I probably won't be posting until later because right now I'm making a list of how I'm planning to spend my money for the month.  Once I finish the list and the flowchart, I will submit it to all of you for your consideration.  If you think I should do flashier stuff with my money, please let me know.  I will hold off on paying for anything until I have the opinion of each and everyone of you.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Team Jackie here. Jennifer is such a dumb ass. Everything she does is for show. Whether it's indulging her lazy brats or throwing silverware. Who criticizes a kids birthday party? The all looked like they were having fun except for Jen's whiney   little girl. I personally think it's assinine  to spend huge amounts of $ on a party when kids are happy eating pizza and playing. Jackie is secure enough in herself not to have to do that.

And yea Melissa - none of the moron trio could get her point that saving for the kid's futures was more important than a showy party. They're all so easily offended. Always looking for a fight when there's nothing to fight about.

Jennifer complains that Jackie isn't accepting her for how she is, but Jackie could say the very same thing about Jennifer.  Jennifer's going after Jackie because Jennifer doesn't understand how Jackie doesn't do everything in a BIG way (because she has the money) and implying that she's cheap.  I agree with Lady of Nod that Jackie doesn't feel the need to display her wealth like that.  The kids party was for the kids  - pizza and Bball - not the adults.  Plus, Jennifer is about as shallow as they come.  Well, except for possibly Teresa.

I think they should leave Jackie alone about her eating.  She doesn’t look unhealthy underweight to my eye.  If she was overweight, no one would say anything.

I like that Margaret stood up for Jennifer and told Jackie that Jennifer didn’t say anything about Jackie’s weight.  I like the fact that there are friendships on this franchise (Margaret-Jennifer) that are independent of Teresa and Melissa.

Dolores took Melissa’s comments exactly the way I took them last week.  They were insulting.  Jennifer was also plenty insulting, but two things can be true at once, and Melissa didn’t have to drag Teresa and Dolores into a fight between Jennifer and Jackie and make them collateral damage.  

I am so Team Dolores on this one.  I wish Jennifer hadn’t interrupted Melissa when Teresa asked Melissa why she called her ignorant.  Of course Teresa is ignorant.  She is likely the most ignorant person ever cast on any Housewives franchise.  But...justify calling Teresa to her face when she’s not saying or doing anything wrong, Melissa.  And then turn around and basically invokes the Sister In Law Blood Loyalty Compact that Teresa stupidly invokes from time to time.  Teresa is not the only woman in that family who holds grudges; that much is obvious.

Melissa has no ability to argue a point.  When she gets angry, it quickly devolves into f-words and words that pack a strong emotional punch like “sister in law” and “family,” but she doesn’t really say anything coherent.  Did she really yell across a restaurant, “Ya looking at me?!”  That’s not as bad as disturbing table wear, but it’s in the same ghetto family.

I think Jennifer did the right thing to leave.  I didn’t make the connection last week, but if she’s still holding a grudge about the article and spoiled children, it makes some sense.  I posted about it last season that this article would have left a bad taste in my mouth too.  I didn’t see the smirk, but I saw it last year, and that, combined with false modesty and a hint of reverse snobbery would make me want to pack up and go too.  It shouldn’t be about fighting per se, it’s just time to go when people can’t see eye to eye.

Joe Begnino is a man amongst men beasts. 

Jackie’s admiration and adoration for Teresa (offering to set Teresa up with multiple men while Teresa’s husband is in ICE detention) makes me totally believe the book signing rumor about Jackie semi-stalking Teresa at the mall years ago.  I could so hear Jackie gushing to Teresa how much she loves her upon first meeting.  

Melissa and Joe at the gym are nauseating.  Yes, let’s see Melissa build herself a big butt.  Scintillating.  

The deportation storyline is completely dull to me.  At least when Margaret has sad talks with her mom, we don’t know exactly how it turns out in advance.  🙋‍♂️

I'm so glad Jennifer went home. I couldn't take any more yelling. I was surprised Teresa actually chose to stay. You could see the wheels turning as she tried to decide which person to listen to. She certainly can't think for herself. 

I loved Jackie opening up about her eating disorder. I struggled with anorexia, myself, as a young girl. I totally got her frustration. To others, it seems like she's not eating very much. But to HER? She's actually eating a lot. One thing I love about Margaret is her ability to be empathetic and humble. She can learn and admit wrongs.

Were Joe Go and Frank wearing the same shirt at the bar??

I also loved the Uncle Eric scene. What a sweetheart.  Jackie can be annoying sometimes, but I think she's a good egg. What's up with her dad having no food and 7 gallons of mouthwash?

I guess Melissa was right. Tre really IS ignorant. Forgetting all their documents like that. Yikes.

What is so strong about Teresa Giudice?  That she is getting paid to be on TV and go on vacation, because she wears tight jeans and long extensions, blinks a lot, “hustles” by being driven everywhere, having someone write her books for her, and having a million yes-men and people propping her up, including what appears to be a round-the-clock lawyer?  Because she has a husband in jail, because they both committed crimes and got caught?  Because she pretends nothing is wrong?  Like...ok.  I don’t think that makes her strong, I think she has a deficiency.  It’s the same attitude that Jackie described Dolores as having a few episodes ago—she can be nine months pregnant and cheated on and she won’t break a sweat.  It’s because they’re stunted, not because they’re strong.  

When I was growing up, my mom and my dad had each other, but in the early years he worked actual 15 hour days (not JoGo 15 hour days) and my mom had two little ones in a three story walk-up without enough money to buy a bra.  A few years later, when my sister and I were in school, she got a real estate license and rented apartments while my dad continued to work 15 hour days so that my sister and I could have the best of the best.  I’m not saying that the closer someone is to poverty, the closer they are to virtue, but I think my parents are somewhat strong for what they went through for me and my sis.  I just don’t see the women on this show that way.  They’re all spoiled bitches.  Dolores was stealth about it for most of her first season, until she pitched a fit to her ex-husband that she needed new cabinets, and my opinion of her plummeted.  Just IMO.  

The only time I thought “Teresa is doing something harder than other women are capable of” was last season when she was doing the fitness competition, and she didn’t drink alcohol one time and she brought her own bagged meat everywhere.  That was all that impressed me.  🤷‍♀️

No previews again?  Andy is really trying to get us to watch his shitty after show, isn’t he?

I've complained about the need to mention Eric is disabled every time he's on pissing me off before but they did it again so I have to complain. Stop defining him by that. 

 

I'm so confused by when Joe and Teresa met. Season 3 or 4 Joe Gorga was screaming about thinking they were cousins and now "Joe came along and everything changed." Granted they're all idiots but everything seemed to imply their families were long time friends growing up.

 

Jennifer even stepping foot in Jackie's home after calling her cheap. Uh. No. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200. Send someone inside for your stuff and bye. And I don't even like Jackie much.

Jenn likes to think she's so classy with her clothes and birthday extravaganzas.  Honey, classy doesn't throw a utensil or a plate 'toward' someone while knocking over food in the process.

I enjoyed learning more about Jackie's brother as well as her eating disorder.  I feel like I really got to know her better.

When I go on a trip, I make sure all the id documents are out and next to my purse and I make a list.

As the other women have said, Jenn is also very generous. Margaret said that Jackie is a very private person.  Then why is she on a reality TV show???  There was like zero effort put into that birthday party.  She just doesn't come off as a very nurturing person.  And her poor husband rarely even speaks.

Before discovering Jackie’s level of wealth I think Jennifer was able to feel equal enough to Jackie, if not superior. If Jackie had intelligence at least Jennifer had more money, which (excuse the pun) is her currency. Well now Jackie has more intelligence and way more money Jennifer has nothing to back up any sense of superiority she desperately prefers to have over everyone. IMO obviously!

Lots of them but my family is very into food. I never had a party with pizza, sleepovers and other things but birthdays were special occasions. I mean I have of course been to kids parties where pizza was served bout it wasn’t every party or even a vast majority. My niece who turns seven next month  is having a poutine bar at her party.

It comes off as very patronizing. I don't like it either.  

I find Jackie insufferable overall.  Also in this episode we had to hear how she was the one to recognize the damage her disorder was doing to her and initiate treatment.  She was already with her husband at that point and I guess he didn't notice she had a problem either?  Her parents forced her to take care of herself because they were too busy with her brother.  What happend to her sister?  The one she didn't have a relationship with last season, but we were never given a clue as to why. I would bet that sister might have an interesting tale to tell. Maybe Bravo could pull her in to be another Melissa throwing a fly into an existing housewife's ointment.   

Oh, and Jackie, the problem with that party wasn't that you had pizza.  The problem was that it was just a playdate masquerading as a party based upon the amount of effort it appeared to have taken.  There were other people there besides the boys.  There were at least two girls as well as adults.  When throwing a party the host should be responsible for the guests as well as the guests of honor.  Hospitality does not have to cost a lot of money either.  Just some consideration toward making all of all the guests fell comfortable and welcome.  I don't think kids need the type of extravaganza like some of the others would plan, but at least they actually make provisions for everyone at the party and not just their own kids.

I understand what your saying but I think the editors are taking into account viewers who aren’t hyper vigilant viewers. I don’t remember her brother from previous appearances but given the world we live in I can only imagine the posts and tweets Saying super shitty things by people who weren’t aware of his issues. As an example I have no idea if Schwartz on VPR triplet brothers have any actual issues because it’s never been mentioned but the comments and speculation when they appear gets ugly, condescending and weird.

I didnt know about the VPR thing. But they don't just mention he's disabled it's also he's a life lesson (commonly referred to as inspiration porn by at me/my disabled friends/Internet disabled talk. ) IDK if my brother was on a reality show and I was "disabled sister ".... We'd  have a Joe and Teresa Gorga level problem, complete angry Italians on parade.  But I'll try to take the Internet part going forward in my future judgement.

Jackie's father wasn't too busy with her brother when he was taking Jackie to Casinos with a fake ID. They found time to commit the frauds that got them house arrest. Every time Jackie starts to be honest about her life she pulls back.  And plays the Eric card. And my blood pressure probably goes up. Someone on Twitter said the rumor is Jackie's sister and Evan cheated once but I have no idea where it came from.

I’ve seen a photo of Jackie at her wedding and sadly she looked emaciated. What were her parents and Evan thinking ? No doubt the stress of a big wedding was difficult for Jackie in the midst of her eating disorder struggles. 

Melissa’s comment about Jackie being a saver and probably a good financial planner was blown way out of context. Jackie was being picked on and Melissa was being a good friend. 

At least we know that big Frank is waking up with morning wood now that he lost 20 pounds 🤢.

That's funny how her son and ALL his friends seemed to love that birthday party .... God just think of all those parents that don't throw 150k/200k on parties how dare they call themselves parents right? preteens and teenage boys don't give a fuck about gift bags and flowers and decorations come on now ....Parent shaming on the internet really needs to calm down ... the kids aren't being neglected or hungry let her parent her way....

Jennifer screaming about Jackie's birthday party planning, it wasn't good enough for her, not good enough for her kids...Jennifer admitted that her kids are spoiled, her husband told her she spoils the kids, (presents given as bribes for eating a lettuce leaf, etc...) but yet she screams at Jackie about how she is not spending enough money, why are we back arguing about this?  Jennifer even told Jackie she was right about how she spoils her kids.  

Jennifer is an ungrateful guest however Jennifer will be the first one to complain about not being invited to the next event Jackie is hosting, and I hope it is an over the top affair!

I agree. It blew me away that Delores found offense in anything Melissa said.  If anything, it should have been a sober pause -- think about it --aha moment because Melissa's point is spot on. Saving money is the smart and does win in the end. All these HWs spend most of  their money on depreciating assets.

Right? shes acting like shes got it like that and yes while she might have money I'm positive shes not so loaded that she can just do this all the time and not end up in debt eventually... it doesn't seem like she has any investments to speak of so her money isn't making money for her shes just throwing it into the wind.... Again she can spend her money any way her and her husband sees fit but it just comes across has financially irresponsible... just ask Taylor from BH ... Listening to Jenn talk it also comes across as she isn't spending the money out of love for her daughter/kids shes doing it to impress other parents/people so her argument that she is the better parent because she throws these lavish 150k/200k parties is moot cause shes not doing it for her kids shes doing it for her own ego and the adulation of the parents not her kids who is the whole reason for the freaking party in the first place   ....

While it is ironic that Melissa was making the very valid point of how short sighted it is to blow all one's money on crap, the other housewives were stupid for not understanding the point she was making.

None of the other housewives are wealthy in the sense of having assets. They currently have salaries and the live lifestyles in which they spend their salaries. Jennifer's husband might be making a high salary as a plastic surgeon but it's still a salary that is limited by the hours and procedures he can perform.

Jackie inherited significant wealth and her husband is a partner in a hedge fund. Their money is MAKING money for them versus using it all to purchase expensive stuff. Cars and clothing and furniture aren't investments. Nine hundred sunglasses aren't investments :-).

All of Jackie's children will inherit significant trust funds. Not that having a trust fund is the only barometer of success as there are plenty of screwed up trust fund kids. However, based on how she is actually parenting her children, they seem to be headed for productive lives. I have a friend like Jackie - the family is worth mega-millions but they live very quiet lives and most people would not suspect they are anything other than upper middle class professionals. The kids were all expected to do well at school and weren't spoiled by lavish material stuff. And the horror - birthday parties were pizza, cake and kids' types of games. Once we organized a scavenger hunt when they were in their tweens. 

Jennifer is besides her self with jealously because she had thought she established herself as the "rich" one in the pecking order. She is projecting the "smirk" onto Jackie because she used to be able to feel superior to the "poor" woman.

This is the icing on the cake with Jennifer's oneupmanship. She not only has to show off what she has, she complains bitterly if she's invited somewhere to an affair not up to her standards. I'm thinking of the trip to the ranch during which she complained about the accommodations just not being suitable for her. Among other things, the house was "too small."

I also feel she probably doesn't really think of her guest's comfort when she throws a shebang - it seems more about her own ostentatious mindset.

This absolutely. I also suspect that where Jackie is concerned, it's not about the pizza. I would bet if Jackie did get a tray of pasta, there would be some complaint about that as well. I suspect having a little more food wouldn't have satisfied her if it wasn't seafood towers. If Jackie had actual goodie bags, Jennifer would find fault in that they didn't contain ipods for her children or something. Jennifer AND her kids are all spoiled and I suspect it's to keep them from complaining so much about Bill not being around. Jackie and Evan don't have to spoil their kids because from what we've seen, they're both very involved and present with their children. I actually appreciate how much of a normal nuclear family they seem to be. At the end of the day,it seems like Jennifer has an expectation of being spoiled everywhere she goes. Every host should spend money the way she does and they should make a show of it.

I'm just gonna respond to this one part of your post.......A birthday party is just a play date with gifts  tho when it comes down to it... the party was for her son not for the parents not for the other kids for her son... her son wanted pizza and to have fun she gave her son pizza and it looked like he was having fun... that should be all that matters
