I'm guessing Meghan isn't a dog person. She stayed at her end of the table and didn't say a word when that beautiful dog was there.  Isn't there some famous quote about not trusting people who don't like dogs?

Lol! In all seriousness there are people with dog phobias who are lovely and nothing like Meghan.

Except that she was evasive on one question--that while she was prosecutor, why the disproportionality of prosecutions against police brutality. Klobuchar just skipped right over that, didn't answer, and went on to say how she did a good job coming down on white collar crime.

This is true. Sunny should have went back to that, but my issue with this part isn't the initial line of questioning that Sunny had. She was great in pushing Klobuchar, but the final part that Sunny said didn't sit well with me since it felt more like an interrogation instead of an interview. I don't like Klobuchar and she has a horrible record with black people, but I think there's a way to push back on Klobuchar without it coming off like you're holding water for Kamala.

I only say this, because if it was a standalone thing I think I'd be fine with what Sunny did. But she didn't go this hard when Kamala, Bloomberg, Biden, Buttigieg, etc... when they came. She also said earlier in the week that she felt like there's a double standard when it comes to Kamala's record and Klobuchar. Both targeted minorities, but Kamala's okay and Klobuchar isn't?

It's just all of these background information that made this exchange not sit well with me. (Just the final part that Sunny said, especially when it came to her body language)

O.M.G. the silence that followed after Joy spoke in the Roger Stone segment. Of course they were waiting for MeMeghun to start speaking since the others already spoke but she didn't and Whoopi didn't go to commercials right away so Sunny tried to go to the next topic.

Meghan is definitely not a team player; she couldn't care less about the show. It's all about her. If princess gets put in an awkward spot, by god she'll just shut the whole thing down.

Hello everyone! I'm a new member here. I've been looking for a good forum to discuss the show, and finally found one, I've been DVRing the show since Rosie's first year (2006-07), though skipped the trainwreck year (Jenny McCarthy).

As for this week's show  - I'm curious as to why the haven't brought up the Gayle King / Snoop Dogg situation all week, when it's being discussed throughout the media since Monday ? Oprah was crying on the "TODAY" show last week about how her friend Gayle is not handling this well, and 'Morning Joe' has been very vocal against SD and his threat to GK.  Seems strange that THE VIEW is ignoring this in Hot Topics - especially Sunny Hostin.  Thoughts ?

Hi There!  Welcome to the Party!  Good People here!

I have a couple different theories on that sitch.  (1) timing?  For some reason it seems like its been a sbort week.  But its been filled with political peeps.  When they are on they take the whole hour. One HT segment and then bring' em on.  Dont get me wrong,  i do like the political guests.  I have learned a lot.  But maybe cut them down a segment time wise,  to get in other stuff.  (2)  if Whoopi had been here ( lol there) i dont think it would have been omitted.  Ditto Sunny.  Did she mention the Jussie Smollett sitch?  That might still be too new.  But if nothing is said about either in the next couple/few shows....dot dot dot

My dreams are full on Freudian symbolism.  I’m driving a car I can’t control, I’m publicly bathing, and several times a week, I’m being rejected and cruelly treated by my closest loved ones. Throw in devil dreams weekly where I’m paralyzed by evil and unable to pray for my safety.

I’m clearly a basket case who feels their life is out of their control, feels vulnerable and exposed, and feels insecure in all close relationships. Lol.

Its funny,  i have car dreams too.  Mine are always the exaxt same.  My car is parked somewhere and i cannot find it.  I walk all day all night,  up and down every level in the ramp,  up and down all streets.  I wake up exhausted.  It feels like those kind that last the whole night.  Then i have all the various.  I loved my dream life,  except the car lol.  I swear i would astral project.  I literally felt i was flying.  When i would come back to my body,  i would have this strooooong jolt right out of my bed.  Sad thing is I dont any of it anymore.  They put me on a medication and nothing gets thru that fog.  I miss them.

Otherwise, enjoyed the MM-less show.   Was a little surprised Anna didn't push back on Gov. Newsom though just a little.   He basically said CA is proof that progressive policies work on the large scale.  We know that would have flustered MM.

I'm not a fan of Klobuchar and her record when it comes to black people is horrible...I like Bernie best lol, I just feel like Sunny going after Klobuchar's record in the manner that she did was more due to her love of Kamala Harris then anything else. Kamala's record was brought up more, but I truly feel like it was because no one expects much of Klobuchar and didn't think she'd still be in the race for this long. Kamala was looking better and had more hype.

I agree, but I think Sunny would have questioned her the way she did even if Kamala had not run for president.  The possibility that Klobuchar helped send a teenager to prison for life for something he didn't do would've been something that Sunny would ask about regardless, especially since Klobuchar touted this case as an example of her being tough on crime as recently as last fall during one of the debates.

I was thinking how cool it must be to be Janet Jackson.  So she's being driven in her large black SVU - her and her assistant decide to stop by the The View - her driver pulls up the overhead garage doors (on the side street, where talent enters) and tells the attendant that Ms Jackson would like to come in.  She gets to go in.  Then someone tells the producers that Ms Jackson would like to walk on stage and present a gift to all and they let her.  Baller moves.

Did anybody think that Rush's award and battle with "cancer" would humble him, of course not! Not to mention, I have been shocked that there have not been more homophobic attacks against Mayor Pete.  Perhaps it is because nobody expected him to get this far, but now the floodgates have open, there will be more of this in the future.

Messy can never denounce a Republican no matter what, yet, she claims to be an ally of the LGBTQ community. Give me a break, girl bye!

"Mr. Man?!!!!"

Meghan looked like a little kid on tv for the first time with the way she way she was looking at the audience while laughing and playing with her mike when the wire became untucked from her neckline.

"Can we add women in there?"  Meghan trying to produce the show again, but showing just how bad she would be at that job.

I wonder why Biden completely ignored Sunny's question about the Bloomberg audio and video tapes and changed the subject.  He talked about him earlier.

When they were going to commercial you could hear Whoopie say, "Stacey Abrams, vice president" and the camera wasn't even on her anymore.  Why not include that in the main part of the show?

That moment where Jill Biden escorted the guy away was amazing.  Even as big and as tall as he was, she was like, "Nope".  In a different video where you can see what happened a few seconds after the clip they showed ended, the guy lost it, and was shouting and flailing his arms.  Biden was on Morning Joe the day after this happened, and he said then that Jill told him she thought the guy might've had a gun, so she felt she had to do something.

Yeah that 'mr man' crap made me gag in my mouth.  I havent watched yet so havent seen that but wow i will definitely watch for it.  What a brave woman she is!  Way to defuse a sitch!  Im in awe of ppl who can see and read something and act. No second thought. 1, 2, 3 boom.  Better safe than sorry. It aint an idiom for a reason folks.  Awesome tidbit @lusinia!!

Thank goodness that wasnt the case.  I imagine they have to get wanded or screened. But who knows what security they have.  Jill didnt.  She saw she acted.  High ^5!

P.s.  ok i just saw the Stacey Abrams part.  That was weird.  Either it was like she was saying who was up next.  Like leaning into Joe.  Or maybe wanted to talk to him about it during the break.  Odd.  Maybe planting a seed hehee

Yes, that was so believable, huh?

My questions:

1. If this was a 'surprise visit', how did Whoopi know about when her tickets go on sale when she closed the segment?

2. Did Janet Jackson where that big coat to cover up her talked about weight gain? She usually is seen in public in more tight, form fitting clothing and costumes. This was completely out of character for her to wear such over-sized clothing.

The show could spend more time with topics such as this rather than devote time to the on-air garage sale known as 'View Your Deal' practically every other day. I agreed with Rosie five years ago when she said the segment cheapened the show.

But God knows how much money in kick-backs they receive from each company for every item sold off their website.

They mentioned the day before during one of the pre-commercial bumpers, when the announcer says "Tomorrow on The View...." that a superstar would be stopping by, but Janet must not have known that, and she obviously wanted to make it sound like it was a completely spur of the moment decision, so it was a little awkward.

She wouldn't have reacted because her father is a saint and would never have done something so vile.  It must be misreported or made up. 🙄❄️

I liked the Bidens and I thought Joe did quite well.  He is very relatable and authentic.  I liked the way he addressed the Lindsay Graham thing.  And the way he talked about his kids and grandkids.  And then he also managed to make some very strong statements about issues and about Trump and the country.  I think if he gets out and does more media Bloomberg will fade away.

The producers of this shit-show must just go day-drinking after every episode.  Is it too much to ask for these co-hosts who get paid a ton of money to act somewhat professional?

  • MeAgain low talks while everyone else is talking so you cannot quite hear her, but now you also cannot hear anyone else.
  • MeAgain's mike becomes unclipped, but she is off camera, so she just needs to clip it back on.  It's easy to do.  Instead, she makes a fuss, points to her producer, and thus the camera goes to her (stupid) and meanwhile Sunny just keeps trying to make the point she is making.  One of these days I wish that Sunny would just stop talking every time MeAgain does something to interrupt her and just look at her.  And then when she is finished blathering, Sunny should say:  are you finished now?
  • Joy apparently softly said, we need to go to break, it seemed almost to herself but maybe to Joe and Whoopi.  We wouldn't have noticed it.  But Whoopi has to call it out and admonish Joy, asking her if she needed to be somewhere else, or something like that.  Joy looked stunned.

I admit I tuned out a bit after the first segment with Biden. I don't dislike him, he seems like a nice person, but I was just bored. So I didn't see what you're referring to here. I hope Whoopi isn't about to start up her sniping at Joy again. It always comes across as job insecurity.
