My dentist is cancelling a whole bunch of appointments through at least the early part of next year.  She has been shut down since March.  So starting in September, those people who had appointments in March will have them then.  The cancelled April appointments will be in November, so on and so forth.🦷

I had a dentist appt in March which was of course cancelled. Got an email last week saying they are open again, apparently dressing in what seem to be hazmat suits. I think I'll wait.

I wish I could remember - or maybe I'm glad my memory is so defective - but we may have been speculating if he dyes that hair the way he does the hair on his head.

I'm a wino now. I found boxed wine that I like. could be the pandemic talking, fuck it, I'm going down with wine. Plus I think my July 4th plans involve watching Hamilton, steak and wine. I haven't had an actual 3 day weekend off in maybe a decade. I've always had a "weekend" job that was holiday proof. I got friday and Saturday off and Sunday was always off. I'm crafting people. Well, not making people from scratch but I'm making soap. Why? Who the fuck knows, it was a cheap "kit". candles were too expensive and I don't really want to paint a rock. So I have my soap kit with glitter and shit. Also I have a water bottle decorating kit coming, may or may not arrive before the glorious holiday weekend but I'll be bedazzling the shit out of some hideous thing that I will pawn off on some unfortunate soul. We can't go anywhere so I had to create some indoor activities and since I can't "make people from scratch" wink, wink then I'll be making soap. Don't be jealous people, just, you know, better yourselves somehow. Trust me if I coulda found some recreational drugs I would have gone that route, because nothing matters anymore.

I saw that.  I ignored it, I have enough questionable posts, no need to add to the mix.

Above and beyond that, I thought bald like an eagle was the trend, going back to the mid to late nineties..  At least that is the way it has been with "adult" movies.

I have already moved my doctor's appointment once, I am tempted to do it again.  I don't know if the doctor will throw a hissy fit or not.  I have enough anxiety going to the doctor in general.   Add all of the virus talk, and that will make my anxiety grow, jacking up my blood pressure even higher.  My doctor isn't happy with my blood pressure being so high as it is.

I don't know when it started but for me seeing a mature man shaved as smooth and hairless as a young child is truly repulsive and creepy. Not to mention the mental images of them sitting on their toilet seats, pinching, grabbing and yanking their junk around to get a close shave is the opposite of a turn-on. But that's just me!

You're not alone. I'm sure the past months have filled all of us with anxiety, fear and depression over the world we seem to have lost. I find that now - even though all the same precautions are taken in all the stores here and many people wear masks everywhere - it doesn't seem quite so dire with the sun shining, birds singing, flowers blooming and balmy temps as it did in the cold, dark, raw months preceeding this.

They just made masks mandatory here. I truly don't get the "freedom" argument. If you play sports, you wear a cup or a helmet, nobody screams that it infringes on their nuts' freedom. You wear a seatbelt in the car, yes people complain, for the most part I don't even do it except long car rides, I'm just lazy but I fucking understand the law and if I got a ticket I'd suck it up. THIS IS NOT ABOUT YOU FOR FUCKS SAKE! Can you not, for one second, try to fathom that it's about your mother, brother, cousin, child, grandma or neighbor. It isn't necessarily suggesting you are killing anyone or that you yourself are going to be killed, yet people are dying. We notice with the number of assholes armed to the teeth to come out and protect their property that they RESERVE THE RIGHT TO TAKE A LIFE WITH THE SQUEEZE OF A TRIGGER, why is protecting a life by merely breathing in your own space such an infringement? No one is just willy nilly taking away your freedoms, you won't have any freedom if you fucking die. I really don't get the people who throw a tantrum when asked to wear a mask, like the video of the woman throwing the food out of her cart. Seriously? are you 3? Turn around and go home, be as mad as you want and never patronize the store again but that wouldn't be acceptable even if there wasn't a pandemic. She looks like an idiot. It's been very easy for me to go without a  mask, I get my groceries and food curbside. I hate the mask but if I go into the liquor store for more wine I'll wear the thing because the wine is more important than me at this point.

I was thinking about you. It's virtually impossible for you to avoid people. Anywhere you go. It isn't that hard for me, my job has 5 people, we are all in separate rooms, the public doesn't come and go through here. I wear a mask answering the door to UPS and mailman. The random people who come to pick stuff up we give the option of curbside, we just put in your trunk. You can opt not to sign our delivery slip. My boss does most of the deliveries, he assumes the most risk. My other job we are working from home. So groceries are really my only reason to interact with the public, 90% I do curbside. I get that it's much harder for people in more densely populated areas and for "essential" workers. There are people who take the risk every day, you want your mail and your UPS packages to arrive, why would you want your mailman or UPS person to  die?

I have a friend who is the manager of a convenience store. She has to go to work and be in public all day. She gets it, she accepts it. She's livid with people who are just dropping in for a coke. She's all about making sure our military, police, doctors and workers are getting where they have to go. Gas is essential and if they are tired, busy, frazzled from the pressure of their jobs obviously she's there for coffee or a coke or whatever the case may be. She said she sees tons of people shuffling in, still in their pajamas and they bring their kids and they just get a coke. No masks but yet every once in a while they whine about the registers not being 6 feet apart because they are social distancing. Social distancing but they're not wearing masks and their  kids are literally licking the windows or rolling around on the floor. She's made it a practice to tell everyone who comes in for no reason at all except a coke to "have a nice day at work" because she knows they're not "going" to work. Even if they're working from home that trip was unnecessary and puts others at risk.

We are all going stir crazy but damn, the more they do this, the longer the lockdown lasts. I'm not very intelligent but how are they not getting this?

Our great politicians have deemed that Saturday, the 4th of July is the day that bars, pubs and restaurants can open once again. Albeit with some semblance of social distancing being observed. A town in England, Leicester to be precise, has been placed in extra lockdown measures because there has been a ‘Spike’ in recorded cases.
The pathetic politicians have chosen an even more pathetic phrase to use in conjunction with the 4th July date, they’re saying that it’s ‘our’ day of independence, from the virus obviously, I’m sure that phrase will endear itself to the families of all those that die on, or around July 4th, happy Independence Day y’all 😒

The pubs, bars and restaurants here are reopening tomorrow, the police are polishing their riot shields as we speak, I just hope a safe distance can be maintained when an officer lumps a drunkard over the head with his baton  🪓

I thought that only happened on Gunsmoke in the Long Branch Saloon.  I have no clue how hitting someone over the head does not end up killing someone.

"Buffaloing" - or conking some miscreant on the noggin with his gun butt - was a favorite tactic of Wyatt Earp. He felt giving someone a lump on their head was better than shooting them.

You obviously weren’t in the UK in the 70’s or early 80’s 😆, thankfully the taser has has largely taken the place of the Baton, but in mass brawls it still has a place.

So, as of this past Saturday, everyone is required to wear a mask in all public places. In my neck of the woods, we all shrug and say "Okay." But there is the asshole contingent squawking about their rights - their rights to infect someone who may have a condition  - heart, lungs, cancer, other  - who will die if they get the virus because some morons think it's too much of an imposition to wear a mask for the 15 or 20  minutes it takes to buy their groceries. FFS, here in Canada we're used to covering our mouths and noses with scarves for 6 months of the year anyway! Everyone wants their RIGHTS, but never demand their responsibilities.

I really feel public beatings like the ones in India need to take place for these dickheads.

Absolutely, we used to have a wonderful practice in jolly old England called Gibbeting. Once the miscreant had been dispatched, the corpse was suspended in an iron structure designed to keep the body intact and prolong the rotting process.
In a public location, outside the grocery store would be ideal, it was left as a deterrent, I’m starting an online petition.............🤗

I don't know if this is where covid gets real for me or not. This morning my nicer boss was unlocking the gate and I did sort of wonder where neanderthal boy was, nice was running around spraying all surfaces. He did come to me and say his brother and the other pressman dude would not be in today, they are going in for covid testing. Co-worker and his wife are both sick, she works in a hospital (not a nurse) and brother was over at their house friday and had a fever by saturday. He did say we are going into lockdown mode at work. His mom is coming in (she's 82) but I'm not to go into her office, our precautions are mainly for her (if so then keep her home) Don't know how long until they get covid results back but they think because Karen (ha, yes her name is karen) works at the hospital, theirs will be fast. I don't know if we'll take a 2 week vacation if they're positive or what. We have been precautionary, we aren't "public", there aren't 50 people through here every day. Anyone picking up has been kept up front since May, delivery people in the back. but the co-worker dude was a bit of a denier. When they first started shutting down churches, schools etc he thought everyone is overreacting and grumbled "If you can't shake my hand at church...blah blah blah".

We can't run presses without them but we have a mailing today (digital) that has to go out. Football program was cancelled last week because football was cancelled. But we could absolutely function without mom, I think it's insanity that she's still coming in. but if they're positive we should close. We aren't a threat to the public, but they are a threat to me. I think it's hilarious that I've been yelled at as the one whose broken the rules but they're the ones having the "scare". I had some random girl follow me from the front room even though I say "please wait here I'll get your stuff" and they went apeshit on me that I allowed someone in. And of course their friends and family have been immune to the "nobody allowed inside" rule. Do I think it's covid? Don't know, feels too fast for neanderthal brother to have a fever the very next day. I do think Karen could very well be and her husband directly exposure and maybe since he works most closely with neanderthal they could have been breathing on each other for a week or more. I def hope for false alarm.

Yeah, since numbers are down, everyone's like "it's over! We can all come out to play!" And of course numbers are going up, especially in colleges. My niece drove cross-country, self-quarantined for 2 weeks, only to have her college shut down because some kids went to a party and then there were about 250 new cases in a few days.

Good luck! My calendar is literally full of zoom appointments for my two school aged kids. I can’t keep up. Oldest one (5th grade) is failing every test. This nonsense doesn’t work for him and it’s a constant struggle. On top of that I run a business out of my home and decided that for my four year old I would teach her, her two cousins and another girl from her now closed preschool three days a week. My life is insane.

Good luck to those of you trying to school. The neighbor child who is....let's say precocious....that's a word that means "asshole" but you're not supposed to think 10 year olds are  assholes but lets face it this kid is an asshole, was complaining about "going back to school" apparently it's 2 days a week 4 hours a day. So basically 8 hours. (Don't know what anyone else's schooling schedule looks like). Anywho this little asshole (precious angel) is having an adults only birthday next week and she keeps insisting that I'm giving her my iphone (I have a 6s) she constantly, constantly wants to "hold it". Number 1 no 10 year needs a party where there are no other kids invited. This kid needs kids her own age and Number 2 she's getting something from Five Below (everything is $5 or less) She has an ipad and an android phone that are constantly broken or taken away as punishment so why does she need my iphone? plus does she not think her grandma is going to put the same restrictions on an iphone that she puts on any other device. She is blocked from app store purchases. No apps that cost money nor any that allow "in app" purchases. Nothing is getting into her hands that won't go through grandma's first, I'm not quite sure how dumb she thinks we all are.

Co-worker's wife tested positive so it's a fair assumption that he will as well. Her father also has it. So neanderthal boss hugged her and also feels unwell I'm guessing him also. Now, I still feel fine. They went from nothing to feverish between Tuesday last week til Saturday. I haven't seen or been anywhere near them since last Thursday, possibly before either of them could be contagious but also I am not in proximity to them at work anyway. I have my own office, they work in the press room. I do need to ask myself if I wanna go get tested. We have a free drive up testing site. Damn I don't wanna poke my brain.

We have been away for 1 week already, I do not know what exactly is going to happen at work, brother man said something about the possibility that they may work after hours so they aren't here when anyone else is and they stay strictly in the press room. The building does function as 2 separate bio spheres, as in we have offices and doors closed off and our own a/c system so the air they breathe doesn't even get recycled into our air ducts. ( I had been thinking of this about people's homes, if you have a relatively small apartment or system then if you cough and exhale nasty disease then it goes into the air conditioning like on an airplane) Mold and allergies and all kinds of things can be pointed straight at air ducts. Symptom wise both boss and coworker at the moment just have low grade fevers, not terrible breathing issues or cough so I don't know how they'll feel about working at night just to catch up. If they stay out another week we can survive and that's 2 weeks for them but I don't know how they're going to handle this. But that's providing that this coronavirus doesn't linger in them and put them in the hospital. I'm still fine and unknowingly last Sunday did see some friends so I would have exposed them before I knew and obviously for now will be staying away from everyone else. I think me not having symptoms and my friends not having symptoms by now puts us mostly in the clear but still, sigh.

I want them to segregate the bathrooms but I've wanted that for a long time. The one co-worker already only uses the back bathroom so I call that the "boys" room and the front one the girls but neanderthal man uses whichever. Not saying men are disgusting but they are "pressmen" so they're extra hand dirty. They do wash up in an industrial sink in the back, for getting ink off etc but yeah I'd much prefer not to share or have to clean up after them on a regular basis much less covid era.

Today was a surprise, co-worker showed up for work. I'm not entirely sure he's clear for that. He says the first 4 days are the only contagious days and he no longer has a fever. I'm sure he feels fine. His wife though is still at home sick. If CDC guidelines its supposed to be 10 days from onset of symptoms and also no fever. Technically he's right on the bubble if we are counting Tuesday before last as his "symptoms" the exposure having been the weekend before at the birthday party. The other co-worker is still out (neanderthal boss) he still has a fever. His symptoms would have started Saturday before last.

I don't like having "community" bowls of anything.  Each person should have their own bowls of snacks.

Each person should have their own dip.  Double dipping is gross, and I know a medical doctor that double dips all of the time in a "community" dip bowl.

As for washing hands in the bathroom.  I wash them constantly, but I know once I touch that doorknob exiting the bathroom, I have touched a doorknob that has been touched by many unwashed hands.

And don't get me started on nose pickers.  They are just flat out disgusting.

Around these parts we've come up with various entertaining names for the roadkill (dogmats, Texas speedbumps, snakecakes, etc.), with special consideration for when the decomp gases start getting them good and plumped up - raccoon balloons, possum balls - you get the idea.  
Don’t recollect as I’ve ever heard of one for mink, though; what would that be?  

Given their bloat was popping them clean out of the ground - mink unsink, maybe?  😁

We lucky? Gullible citizens of the UK, seem to be first in line to have who the hell knows what injected into our bodies. After a mere cursory look at the ingredients of the so called ‘approved’ Corona-Virus vaccine, I personally have many, many questions regarding some very worrying and  unpleasant aspects of those ingredients. Needless to say, no motherfucker is coming anywhere near me with a fucking needle 💉

Around here, we're going into a deeper lockdown on par with the one in April/May. Okay, so this virus has some advantages for selfish, ego-centric people like me. Today I had to leave my little corner of the world and go "Downtown" for some hospital tests. I took a commuter train. Normally if you don't get there at the crack of dawn there are no spaces left in the parking lot. Today there were about 15 cars there (as opposed to Walmart, whose parking lot remains jammed). Who feels like it's a major bonus when you get to park right next to the place you need to be? I did, and quietly whooped for joy.

Then the train was virtually empty. What a luxury. I was so bedazzled I didn't know what seat to take . I've taken this train when it was SRO. And then at this major, huge medical complex, I managed to get in and out  - all tests done - in about one hour. Glory be!

Actually, this pandemic has little effect on me, other than the perks of empty waiting rooms, parking lots, highways, and trains, but for those who are losing a lot because of it, I hope this vaccine is effective and available soon.

My sister’s brother-in-law (her husband’s brother) was admitted into the Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s COVID ICU this morning.  😞

If it helps protect the elderly or those medically compromised, keeping them both alive and able to see their families again, I agree,the option should be there. Living on an island, I wonder how long it will be before I need a ‘vaccine’ stamp in my passport if I ever wish to leave.

I haven't researched this for truth, but I have read a couple of times that there's no anecdote for any ill effects resulting from this vaccine.
