she burned down the Raunch. That old toadstool nurses grievances like precious pimples he refuses to pop. Adam was pretty skuzzy about Sharon, I thought. He flucking stole her baby and handed her off to Ashley and Sharon FORGAVE him for that. IMO he should always have her back, not talk smack about her with his odious father. I wish that Elena had, when Phyllis woke from her coma, hit her on the head with a cartoon hammer and put her back in one again. Just one big BOING, the sound of tweeting birds and blessed silence. ScoobieDoobs November 23 Share November 23 (edited) KA-BOOOOOOM!!! What was that sound? Well, it was Adam's head exploding when he spotted Sally & Billy smooching. And I liked it! Especially after he was such an a-hole, bashing Sharon. The Sharon bashing was getting really ugly & cruel & hard to watch. Vic & Adam were sure piling on & then there was Daniel the dickhead. Daniel has always been a douche-nozzle, but never more so than when he was gloating about Sharon to The Red Beast. And The Red Beast was her usual awful self & made me scream STFU several times. Poor Chance was just soft-spoken & stone-faced & taking her abusive crap. At least he looked great. On the upside for him, he doesn't have to look at the pouter pouting anymore. Maybe that's why he remained so calm when faced with a screeching, babbling lunatic? But The Red Beast's outbursts were scary and unhinged -- as usual for her. So will her predictable hissy fit to Michael change his mind about defending Sharon? Nah. He does what he wants . . . except when it involves Vic. Ah, but will Vic threaten Michael somehow to not represent Sharon? How would he react to that? Yeah, coulda lived w/o the soft porn Billy/Sally stuff, but it wasn't that bad cuz these 2 are good together. They both seem "better" together than by themselves. Sally is happier, and not the sad-sack she's been lately. And Billy? Well, we'll see if being with Sally will change him much. I have my doubts, but we'll see. Man, that preview of the Newman Thanksgiving gathering skeered me. Looked like The Munsters meets The Adams Family. And this gave me a thought of a prediction. This is NOT a spoiler cuz I know nothing. But with Vic's endless blathering about Sharon burning the last Newman mausoleum (er, ranch) and accusing Sharon of being "dangerous", I was thinkin' . . . what if the Evil Duo try to burn down the new mausoleum & frame Sharon? Hmmmm. Btw, what's with Ashley? First, she calls Diane a b*tch at the wedding, and in the preview she looks like she's about to get one of the Abbott rifles & use Diane for target practice. WTF? Plus, he's a gentleman and could help Claire lose her virginity with the utmost of kindness and care. Kyle's always looking for personal advantage and would likely make Claire regret being with him. 4 3 Link to comment

I guess I just don’t care enough about Claire as a character. And certainly not as this delicate flower who must be treated with the utmost care lest she break. If anything, she needs to loosen up. She’s just too rigid as currently written. I suppose that’s what happens when you become a Newman…😝 4 1 1 Link to comment

In fact I fully believe she's slowly easing her way into the Newman corporate empire so she can take it over eventually. But when it comes to losing her virginity, I imagine she'd prefer not getting jackhammered by a selfish tool like Kyle. 1 6 Link to comment

And nobody made her drive. It was a terrible tragedy but I will never see him as the villain there. Edited November 24 by lilmarysunshine 3 1 3 1 Link to comment
NinjaPenguins November 24 Share November 24 I don’t think there were any villains in the accident that killed Cassie. She and Daniel both did dumb things; she just paid with her life. Well, maybe Nick was kind of a villain - Cassie told him that Daniel wasn’t driving before she died and he still went schmuck hunting. Daniel unfortunately imo) has devolved into a loser who is surprisingly happy to feed his mother’s giant ego and entertain her bullshit. I can’t picture this guy telling Jack that Phyllis was actually alive. Proximity to Phyllis poisons even the best people; it’s like Daniel hasn’t even really done anything wrong, but he annoys the living shit out of me. I think MG is one of the better actors on the show, but stick him with his family and it’s a nope from me. 3 2 Link to comment

If Heather were still alive, she'd leave Daniel like she did in the past for similar behaviour. 2 1 Link to comment
