Evil Twins: Days Stars in Other Roles

We were discussing Parker's age here so I decided to look it up.  The actor was born 3/28/09 so he is almost 6.  I was concerned the other day when Dingy was carrying him like a baby and all he said was daddy like he was 2 and they keep tickling him.  I hope the parent's aren't trying intentionally to keep them acting like babies. At least someone told Dingy to stop holding him by the ankles.

Ariana twins were born 10/22/12 so they are 2 1/2.  Gosh they're tiny and we never see them walk.  On the show she's almost 2, right?  She will be on the show 2 yrs as of 5/22.

Ciara of the Corn, Casper and Theo were all born in 2003 making them 12 later this year.  Theo and Ciara will celebrate their 7th! year on Days 5/22 and 5/21.  BTW where is Theo been?

Since they're going to age Joey are they going to age Ciara?  I can't imagine her as any other actress.  I sort of imagine she will grow up to be Roxanne.

Yeah I know they are twins.  Kids under 5 always are. Johnny too. I suspect they saw the talent in Ciara and declined to hire twins.  Heck on Doc Martin they have six kids playing his baby.

I saw a casting call that asked for a gorgeous 16-year old African-American male, which makes me think they're also SORASing Theo, which means they almost have to SORAS Ciara. Which sucks. Although they can always just kind of ignore it. Remember that E.J. is actually supposed to be five years young than Will, and he was Will's stepfather?

Damn it, I really want Lauren Boles to be Day's first kid lifer. I can't think of anyone else that we saw as a little kid, and actually got to grow into a teenager on the show. The closest would be Christie Clark, who started at 12.

By "kid lifer", I mean someone who started as a little kid on the show, and then actually got to grow up to young adulthood in real-time without getting recast. The best known example of this would be Kimberly McCollough Robin on General Hospital, who started the show at age 7 and played the character into her 30's. Christie and Ali are close but they were more like teenagers when they started. (Well, Christie was 12, but she was still adolescent.)

I do wonder if there's been a conscious effort to not have Ciara be around Theo because they plan on aging him up while leaving her the same age, and that's why they've introduced Chase, as her new peer.

The first time I read this I thought it meant a lifer in prison.  After she goes on her Bad Seed killing spree.  Like Rhoda, she is acting like the perfect child and getting everything she wants, isn't she?

It's a term carried over from the General Hospital and One Life to Live TWOP forums- both shows had at least two kid characters that were allowed to age into young adulthood on the show, GH especially.

Days doesn't really have that as much given their propensity towards extreme SORAS. I think the Theo and Ciara actors have had the longest run I've seen of pre-adolescent kid actors on Days.

Can someone correct me, I can't remember the year, but Theo while a contemporary of Ciara's is really supposed to be older than her right?  Not SORAS older but more Abby/Will older.

Methodwriter85, I think you may be right about TPTB keeping Ciara and Theo apart if they plan on SORASing him, and slowly moving Chase into her orbit.  Ciara and Theo were always joined at the hip growing up, so it would be interesting to see them at different ages.

I think it's an interesting concept about who to SORAS and who not.  On one hand Days has a real issue with their generations and keeping a consistent flow to them.  The late twenties/early thirties generation was completely wiped out, and there really is a gap there.

The Paige/JJ and company teen scene is pretty much the worst they have had in decades and summer is coming up, which is usually when they up the "teen" storylines.

As much as I like little Lauren as an actress I wouldn't mind if they SORAS all the younger kids to teens. Theo, Ciara, Joey, Chase.  Bring back JT, as an 18 year old now and not suffering from FAS.  Bring Benjy's widow and teenage child to the show.  When Sami returns back for the 50th, reintroduce Ally, Johnny, and Sydney as teenagers.

According to Wikipedia, Theo was born in May of 2003 and Ciara was born in February of 2007.

QuelleC, you've got me laughing with this!! And leave it to you to make the PERFECT comparison between Ciara and Rhoda from The Bad Seed.  Chase better watch out - if he wins Claude Daigle's Good Penmanship Medal, things WILL get dicey!

It's pretty much JUST Paige and JJ. Everyone else is just window dressing with no point of view. You would think with the money they spent to add a new Salem University set, they'd add actual teen characters.

Riley Bodenstab, the guy who plays Cole, just showed up on the latest episode of Justified!  He was only in a couple of scenes, but I have to say - the lighting on Justified made him look about 10 times more handsome than he does on Days. He did a great job - very different from Cole and also believable.

Just thought I'd mention Andrea Barber, the original child Carrie Brady is back in the news as joining the Fuller House reboot as the obnoxious Kimmy Gibbler.  She was always a Mar Mini Me every time I saw her.  I always thought Christie Clark was holier than thou more than Missy Reeves, way earlier.  Although she had great hair and the Jar Jar slap still satisfies.

I always thought it was interesting that Carrie was always like Marlena, while Sami turned out to be a lot like Anna Dimera.

KDP selling No No on Sunday afternoon over the air TV?  At least we didn't have to see her stubble. But secretly, does anyone know if it works?

I honestly don't know. I'm a fair haired girl myself. All I do know is that Kassie has long felt self-conscious about her own body hair and No-No did not come to her on this, she went to them because she tried it and was so wowed by it.

Whether that's a selling item or not, I don't know. But that's what I've heard.

Hey, DAYS folks! I normally hang out in the Y&R forum, but thought I'd drop by and mention that I saw Joseph Mascolo in an old ep of All in the Family tonight. I didn't catch the original airdate, but it was probably around 1974.

I love that episode.  It's one of my favorites, "Gloria's boyfriend".  He plays George's father.  I remember watching that episode for the first time years ago and thinking "Stefano" the whole time he was on screen.

I saw the actress that plays Anne in an episode of The Facts of Life today, I think from like 1986 or so. She was playing a snarky student. It was funny, the character acted JUST like Anne is today.  From now on, I'm going to fanwank that Anne actually went to the Eastland school for girls and just went by a different name back then, lol.

This movie has been out a while, but I just saw it and I don't see any other comments related to it SO....

Shelley Hennig, who used to play Stephanie Johnson, starred in the recent horror movie Unfriended. It was much better than I expected it to be, and she gave a good performance. She played the main character, so good for her!

I just caught a glimpse of KDP playing Kristen Stewart's stepmonster in a movie from about 10 years ago.  Her features looked a little heavier than now.  I recognized the singsong voice first but it wasn't as southern as she plays it on Days.  Still, always nice to catch a Days actor somewhere.

I saw the girl that plays Zoe, True Vista editor, Will's employer who went on a few dates with Chad on HBO's True Detective last night. She played a high end escort. She had lines and everything.

I recently saw Shelley in the horror movie Ouija and that was pretty horrible.

This is Michael Cardelle, who plays Kyle, appearing in the movie "House of Usher", by David Decouteau.  Decouteau is known for his movies with lots and lots of naked young men (although from what I understand, there;s never any outright male-on-male sex)

Man, I'm watching the online soap "Winterthorne", and it's so campy it's beyond ridiculous.  Starring Martha Madison and Kirsten Storms, with Kevin Spirtas and John-Paul Lavoisier. Also Kathleen Gati, Linda Gray and Gordon Thomson.
